OML Gil, I love your videos. Not only educational but makes me laugh my butt off. This video made my day😁👍
Great to hear Patty. 😛
Really great, Gil! The basket with the corks is a GREAT idea! 🙂👍
Thanks Your Highness. The main benefit is that it makes the fish far easier to remove after the spawning.
😂😂😂 loved the ending Gil!! I’m cracking up laughing, had to back the video up a bit & rewatch it again. 😅I love albino cherry barbs. A successful tank of fry!! 😊❤
Thanks Maureen, I'm glad you liked it.
I love those albino cherry barbs, they are beautiful. 😍
They sure are mate, especially in a planted tank.
Ok Austin powers settle down 😂.I just bought some barbs might give this a try.Great video mate
Oh behave! Thanks mate.
Hehehe love the commentations gil , the gland to gland tango 😂😂
Great video love it !!
Thanks mate. Just trying to not get myself cancelled.
@@Gilsfishroom hahah I recon you could be close if they have no sense of humour
If there’s one thing I’ve got plenty of it’s dead plants Gil lol thanks for the shout out👍👍 loved the euphemisms 😂😂
Thanks Mal. I'm keen to see how those Tetras go.
Think I’m going to loose one soon it looks deformed
I think he might have been caught in the crease of the bag during transport, and it back is crooked and swims like a guppy
Might need a few more to breed them
@@aquariumdelirium I had an endler fry bent like a boomerang after moving it in a bag. It eventually came good.
I wouldn’t care it looks the biggest but is swimming on the 45°
Dear Gil:
I find the easiest way to catch fish, is to remove the plants and hardscape, before using two fishnets. I corral the fish, with a small net, into a larger one. Chasing fish about plants and hardscape, with one net is very stressful, for it. Gently encouraging it, into a net isn’t too hard, on the specimen.
I really appreciate your work. I have been hoping to breed black neon tetra (Hyphessobrycon herbertaxelrodi); having previously bred Colombian tetra (Hyphessobrycon columbianus). But, having switched from gravel substrate, to coal slag, since then, I was ignorant, as to how to accomplish this. Now I know and may give it a go.
Thank you, for all you do, for the FishFam Community.
All my best,
Sincerely,
E. J. Brinegar
Thanks mate. Good luck breeding your Black neons.
Great video Gil and some great tips as well, the ending 😂
Thanks Paul. Not that you need any breeding tips with your magic water.
@@Gilsfishroom 😂😂😂
The albinos are stunning! I like alot of the albino varieties in fish notably the the Albino threadfin acara😍
The albino Threadfin is definitely on top of my list too Jeff.
Great idea! I'll use it on my tetras as I have a similar basket for drying dishes or something like that:)
Thanks Hus, the basket makes removing the adult fish after spawning much easier.
hey gil! you gave me some absolutely great ideas with these methods!!!😮hell i might even try some of them with me fish mate!🙂👍
Give it a crack Jeff, I look forward to watching a video of you trying it out.
@@Gilsfishroom i assume the fish portion?😂😂😂
@@pelhamsaquatics 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 You can try out any part you like. But yes, I think that I would only like to see the fish portion.
@@Gilsfishroom 😆👍👍
INSTANT like, love and subscribe. Thank you!
I'm glad you liked it mate. 😀
Mate I need to know did the inuendos come naturally, or was there some research on your behalf! Great video. Simple things, I love it.
No research, although I had to do some head scratching to think of some that wouldn't get me cancelled.
Awesome, you make it look easy, although, your starting to talk like a truckie with a full ballsack 😅 love your videos, always cheeky and full of knowledge. Thanks for sharing
I'm not going anywhere near that one mate! 😀
That was great! 😂
Thanks mate.
😅😅😅, onya M8, good vid...
Thanks mate. 😄
is that a slow moving plenum setup at the back with the really deep gravel?
It sure was. 5 inches of kitty litter with some flourite in the middle.
Yeah
Barbs 😂😂😂
So true... catching them is the bugger...
Great method
Smart thing about leaving the decaying plant matter..
Bahaha.. what happens at the end
I thought keeping them in a smaller tank would make catching them easier... It didn't.
First!
Congratulations mate! 🏆
Second! 😅
Silver medal goes to you Ras. 🏅
