      24k Gold White Clouds since it's starting to chill up a bit outside? Is temp not a concern? A dwarf cichlid, like the Apisto Agassizii, would be profitable in my neck of the woods.

      @LRBaquatics  7 лет назад +1

      Temp isnt a problem since there is heaters in them.

    I do not know if I got evil ember tetras or what but--even with a breeding basket and mesh bottom--the males release their milt upside down--so the can eat the eggs the second she releases them. I THINK I have the foiled now with this new setup i just finished. I just found eggs that weren't eaten.

    wish I could do outdoor ponds but where I am from , the weather here would probably roast them lol

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  7 лет назад

      How hot does it get? If you can get some shaded spots to put them under the ambient light will grow plants.

    • @AquaticHaus
      @AquaticHaus 7 лет назад

      well the weather here is about 36-38 so if there's a pond outside probably the water is going to be very warm as well .. I'm guessing 32 and above lol

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  7 лет назад

      As long as the sun wasnt hitting it and you had good circulation would stay cooler. Lots of types of tropical fish are used to that kind of water.

    any problem with egg getting fungus?

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  7 лет назад

      I have never had issues, since they are all planted and natural and have lots of microorganisms.

  • @grinshrimp8205

    Can i breed rummy nose tetras on that?

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  4 года назад

      Probably not but dont know until you try. Tetras tend to need to drop the eggs then spawn on them. So often the eggs may get dropped but not fertilized.

    Clever!!! Does all that Val overwinter?? I have val in mine and wondering now with winter coming to chicago

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  7 лет назад +1

      The ponds are heated all year round. I have 500 watt heaters in each small tub and 4 500w in the big one with 2 more I can plug in on the sump if it gets in the negatives. It is insulated as well, so the val grows all year round.

    So Lucas,
    What do Rainbow fish need at a minimum?

    • @LRBaquatics
      @LRBaquatics  7 лет назад

      20 H would be the best min. tank size.
