Dear open letter team Subject: Urgent Appeal Against 80:20 Reservation Rule for Nursing Officer Recruitment I hope this message finds you well. My name is Mohit Gurjar, and I am reaching out to you in desperation and hope. I am a male aspirant for the NORCET (Nursing Officer Recruitment Common Eligibility Test), and I am deeply concerned about the 80:20 ratio rule implemented by AIIMS for nursing officer recruitment. This rule allocates 80% of seats to female candidates and only 20% to male candidates, with further subdivision based on caste reservation. In the previous examination, I achieved an All India Rank of 2700. Despite my dedication and hard work, the limited availability of seats for male candidates, especially in the UR (General) category, poses a significant challenge. Out of approximately 2000 vacancies, only 100 seats are allocated for UR male candidates. This disproportionate reservation violates the right to equality as enshrined in our Constitution. To provide further context, in the last year, NORCET 3, 4, and 5 had a total of approximately 7000 vacancies for nursing officers. Out of these, only about 1200 seats were allocated to male candidates. When considering caste reservations, this left only about 600 seats for general category male candidates. This disparity creates significant difficulty for male candidates during the exam phase. For instance, despite scoring an All India Rank of 1500 in NORCET 4, I did not secure a seat. In NORCET 5, I scored 2700 in the mains, yet the chances of securing a seat remain slim. The 80:20 ratio is unfair and discriminatory against male candidates. I would like to draw your attention to relevant Supreme Court decisions that emphasize the need for reasonable reservation policies. In the landmark case of Indra Sawhney v. Union of India (1992), the Supreme Court emphasized that reservation policies should be reasonable and not exceed 50%. Additionally, in Union of India v. R. Rajeshwaran (2003), the court upheld a much lower reservation percentage for women, justified by specific circumstances. I have written to the Prime Minister and President of India, but without sufficient funds to file an appeal to the high court, I am left with limited options. This is where I hope you can help. Your platform has the power to bring attention to this issue and advocate for a fairer, more equitable resolution. Please, open letter team , consider making a video to highlight this matter. Your voice can make a difference in ensuring that the principles of equality and fairness are upheld in the recruitment process for nursing officers. It is imperative that male candidates like myself are given a fair opportunity to compete for these positions. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am hopeful for your support and a positive response that will bring about a just and equitable resolution. Yours sincerely, Mohit Gurjar

I can really empathize with that. I spent two years pursuing my dream of becoming an Officer in the Indian Army, but unfortunately, I didn't succeed. During that time, I lost focus on my career and, ultimately, lost the love of my life as well. Her parents arranged her marriage to someone else, and she couldn't stand up for our relationship. Bhai norcet pr video bnaa de Imagine entering a race where most of the lanes are already occupied, leaving you with just a fraction of the track to run on. That's what the 80:20 rule feels like in the NORCET exam for male candidates. Picture this: out of every 100 seats available, a staggering 80 are reserved exclusively for female candidates, while only 20 are left for male candidates to compete for. It's like trying to find space in a crowded room where most chairs are already taken. This unequal distribution not only makes the competition incredibly fierce for male candidates but also limits their chances of success. It's like playing a game where the odds are stacked against you from the start. The impact? Talented and deserving male candidates might miss out on opportunities simply because of this gender-based quota system. It's a situation where merit takes a back seat, and the focus shifts to meeting quotas rather than recognizing individual abilities. This rule has sparked discussions about fairness and equal opportunities. Shouldn't everyone, regardless of gender, have a fair chance to showcase their skills and qualifications? It's a question that calls for a reevaluation of how we approach recruitment processes to ensure that talent and merit triumph over arbitrary quotas. 1:27

The root of these problems is the sheep heard mentality. We lack the ability to think on our own. We follow whats in trend and make life choices according to it. Since childhood we are always compared with others around us and forced into things which everyone around us was doing rather than really thinking about whats going to work for us. Education system needs a major revamp along with the industry. Apart from the STEM, other types of jobs also need to be encouraged and created. Students need to be able to choose what they want to do rather than fall prey to peer and societal pressure. There is no lack of jobs in the govenrment and private industry, its that the competition is only for a handfull of positions, rest all are ignored and no one is keen to work in them. For eg. UPSC aspirants want IAS they will not accept forest or other public service positions as they are not that lucrative.

actually, the condition of private jobs in india are not that good. there is no regulations to control salary, no fixed work timings, poor work culture, less growth, exploitation. these are some of the major problems in private sector. unless someone has studied engineering/ any good professional degree from tier 1 / tier 2 college. or has done MBA from a very good college, life is difficult for them. Also, for skill based jobs, the competition is very high, everyone is learning the required skills, and the supply for man force is much more, also the expectations from the companies are very high. freshers are not getting jobs. So, in this situation, if someone is preparing for govt. job to make their future secure. they are not doing anything wrong. So, either get a govt job, if things go well, or accept your fate, and work in whatever salary you get.

Same issue is with JEE. Most of the students are here just because of peer pressure or parents pressure. Even the remaining students do not deserve the seat. Many students are here just so that they can get 30-40lac package. I feel bad when so many resources and skillsets that are been given to students of IITs are just just wasted for 40lac package. Kudos to people who crack JEE advanced, I am not saying that these people dont deserve these achievments but the skillset and stage that is given to IITs students should be given to the people who want to change the society in some way and not just 40lac package and IIT tag.

I have given a few government exams, i have found that the selection system is corrupted. So I have worked for private companies for 11 years, saved some funds. Now I have opened my own business, and financial growth is faster than ever!

It would be really helpful if you could create a detailed video addressing how middle-class individuals, especially graduates and young professionals, can overcome this challenge. We are looking for practical advice on skill development, exploring alternative career options, and financial strategies that can help us secure jobs and lead stable lives. It would be great if you could also cover important aspects like side incomes, starting small businesses, freelancing, and how to handle mental health during these tough times. Most people have shifted to government sector because private sector is not good in our country. With less salary private they expect us to work in tier 1 city with lots of bad politics. So why not to prepare for government job if we have to face same politics and salary in private.

You cannot change the country, state, district,or a city by govt job because you are not making rules you are only implementing it. (You can try your best to implement it.) Lawmakers(politicians) can do that.

Dear open letter team
Subject: Urgent Appeal Against 80:20 Reservation Rule for Nursing Officer Recruitment
I hope this message finds you well.
Yours sincerely,
Mohit Gurjar

Bhai norcet pr video bnaa de
Imagine entering a race where most of the lanes are already occupied, leaving you with just a fraction of the track to run on.

@@Toonrverse_n In India its worse, in no other country do people get an orgasm when they hear government jobs. Government jobs are the least lucrative abroad. Everyone gets out of their comfort zone at 15-16 and try their luck out in the market. I am not saying that our family structure is to blame, it's a good thing. However, generation after generation we have been taught to not take risks. In the real world, without risks there is no reward. actually, the condition of private jobs in india are not that good.
there is no regulations to control salary, no fixed work timings, poor work culture, less growth, exploitation.
these are some of the major problems in private sector.
unless someone has studied engineering/ any good professional degree from tier 1 / tier 2 college. or has done MBA from a very good college, life is difficult for them.

You cannot change the country, state, district,or a city by govt job because you are not making rules you are only implementing it.
(You can try your best to implement it.)
Lawmakers(politicians) can do that.
GREAT VIDEO BHAI HATS OFF TO YOU
We are going thru population explosion. There are never going to be enough jobs for every unemployed Indian. So this problem will probably continue for many more years. Of course, the govt should fill the existing vacancies but I dont think everyone will be able to get the much sought after govt job. Sad but true 😢
No no, don't tell the truth otherwise they will come to the real job market and increase competition. Let them prepare, while we enjoy high perks and salary in private sector 😂
Aaega beta tera time bhi jald aajyega...

People need to become self reliable. Only government job dreaming is not worthy these days. Be it farming, private sector job, cinema industry, teaching in private schools and more options are much easy to earn bread and butter and be happy. !
I was fed up with my college syllabus that why I started preparing during graduation and afte garuduation within one and half year I got selected .I knew if I have to keep running my interest in my subject i need money so that I can just read and enjoy .So basically i work for my bread whole day and in night i do what i wanted to do - enjoying exploring Myself . For those who are in college I would say please start early and make a source of income and do what u want
People enrolled in the government services is far less than the country like USA ,CHINA ,and RUSSIA, ..its all depends upon on person to person, ..if someone think he is capable of clearing the exam why he should not do ? Government need people to run its department efficiently, ..only some people in private sector gets a handsome amount of money otherwise the scenery is very wrose ..
Let us take example
A TGT Teacher in government school earns 50k monthly approx whereas same person gets only 20k.approx in the private school,, why people will not prefer? Tell me..
