- Defeating the Minerva Superboss in Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion unlocks the Divine Rule Broken trophy / achievement.
You encounter Minerva in Mission 9-6-6: The Reigning Deity. You'll do this automatically on your way to 100% Mission completion. It's the hardest boss in the game, so will likely be the last mission you finish for 100%.

Once you have all equipment pieces it's an easy fight.
Equipped Materia:
Curaga HP +999%
Drainga HP +800%
Costly Punch SPR +95
Mug VIT +40
Moogle Power VIT +60
Dualcast
Equipped Accessories:
Genji Shield
Genji Armor
Genji Glove
Ziedrich
Once the fight starts, use Mug to steal 99 Phoenix Down from Minerva (used to self-revive). Activate the Phoenix Down from the item wheel by selecting with R2/RT and pressing Circle / B on it. You must refresh this when Minerva uses her Limit Break special attack because it removes the Phoenix Down from you. As long as you always refresh Phoenix Down you can't die. Attack Minerva with Costly Punch to deal 99,999 damage each hit and heal with Curaga (thanks to Dualcast Materia you will heal twice as much).
Minerva has 10 Million Health, so takes 101 Hits with Costly Punch to defeat.

@@abaeta You have to be extremely rich in gil and SP to make it work. It's not a viable option for people who don't grind to hell.
@@KoKoYoung you can enter on minerva battle, steal 99 phoenix down, leave, sell for 500K, repeat until you get a lot of gil and kill her with Gil Toss. You can also farm SP this way.

I used Aerial Drain instead of Costly Punch, so you can drain HP without having to heal. If you timed the Jump right you can avoid most of the attack include Ultima. The damage per Aerial Drain is about 70+K with Str 255 and with SP Turbo Attack Max Level (which spend sp to increase damage) the damage is 99999.

This is not a difficult fight at all, but it's an insanely test to the patience of the player. Any sign of being greedy or impatient, is a KO.

Did the same thing on PSP, but I used Magical Punch instead with no mp cost and max mp. Got REALLY good at dodging every single move
Im pretty sure sephiroths goal in Remake is to overthrow Minerva as god of the planet. Rather than drain the planet ,this time he seeks to become the core of it. Thats why he got clouds group to destroy the whsipers which is essentially a WEAPON that keeps everyone on Minervas script. The "destiny" she assigned. Thats why Aerith as a Cetra in uncomforatble with Sephiroth and as afraid of the "endless freedom" without the whispers. As she is no longer part of Minervas plan and now has to decide her own fate. In the old timeline...she always was meant to die to activate the white materia. She even told Cloud not to fall for her if i recall.
That’s a good theory, but the thing is how is sephiroth know about Minerva in the first place? Does he know about his real mother? That hijo is his father? Or is he aware of deepground?
Really shows the design philosophy of SE to early 10's. Not only is the ultimate attack you have that completely overshadows all other options available expected, it is straight up the only way you have a chance to win. Say what you will about Remake, all it asks is to learn the fight and get good.
gil toss can be even stronger dealing 99999 x 5 depending how much money you have, and stealing the phoenix downs from minerva you can make a LOT of money.
@@dracostreex1 They patched Minerva Farming from the PSP days. If you want to keep the Stolen Items, you have to complete the encounter- we can't just die anymore.

Well, gill toss is a really good way to beat the boss. Also i found that the new battle stance helps me a lot when she casts her attacks on me as it is basically free endure. Helps to either ignore her magic, or evade the second part of the flash cutter which kills you without barrier or guard
A mix of buster stance with high jump and aerial drain steadily drained her hp, I've never used costly punch against her even in the original as it felt too cheap, but the jumps may actually be even more op, same damage output while dodging attacks
My setup up is constly punch, mug, aerial drain, gill toss, sp turbo and sp turbo atack, you can easily break the shield with gill toss and recover HP with aerial drain ^-^
I never got to this boss when I played the old game when I was 14. But I don't feel like spamming costly punch.

In this game if you use one you get Autofenix
When you use a Phoenix Down a feather appears above your head - when you get downed, the Phoenix down automatically brings you back up. Rinse and repeat

and although i have the genjin shield her elemental attacks are not considered elemental for some reason.
If you have all stats at 255 the fight its very manageable even any magic attack doesn't do that much damage only skill that can kill you is the physical one.
Any tips for getting all stats to 255?
@@TrippleBPlays Doesn’t matter. Just be sure to mug her for 80 Phoenix downs at the start and then stay under that effect all battle.
I beat her on my second try and I was just fighting her regularly. I was just using battle stance, high jump and assault twister. I couldn’t make no mistakes she one shot me with every move. So I just put on Phoenix down just in case I get hit. And use elixir whenever I need it

How did you level all the OMD, i'm stuck with three character at 90% and they wont move, either with good star and OMD level Divine.
Equip an item that has auto regen. Turn on mission 1-1-1. Turn off power save settings, so it doesn't shut down your Ps5. Piss off and do something for a few hours
Maxed HP, Maxed SPR and VIT and her Judgment Arrow kills me in one hit but doesn’t him.

Can someone explain to me how I have High Jump Atk+100, Genji Glove and Attack Status is maxed at 255...yet whenever I use it I start with like 55,000 damage which then drops to 30,000 each time?
If I had 99,999 damage on high jump it would be piss. I've seen others do it - am I missing something?

Phoenix Down
Lvl up vitality and hp. Helps a lot
Electrocute with high magic will delete the charge bar in a couple casts, same for 6-6-6 while fat chocobo feather farming
Phoenix down is the only way I found
You can be super strong, get the lobby entrance shinra potion (free reraise), or you can Phoenix down. It's a one-shot unless you get to 0%, reraise is much easier to obtain

maybe they made minerva easier.... or it's probably this video is on the normal difficult. on hard back on the psp minerva was more in action
this is normal, hard has 10x the hp and is kinda dumb. Would take around 2+ hours to beat her just with her health pool.

Flash slash only removes the phoenix effective on hard mode

How did you find enough items do get the materia buffs in this video? I have nowhere near enough
thats just a waste of time, i managed this boss fight in HARD MODE with this build: Buster sword proficency: 50% or better Materias: Sp master - Master, Aero-Drain ATK+100, GilThrower HP +500%, Curaga HP+999%, Another 2 materias with STR +100 and +100 SPR, Accs: Genji gloves, genji helmet, ziedrich, adaman bangle. Now to the important thing: You need 42M points of SP, that can easily farmed on mission 9-5-3, and 20Million gil (farmed easily with mug materia and some jewel ring that i can not remember it's name at the moment but duplicates the item robbed or dropped just go ahead with the tonberry boss on 9-6-2, but if you want to pass this thing, you can get a lot of gil farming sp too, just equip that accesory and the yellow balls throw rings that worth 10k of gil every time you kill them), now with the 42M of sp (it will tank entery the damage taken by minerva except her ultimate attack, try to dodge oftenly with your Aero-Drain skill) Now every time you attack with your aero-drain command skill just try to be sure to do that on "attack mode (Square and X)" that hit will do 99,999 damage, and it will cure you on the same amount, when you see the opportunity activate the attack mode and throw gil, it will do 99.999 damage per coin!. but the only reason we brought gil thrower on this fight is because i will cancell completely the ultimate attack of minerva, so after all the HP punch is just a BDSM way to achieve the thropy. Remember activate attack mode to defend yourself when you failed to dodge her attacks, the amount of sp taken it will be incredible low, its easy to know that this video is fighting minerva on normal, because every hit on hard mode do like 70-80k damage, and her HP is lowering so fast, minerva on hard mode have 77Million of hp points and minerva on normal have only 10million, and her skill flash slash it will remove all your buffs (barrier, phoenix downs, etc.) and if you take enterely this skill without defending yourself activating the "attack mode" it's insta loss because phoenix down does not work

I don't understand. You just sit there and get hit by Flash Slash, but if I do it, I lose my reraise and have to reapply Phoenix down. Why is it not erasing reraise? Is this a game mod or hack or something I'm missing?
Flash only removes rearise on hard mode, hes playing on normal thats why it only has 10 million hp, on hard mode Minerva has 77 million and it takes way longer

While this is doable on normal mode I honestly don't even know if its possible on hard mode in reunion. They increased the hard mode hap from 20 mil to 77mil also her sword attack now removes your phoenix down and instant kills you
yeah and I forgot to turn the difficulty down to normal. Only realised it after my 10th try.
Most of her attacks are easy to dodge with jump materias. I used aerial drain to heal to full after spamming costly p. Its just a slog
it's doable, but you cant be greedy. You only get to hit her once and then wait what her next move will be. Flash Slash always needs to be avoided, and Judgement Arrow needs to be at least 75% to be survivable. It's basically a battle of attrition, on how long you can maintain and not get hit for an hour or two. It can be fun, but it can also be frustrating with minimal gear. Much easier with Gil Toss and SP Master but the grinding is the harder part. What I did was beat her in normal to just get the Phoenix Downs then for my personal completion I fought her again on hard, which makes it a bit more tolerable.
Is there a difference in difficulty between normal and hard mode when doing missions? I assumed missions weren't affected by difficulty? If so, I just did 80% of my missions on hard mode lol
@@angellara6109 they are affected. the payout is the same, but on hard the monsters are, well, harder.
By beating minerva you also get the email trophy

Judgement arrow kills me even when I have phoenix on. Why is that?
Because the arrow takes off the raise status and you don't have enough health to survive the attack. You need to get the attack down to at least 75% and have full 99,999 health when she attacks.

Just beat her, she wasn't as tough as I thought, but also went in with 255 in every stat but luck and 99k HP. It's easier than I expected as long as you've got enough X potions to stay capped off.
How to unlock M9: Cave full of miracles missions... You can unlock these missions very soon in the game. Once you reach Chapter Three and complete Mission 8-4-6, you will be able to complete Mission 9-1-1.... i dont works.... i won this and dont get 9-1-1 ... is bug or i must end all M8 Missions?

Be sure to have VIT and SPR to 255, she oneshots you with every move otherwise

How do you survive Minerva's Judgement Arrow? It one shot me
I had to get it down to like 50% when she was using Judgement Arrow and then spam X potion. If it's at 50% and you're at full HP, you should be fine, but it will still eat your reborn status.

technically genesis saw her face, after the last boss fight. genesis saw some figure, believing to be the goddess from the poetry. before the lifestream send him back, healing his degradation.
only the player know this, and yet much of Minerva is shroud in mystery. everyone connect this due to the armor being the same. many assume minerva is a summon, due to the background lore of the quest. as the minerva boss fight takes place deep in the northern cavern, and the energy is similar to the summons of FF7. yet nothing is confirm or denied.

OG Minerva was harder and time consuming to beat unless you exploit Gil Toss. Even this guy didn't to dodge and guard every single of Minerva moves at all.
Hr didn't have to guard them. He had an item with auto guard.
@@chrisallen9296 you mean ability from genji shield? If yes then it only applies both barrier and mbarrier, not literally guarding the attack itself. In PSP version, you to guard some of Minerva attack like Ultima, Krysta, and Crimson Flare to mitigate damage or else you get one-shot'ed. Thor's Hammer cannot be blocked so evading it is a must, otherwise one-shot is coming to your run. Unless you equip SP master, there's no way to keep attacking without going into defense. So yeah, seeing new Minerva seems like there is a power creep or she just gets nerfed heavily.
@@Bagus-101 I did the fight dude. I have the platinum. I dunno which item it was from but all damage I took was reduced and I didn't once hit the guard button. Look at his screen, it say he has auto guard. Maybe she was nerfed, I'm fine with that.
@@chrisallen9296 yes, that ability was from genji shield which gives auto wall, null status, and absorb element. Auto wall reduce both phys and mag damage, however you can still guard and reduce damage even more. The wording of "auto guard" may give wrong impression that you can automatically guard but in reality it does not.

@@Mrpsychological finally beat her on hard, it took me 1 hour+ lmao, her flash slash remove buff on hard so phoenix down cant be abused (the reraise buff will be removed then you died normally since its a multi hit)

it's a chance if you don't have a certain accessory, you just have to try and try until you steal...

I don't know if my game is bugged but I insta die when she's using her special ability, no chance to use a phoenix down or is she killing the down while loading?
Her special removes non-equipment giving buffs, meaning your phoenix down buff is removed.

On hard mode when she uses Judgement Arrow, you have to get it down to 75% or else it will always hit you for 99,999 and remove your raise buff. Using the costly punch method means you have to find a balance between hitting her when she is charging the ability but also healing so you have more than 75,000 HP. Still working on it myself lol

Materia: Subvitaga, Verzweiflungsschlag, Vitaga, Rauben, Hades Magie, Mogry Hokuspokus (wurde vielleicht umbenannt hat aber was mit Mogry zu tun)
Accessoires: Genji Schild, Genji Rüstung, Genji Handschuhe, Ziedrich (heißt auch anders fängt aber auch mit Z an)
