Only just found your channel other day been binge watching, love the stories of prison life ( not been in myself ) but my best friend growing up through the 90's early 2000's was in and out his whole life. You'd maybe know him. On this Lennon and his family didnt deserve to be threatened in this way and the bigotry and hatred is a stain on Scotland imo
Interesting video make! I was born a catholic in a area that was mainly irish/catholic descent but I was never religious or interested in the history of Ireland. In 1975 when I joined the Army I only told a few close mates as Republican nutjobs and their pro IRA supporters were making themselves known. So after my 1st tour of duty in a well known ira area of Belfast in 1978 I (naively) thought I'd go visit some old mates, just as they were telling me I should keep a eye out for certain people the certain people marched into the pub and told me I was a traitor and a marked man and no longer welcome in the area. The main mouthpiece then tried to claim he had the authority of PIRA to say so. F**kin bedlam broke out and the only marked men were the provisional posse that night. I left Glasgow the next day and have never been back since, lived in southern England since leaving the forces. A quick Rangers story for ya, I was a total football anorak as a kid, would read every football book magazine I came across so when Rangers played against famous European teams I'd go watch them. I went to all the games at Ibrox during their 1972 European Cup Winners Cup success. Seeing the likes of Johann Cruyff their with Ajax was magic but the night they beat Franz Beckenbauer's Bayern Munich in the semi final was a night I'll never forget. Pure f**kin magic mate, I'm sure nobody cared their was a 12yr old "fenian" in their midst😂 helped I wasnt a ginger lol. Great times!! Y'know I always considered myself British and my country's enemies were my enemies. Shame half the street I grew up in didn't share my views... F**k em!! Lol..my missus is back from work and read this b4 I post this so should be readable. Respect 👍
I’m a Celtic fan obviously and for 90 mins you can shout and swear etc etc but after it that’s it , none of this sending bombs etc. no matter what you think of Neil to do that was crazy and could of harmed anyone during the process of postage etc . I went to a catholic secondary school and had at least 10 Protestants and rangers fans in my year . I believe in a united ireland if that’s what ppl vote for , I’m sure I have very different ideas than a lot of rangers fans but for the love of god I don’t want to kill them. I like how you spoke about it and like that your turning your life around and you inspire me and others I’m sure and I don’t care who you support, I wish you the best as you truly deserve it
Just subscribed after watching you on behind the bars channel...im like you,brung up a gers fan but no all the other bitter stuff that goes with it,half my mates are celtic fans, i went to school with the other guy who got done alongside neil,he stayed next door to my cousin and we would walk to primary school together BUT he used to be a celtic fan,i remember seeing this on the news and when his name and pic came up im like ffs at school he was a celtic supporter lol,anyway good luck with the channel 👍
