Nice breeding setup, I breed my kubotai, galaxy and emerald rasboras in a simular way, only I take the eggs and put them in a shrimp tank, the furtile eggs will be left alone and will hatch then I let them grow up with the shrimp, overfeeding will not be an issue..
I usually do something similar. The only difference is that I use snails instead of shrimps. Cheers
This was so interesting, thank you! I saved it for the end of my day because I knew that it would be beautiful and interesting and relaxing, and it was everything that I hoped for❤
Thanks for watching Jen. I am glad you liked it.
Love the set up. Recently got a school of long fin cherry barbs. Kind of like a new spin on a classic. Would love to breed them so I’m definitely paying attention. Thanks 😊
Cherry barbs are relatively easy to breed. I tried the long fin variant last year (if I remember correctly) but something was wrong with the batch I got. Cherry barbs are so common but I like them a lot.
I'm kinda new to this preview thing. 😅
I am sitting here on a early monday evening, thinking "I wish it was tuesday". And then I remembered.
Re-watching now, because that's what I do when I get confused. 😂
👍
You will always find videos in the community post page 48 hours before they are usually published. Cheers Frank
lol. Same. I was a little confused
Yes I understand. As I mentioned to Frank just check the community post page 48 hours before videos will be published (Sunday and Wednesday).
That said, I love the "work in progress" videos. It gives me ideas for 2024.
I am debating getting a second-hand Juwel Rio 125 I saw at one of my local aquariumshops. I was sort of planning getting one for my fishroom at a later date and funds are a bit low at the moment, but it seems a too good a deal to pass up on. 🤔
More aquariums, more fish and more plants. 2024 will be a good year.
Set it up so that the eggs are drawn to the center with angled panels under the screen and use an air pump to draw the eggs to a separate container or to a partitioned side of the aquarium. DIY Mick You Tube channel has examples. I am getting ready to experiment with my own similiar setup
I have seen similar setups on RUclips. Thanks for the suggestion.

👍
Thank you for sharing and happy holidays.
Happy holidays as well. Cheers
The laboratory is the perfect name for the breeding room!
Actually you gave me an idea for the thumbnail. If I remember correctly you mentioned that word a couple of videos ago. First it was written "station" but that sounded boring so I changed it to "laboratory".
@@IMaqua It's how clean everything is! ☺It looks like a proper science lab everything has it's place and my OCD can rest easy. I watch some aquarist channels and it's total chaos! 🤣 I don't know how they don't trip over cords all day!
Some of the breeding aquariums and fry grow out tanks are kept "dirty" on purpose but I fully agree about the cables. I can't stand seeing cables and they need to be hidden (if possible).
Love your video brother! Very clean way to breed your fish. Can’t wait to see your future videos!
Thanks for watching.
I dont think the filters function optimal when places horizontal, hardly any water will be bushed through the pipe, I would rotate them to a vertical position
If I place them in a vertical position the filter will be out of water.
@@IMaqua You can cut the clear pipe to reduce height, and you can rotate the sponge to stick out into the aquarium, I have done it on similar small tanks. You want the small bubbles to push the water and cause suction behind it, it doesn't work when you have a "path" of air along the top of the tube (at 6 minutes 44 seconds), the water just stand still and does not flow through the sponge. PS I just found your channel, and it is great content you make.
Actually the water flows but I reduced the flow to minimum because of the water splashing. I understand what you are saying. Anyway these tanks will not be heavily stocked. I will use them for a breeding pair or a trio that I remove the next day and leave eggs to hatch. To be honest I was thinking about doing it without a filter.
