- You should probably be scared to polish clear bra -- or paint protection film, as it's more accurately called. It's like jelly, almost, in that you can apply regular polishing techniques but get the weirdest possible results. So, naturally, I got the one and only Yvan Lacroix to share his tips on what to do...and what NOT to do.

I only use Gyeon PPF RENEW for this and be very gentle as shown by Yvan. This should only be done to help clean the traffic film and anything similar that will not wash or clean off the outer surface.
Thank you living legend Yvan!

Great tips on maintenance!
Hawk detailing your the man. Keep it going homeslice
Thanks my dude 🙏🏽 🙌🏼
Bro your channel is how I’m progressing my company so fast. The way you explain things makes understanding how to do something easy. If you have not already you are missing out on a cash cow that is how to videos. You could easily make a beginner/ advanced series on polishing and wet sanding.
thank you so much!
can you help me with this case, please?I ordered the material from ebay and noticed that on both ends of the roll the layer was not fully contacted with each, meaning the layer makes zig-zag circles on each.
Once he opened the first 3 meters of the item we found longitudinal lines in the width direction.
This is due to any roll after opening to cut some length, you can't obtain the same roll circulation at its original case and my car is a black color
Does this work for water spots?
What speed should I use in the polisher for PPF?
To polish ppf I need a water based compound?
Haha Kirkland towels … we are really testing Yvan’s limits. Fwiw i cut the stitching of the Kirks.. makes a decent Edgeless towel.
I heard they’re renamed- meguiars towels ?
@@PolishedMobileDetailing503 first ive heard that.
do you also install PPF?
Great job, looks great!
DidI I hear “Ice Cream”?!? 😁
Lol yes come by the shop 😂
Mmmmmm ice cream. Hmmm its just after dinner here. 😂😂😂
Excellent video - Most interesting and helpful.
May I ask exactly what particular polish was used to achieve this result ?
Many thanks.....all the way from London.
Rupes fine! Yellow band on label gives it away!
@@kevincampbell8298 Thank you for your fast reply.
I need a moustache like that 👍🏼
I know that the weather probably makes detailing really difficult, but do you ever just pause and check out those surroundings, the snow laden mountains surrounding the area?
Yes for sure I love it here 😍
what compound that ivan use in this video ?
I think it was Oberk.
Can you put ceramic coating over ppf?
Yep!
Can you direct me somewhere to a list of chemicals or solvents that I should avoid with PPF or vinyl? I’ve tried manufacturer’s websites, and all the do is push their own products without saying what to avoid
Do you have any specific questions particularly?
@@HawkProDetailing just trying to be proactive. Most every retail product i look at is loaded with solvents. How do I know which ones are ok and which ones to avoid?? No one will say. But I'm sure if I send in a warranty claim I'll hear "denied due to xxx being used"
Did know colors had smells , except for my buds hahaha
I hope this stopped in time those that wanted to go gung ho with a microfiber pad
Also he used a DA! Better with heat. Ivan is a rotary guy (he mentioned this during the rinseless video on the Subaru)
