    P2atc really does bring the immersion to another level. Sky4simNG also brings the ability to bring the Grammer doc into VR, it also has a notification window where all verbal interaction is in a text window, which helps on long readbacks and frequency swaps. I do agree that it is also great with vfr free flight...Good video..

    • @sprocketsimulations
      @sprocketsimulations  Год назад +5

      @Ttt Ggfc with the key binds “B” and “D” you can have the sim automatically set your altimeters barometric pressure, and your hsi/cdi gyroscopic precession. In reality you need to turn the knob on the altimeter to set to either known field elevation or metar data/atis. Analog gauges use a gyro to display your heading, pitch, angle and other items. Every 15 minutes or so you would need to realign the compass on the gauge to match the “whiskey”/magnetic compass to be accurate.

    15:15 I don't think it's good at all that the picture moves while the airplane is flying, as if the wind is pushing the plane! This is disturbing because in the real world we are moving in the airplane, in sync with its movement! However, sitting in a chair at home, wee not moving! We are only trying to follow the random movement with our eyes, but our body is not shaking in sync with the movement! It is which tires the eyes unnecessarily! I would not install it under any circumstances! In fact, what is installed in the game, I even disable it!

I may keep my 6750 GPU or I might go to the 6800 or the 6950 I haven't decided yet on that one. So thank you for the info everybody keeps telling me to go with the X3 to eat and I'm thinking that might be the route I'll go with it cuz I really want my flight soon just to be smoother and flying and just really help with the overall image I know I definitely need to upgrade my monitor as well because that is way behind on the times. I think your plan is solid, get a x3d and new monitor and you’ll be fine until you are ready to make the jump to am5. Personally I’ll wait for prices to come down and don’t even see the price to performance gains being worth it right now. I generally run all previous gen hardware to keep cost down and also for the companies to iron out any issues.

      @@eldroopio What graphics card do you have? I just leave mine on DX11 and the Ultra preset. I think the biggest thing to do is not chase FPS and cap your FPS in your settings. The key is consistency. 30 FPS steady will feel much better than having 80-90 FPS while cruising and then having it dip to 30 on approach. Also, this will keep your temps lower so when the card/processor needs to work harder it is not already up against the limit and has some headroom.
      The other part I recommend is to not use DLSS or RSR as these will essentially make your resolution less to increase FPS. You will also get bad ghosting when your FPS drops.
      I can safely lock my fps around 60 for most areas, southern CA is harsh though and it will stutter if I leave it capped at 60. So I reduce it to 50 and that works out well.

    The realism craze has already let the military simulations go and great simulations like Falcon 3 and many other military simulations have been swept off the market and DCS and Co. are just languishing. Realism as a criterion is not a criterion. More beautiful landscapes and solid flight characteristics of airplanes are desirable. But all this realism babble is utter nonsense. It is and remains a game, it is remarkable what is possible on a small PC and it has boosted hardware development and provided sales figures that office computers alone would never have. We should not forget this point. So enough with the realism drivel and appreciate what it is, the coolest game ever. I've been with FS 4 since 1990 and am amazed by every new version. But don't stand out too much.

    • @sprocketsimulations
      @sprocketsimulations  Год назад +3

      I too have been flying since FS4 and even remember getting the actual paper charts in the box.
      While this is in no way as realistic as either a real aircraft or even a study level simulator at a training school. I would say that it is definitely not just a game. There are many transferable lessons and techniques used in MSFS that are useful in real life. So it isn’t just babble to say “realism”.
      This video is how to had some additional realism to the sim. Such as practicing atc and learning phraseology, using real charts for flight planning and understanding airspace. Having a head tracker or VR also allows you to get more familiar with the layout of the real world cockpit as well as increase immersion. Some flight models are better than others and there is never going to be a replacement for the feeling of a real aircraft and how it moves as well as the feedback on the controls.
      Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I think it is utter nonsense to call it just a game.

      If I you are looking for budget study level you are pretty much limited to the Black Square addons to the existing asobo aircraft. They are great, except the exterior is the same model, and you can not have interactive things such as doors and static elements.
      Otherwise I would recommend the Cessna 414 from FlySimWare and is one of my favorite. It lacks the failures systems of Black Square but does have some of you treat it badly.
