For me, Godzilla x Kong has to be the best for me. Kotm is my second favorite. it's an underrated movie from 2019. Tbh, my least favorite is Godzilla 1998. It's a good movie. Just Godzilla looks like an oversized Raptor. I also enjoy Godzilla (2014), it's definitely a modern classic.
Hey you forgot to mention, at the end of hiryu the fire dragon there is scene to where hiryu somehow grows his head again and flies away, also hiryu two teaser.
Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956), Godzilla 1985: The Legend is Reborn, and Godzilla 2000 (US) all technically count as American Godzilla movies as well.
People act like the 1998 Godzilla movie is the worst movie to exist in the Godzilla franchise and yet they end up defending Son of Godzilla when someone says that movie is boring. For all its flaws, I'd rather watch the 98 movie than watch that boring snoozefest with minya in it.
I love all the monsterverse films. Godzilla 2014 will always have a special place in my heart. Ofc Godzilla King of the Monsters is my fav in the series. To me it has the perfect Kaiju content. While I rlly rlly rllyyyy wish they built up Ghidorah like he's the thanos of the monsterverse, I still love it nonetheless. Also it kinda annoys me how people thought the soundtrack for King of the Monsters was lackluster. Like I legit don't get it, this movie prob has the best soundtrack in the entire series IMO.
G kotm , Godzilla 1998, and GxK are my fave Godzilla films from America. Fun facts: Zilla’s Orgins were canon to GMK and Orga’s face is actually zilla’s face
I have no idea why people hated Godzilla King of the monsters. In my opinion it’s one of the best Godzilla movies. and the best monsterverse movie and one of my favorite movies of all time it doesn’t deserve all the hate it gets
I absolutely love the ghidorah design, definitely my favorite kaiju design and his mannerisms, movements, and sounds are the icing on the cake for me. Legitimately the only kaiju model I'd actually drop $100 to $200 on to display somewhere in my house
Imagine thinking they’d use fucking DESTOROYAH in Godzilla vs Kong. Mf been fighting burning Goji, and it would be a waste if they just killed him off in like, 20 minutes just to appear in 1 movie.
Nah, I love 98. Saw it as a child. Never understood the hate and never turned against it. Even then I understood it was a take of the character in a realistic setting. Or as real as you can with a big lizard. I mean the death of Godzilla in there makes you emotionally upset seeing an innocent creature succumb to mans destruction like much of nature.
I quite literally open this video up by stating it was a part of my childhood and part of the foundation of my love for Godzilla. I also say at 28:13 that it’s an underrated Hollywood blockbuster. Did you even watch the video???
@@FirewoodMediaTV i commented this when you said this movie was trash and etc I did watch it till end but I typed this comment when the video started I think?
Ok man I didn't say this in the comments of your older GXK review but I'm juz gonna say it THE TRUTH Manda and Kumonga and other smaller Toho monsters are great in terms of The way there puppets were designed as art but in terms of the design process There not worth paying money for. Manda I'm sorry, but they are so generic and I think Legendary put way more work into Designing Tiamat and Sylla than those lesser known monsters. Manda and Kumonga are not worth the money because at the end of the day They are some of the most bare basic monster designs and to me Legendary's monsters( Tiamat and Scylla) are objectively better monsters because of the hard work and thought process that they put into make those designs, as someone who Loves designing Kaiju's and am a big fan of Creature design, I can say with confidence, Manda and Kumonga aren't worth that money, I would rather have someone who actually is an iconic monster Like Gigan or Biollante, I feel like not alot of work was done to particularly design those 2 characters (Manda and Kumonga). If Legendary gets the rights for a classic monster that's when you'll know how creative and unique they are. It's kinda not constructive criticism, wanting or expecting older lesser known generic Toho Monsters That were never going to be in an American Monster film to begin with thats not fair. The Monsterverse has such unique Monsters and personally, I'm way more hyped when I see them over a lesser known Kaiju because they have so much more potential, that deserve more. Idc what anyone says Behemoth is awesome. I agree with all your other points but yeah I just think Blind nostalgia is hurting this fanbase a little. But again the way the technical aspects of the practical effects are, are incredible and I will always have respect for that but the way some of the characters are. it just can't come back those concepts don't age well at all just because of How many Asian mythological like Dragons there are in film. Tiamat imo is the most Unique Asian Dragon in years... it just shows objectively but I also feel Toho's Manda also has potential. So I feel Toho can definately make the character better and more like Tiamat making the character worth more, but right now as it stands, I completely understand why Legendary wouldn't get the rights to monsters like that and I feel even G team is kinda in a rough spot due to all The Monsters in that show being Toho monsters, Like that's insane! It's for sure gonna take alot for that show to happen! The difference here is most of those Monsters are actually cool even if I feel Kumonga should be Scylla, If the show does happen, I do not expect every one of those Kaiju to be in it, There going to have to throw in alot of new Monsters If they like it or not.
I would like to address the certain statement from a few years ago that Godzilla doesn't work in America, and we can say. Without a shadow of a doubt, and this take was so wrong it's painful and the success of the still ongoing monsterverse proves this. No matter how much the heisei glazers or the hard-core Japanese film fans say that "it's bad" or "it's goofy" (which it's not). If it were not for the monsterverse. Godzilla would not have returned. The 2014 movie single handedly brought godzilla back after years of absence after final wars, so they should be grateful this movie was made and stop complaining about how "only the Japanese movies are good" because that's just not true.
I'm glad i'm not the only one who loves Godzilla (2014)
2014 is the one I will always love forever, MY true American Godzilla.

LMAO I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT THAT
@@FirewoodMediaTV omg thanks responding you are a huge inspiration to me sorry my English isn’t that good
You’re right it does have a first good act that really makes it feel like the film is set the world Godzilla, then the last act happens…
KOTM is the best for me. Not only being my favorite of the American movies, but my favorite movie ever made.
WISCONSIN METIONED RAAHHHHHH 🦅🐄🧀🦅
Also I think you missed out something on the 98 film, the sub fight scene was badass
G14 is the best the monsterverse currently has to offer.
Godzilla, King of the Monsters! (1956), Godzilla 1985: The Legend is Reborn, and Godzilla 2000 (US) all technically count as American Godzilla movies as well.
Yeah but they are just English dubs, they don’t count as their own American Godzilla films.
People act like the 1998 Godzilla movie is the worst movie to exist in the Godzilla franchise and yet they end up defending Son of Godzilla when someone says that movie is boring. For all its flaws, I'd rather watch the 98 movie than watch that boring snoozefest with minya in it.

1998 is one of my favorite versions of Godzilla, and don't get me started on the version from Godzilla The Series 🔥🔥🔥
Godzilla vs Kong is my top monsterverse film since it made up for the original being an atrocity and having kong win
If the human plot was completely revamped and there were more daytime scenes, KOTM would undeniably be the greatest American Godzilla film ever.
G kotm , Godzilla 1998, and GxK are my fave Godzilla films from America.

Zilla for the monsterverse 🗣️

I believe the reason is that its still hard to see the monster fights, and human stuff isn’t good

NO. I WON’T LET IT GO! IF I’M STILL HERE AT IN 2048 I’LL STILL COMPLAIN!
Good Beast From 20,000 Fathoms remake though. 😂

Godzilla 1998 is the best American Godzilla movie
hey dont say that godzilla 1998 was a bad movie it wasn't, I was born with it. it is my childhood, bc of it I became a kaiju/godzilla fan.
That’s great! But it’s objectively awful.
I honestly don’t think it’s BAD, i think it’s just meh
It is a good monster movie. And even, a good Godzilla movie. He follows most of the criteria that Godzilla follows when it comes to being in a movie.
