In this video we will take a first look and first flight going over the Gyro Pilot and also how to use the radio navigation system. Flying from LFPB Le Bourget to LFOR Chartres. Some quick views of the new Paris City Update (Also FREE!) flying past the Eifel Tower and Paris. ENJOY!
Yes, me too, the wheels don't seem to turn in flight, at least the left one. It would be cool if it did turn from flight ✈️ I never tried to start the plane, so it was a very useful video. Nice flying, Cheers, Slan
Thanks. Perhaps using someof the "1935" airports and landing on grass may have increased the immersion. I did note the tailwheel spinning before it contacted the runways. Perhaps it was just the airstream. Or it may be a minor bug. I will need to set up a profile for my Bravo to handle 3 engines. I also have the Fokker VII so that will be useful there as well.
Yes, it would have been a much more era appropriate flight to use a grass strip. The tail wheel spinning might be from my replay tool as it does weird things sometimes. But it also might be a bug. Enjoy!
Hi, great video, thanks! Very nice description of the Gyroscope operation, which is not quite intuitive. One comment about the landing lights, you must turn them on right before take off, and turn them off once airborne, otherwise they draw a lot of current and will discharge the battery fast - generator is not powerful enough to support the drain-Another comment on the inertial starters (floor), after pushing one down, you must wait until it pops up before turning solenoid on. Time to pop up varies randomly between 10 and 15 seconds; if you turn the solenoid on before inertial pops up then start might fail.
Thanks! I also forgot to even turn on the generator until about 20 minutes in 😂
Really enjoyed that 👍
Relaxed and informative ..very clear and crisp video quality too 😀👍
Thanks!! And thanks for watching!
OK how are you accessing that model T truck loading the luggage because I can't figure out how to pull it up?
Two little switches on the center console near the pilots knees. One for the door and one for the truck.
IT HAS AN AMZINGLY SIMPLE AUTO PILOT WOW
It’s so cool to use. If you are interested look up how a speedy gyro pilot works. It is very clever.
Well done...love the Sperry nav system.
Much like the DC3.
Thanks! I love it too! Such a cool system. Very interesting on how it works.
Ford AA truck 1928 looking great
Sensacional.
Wonderful video! I did not know about the three panel options. I missed it perhaps. How do you enable the pickup, and open the main and baggage doors? I saw a full size Trimotor in a museum, and it was amazing peering inside of the airplane that, even before the iconic DC3, started civil aviation along with the Fokker, its Dutch cousin from Europe.
I have an Xbox, and I set up a pannable pax/cabin view accessible by a button combo from my controller that lets me switch between it and the flight deck view. I was able to set up custom wing views on all my default and add-on aircraft this way.
I enjoy the unique autopilot, quite nice on such an old and iconic aircraft.
Also, I've noted in modern panel mode, I can switch on the autopilot by keystroke and track a saved flightplan, and also lock in the rate of climb once trimmed until at my cruising altitude. Not realistic, but fun to enjoy as a passenger might on a cross country flight.
Great info thanks!! There are two switches on the center console. Left hand side down where the pilots knees would be. Those turn on/off the static elements.
@@sprocketsimulations Wow, you were not kidding when you said they were two small switches! Wonderful aircraft, wonderful gift to all of us from Aeroplane Heaven.
For free!
do we get to keep this plane after June 30???
Sure do!
This was a great video, thanks!
Thanks for watching!! Cheers!
Great video but I never did see the Eiffel Tower.
19:29 is and in cockpit view then followed by an external view.
@@sprocketsimulations Ahh there it is. I must have been doing something else when it appeared.
I don't think there's any trim, right?
There is. It is a spinning lever on the back wall in the center.
@@sprocketsimulations whoopsie....! Didn't check. Thanks for that, Sproc.
Man, I bet having them props swinging right by the pilot was more scary than fun
Well, thanks a lot for this great lesson on how starting up this wonderfull machine.
You're very welcome! I agree it is such a cool aircraft.
You forgot to turn on the generator😉
22:00😂 RIP
Priming control not closed🙈
Indeed RIP! Kind of a shame there wasn’t any reaction from the aircraft with those two errors.
The version, you SHOW, is the PAYED version.
The only trimotor version is free.
@@holding537 This week only. Then $15 USD
I definitely did not buy it. This is 💯 free right now. June 23rd-30th.
It was free for me.

@Spocket Simulation, This is NOT a good deal, EVEN for free. I installed it last night, and all I got, was the Trimotor model, with SKIS'S. Every livery with the model, with SKIS'S. How often do you fly a plane, with SKIS? Did not get the Trimotor, with regular landing gear (tires) The Marketplace, never gives, you any quality, when you get it for FREE.
I got four models. One regular, two with skis and one with floats.
I got all the models as well. Check your content manager as they might not have been installed. It is definitely for all versions. You can’t buy it right now so as you can see I have the conventional one.

@@sprocketsimulations Just deleted, last night's download, and RE-INSTALLED it, and it is STILL, all SKIS, liveries.
SO AWESOME...Had no idea and glad I came online to watch some parts of FlightSimExpo 2023 stream (messing with issues with audio getting this part working...no big deal) ....but seeing this was FREE, limited time! Totally jumped onto MSFS and grabbed it. Will fly it in a few minutes, but this made my morning.
Enjoy your flight and thanks for watching!
How did you find her?
