    You can also change the monitor refresh rate to 60hz for power savings. Change this in Lenovo Vantage under power settings called dynamic refresh rate. It really squeezes out more battery life if you are just using it at cafe for work etc.

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  6 месяцев назад

      Yea once you unplug the power adapter, it automatically drops down to 60 hz every time. I can definitely have semi-decent battery life with it unplugged if I dropped the screen brightness too, but I left it on max all the time because the display was so vibrant with it set that way.

    Nice review, man. I ordered the maxed out version of this beast some days ago. i9 14900hx paired with the RTX4090 and 64gb ram.
    Though this was very expensive but here in the UK 🇬🇧 lenovo has a 15% discount going on right now, so i paid £3,506 + £200 3Y premium warranty and accidental damage, which to me was a cheaper option compared to Asus ROG strix scar 16 or 18 2024 model or the Blade 16 or 18 which was around £4,000+ respectively.
    However, I'm still waiting for this beast to arrive. The nights 🌙 are becoming much longer for me 😅.

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  2 месяца назад +1

      Wow congrats! I'm officially jelly lol. That configuration will last you many years. Good score with the 15% off too. I'm so glad I got this too over the Razer Blade because I was initially eying that and the Alienware 18" model, but the Razer is too much for what it is imo and I remember reading complaints of battery bulging with Razers, but with the Legion, zero regrets so far. You're going to love yours!

    • @godiananyanwu5894
      @godiananyanwu5894 2 месяца назад

      @DemCrumblies Thank you, man. I initially considered Razor Blade 16 2024. However, it's an overpriced laptop. £3,600 for the Rtx 4080 version and £4,200 for the Rtx 4090. Both with 32gb ram. Then again, hearing all the fuss about razor Oled burning and da da da. I decided the 9i was better value given what it offers for the price.
      The only thing I thought so hard about before making the purchase of the 9i was the trackpad. From what I've seen, it's a small trackpad. But I believe I'll get used to it. I'm getting the legion M600s IQ gaming mouse because of this. Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase. I hope it serves me well years to come.

      @@godiananyanwu5894 Yea once you experience OLED displays, it really does spoil you, however the 9i's display is stellar that I don't feel like I'm missing out not having an OLED display. On the upside, there's also no worries about burn-in. Yea the Razer laptops are definitely overpriced, maybe the chassis is higher-end on them, but I care more about what's inside since I'm pretty careful with my gear.
      Yea if you're caught out without a mouse, the trackpad is a bit on the smaller side by today's standards, but actually older laptops had a similarly sized trackpads, it's just that this trackpad is pushed down way more. Btw, if you used my link to order, thanks very much 😁

    I saw on some older reviews of this, not that this unit is that old by any means, that the display would dim down for no reason, is this true or did you experience this with brightness up high?

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  3 месяца назад

      Hey @tommybahamax, it would only dim down for me when I unplugged it from the wall because the battery mode would kick in, but while plugged in, it was always bright. There have also been some updates for this laptop since I reviewed it, so if there were any kinks, I'm sure they're all ironed out by now.

    Hello thanks for the review, Is there a huge difference between legion 9i and legion 7i ? If we assume both have the same configurations or close enough , because I’m confused which one I should get , legion 9i design is amazing , but In the same time I don’t think I’ll be downloading that much of games if so maybe 3 - 5 games max like gacha games such as Genshin impact - honkai star rail - weathering waves etc… I have always wanted a laptop that can run games and it’s reliable for personal/work use.
    Is it really worth it to spend the extra money for legion 9i ? Thanks 🙏🏻

    Kind of late to this but with the high res display did you notice having to moderate some of your graphics selections in some of the more demanding titles? I know with a 4090(mobile) you’re pretty much covered but for games like cyberpunk with all the ray tracing/path tracing etc I’m wondering where to set my target in terms of fidelity since native res. and maxed settings is a lot to ask of any gpu.

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  17 дней назад +1

      Hey @athanasiosklaras4355, my laptop only came with the 4080 but I didn't limit any display settings while gaming. However, I didn't play any really demanding games, only Warzone, Fortnite and Apex. You could use the game's auto-detect settings to see which settings it wants to apply based on your system specs, play it like that, then start tweaking settings one by one until you get it dialed in how you want.

    How difficult was it to get used to the layout of the keyboard and touchpad, because they are shifted down because of the location of the vents?

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  6 месяцев назад +1

      The keyboard layout didn't feel off to me actually, but I did sometimes touch the touchpad with my palms, so I just disabled it because I always use a mouse with my laptops.

      @@DemCrumblies Yeah that makes sense - I do use my laptop's touchpad and keyboard a lot. It sounds like a poor fit for my use case then.
      Another issue is that the touchpad is a lot "thinner" due to the keyboard being shifted down.

    • @DemCrumblies
      @DemCrumblies  6 месяцев назад +1
