First half was solid but I didn’t understand why they made Mae part of a huge settlement of intelligent humans. To me, if humans are still working on satellite arrays and apes are living in huts, humans would STILL be in the dominant position in this world. The apes wouldn’t stand a chance. Maybe some humans could still be intelligent, but they should not possess the intelligence and aptitude for technology displayed by Mae and the rest of the humans at the end of the film.
I agree, it was a very strange turn and so I'm intrigued to see if they're evolved or might be part of the original twist of a time jump in some strange way 🧐 I found it hard to like her

Cesar as a religious figure is super intriguing
It's Caesar. And don't forget that he was raised by humans since he was a infant.
Makes you wonder how we all idolize Jesus in different ways…some see him as a positive influence to live life in harmony with others, while others justify their evil actions based on his teachings as well (mainly warping what he originally stood for), yet NO ONE truly knows who or what he really was like these apes knowing what Caesar truly did in his lifetime.
Just like the “telephone game,” every subsequent generation gets a more muddled version of historical events…
Very much like in the original movies.

He's not the prophet, he's the religious leader, like Jesus was supposedly, their religion is focused on him.

Proximus Caesar may will be the best Planet of the apes villain since Colonel McCullough, Koba and Steven Jacobs.

I just saw the film; movie was very good imo but also very safe. It works well as a 'start' for a new trilogy should they go that route.
Since Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes director Wes Ball has taken inspiration from Hayao Miyazaki’s Studio Ghibli film style for his upcoming Legend of Zelda movie , my hope Link x Princess Zelda’s relationship romantic but vastly understated where it comes out of the ' subtle hints' Nintendo has in recent games such as Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild.
Also, the movie itself needs to take the similar risky move the Super Mario Bros movie has done with Princess Peach: To cast aside her traditional a damsel in distress role to a strong woman portrayal (as seen in heroines in the Studio Ghibli films). and Being a companion to Link would fit the movie since she is very knowledgeable about the Kingdom of Hyrule and we all find them a wholesome couple/ a comfort ship.

I saw this movie on premiere day, and gotta say in my opinion it’s a solid 9/10. The characters, the story line, the little hints of comedy, the conflicts, the attention to detail, everything about this movie is amazing and beautiful!

This was super encouraging to hear! Im a huge fan of the 2011 trilogy so was nervous about the film in the beginning. Glad to see that is doesnt disappoint
Just saw this movie. Very good movie. This movie does a very good job giving us characters we care about. Saw it in IMAX, glad I did. Beautifully shot movie. The music draws you in. It is hard to believe this movie is CGI. It feels so real. Noa feels so real. Would most definitely watch this movie again.
This was extremely enjoyable. I’m wondering where this goes from the ending though.
Once i found out Disney made it I lost all hope
EDIT: Just left the theater. It was pretty good. 7.5/10. Perfect mix of action and a good story. And the ending brought it all together

Proximus Caesar actually says the same thing Koba said in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in the trailer where he says You chose humans over apes.

I did not see one banana in this movie. The female was fookn gorgeous though so it made up for no bananas. Way better then Fallguy movie.

This movie was no where near any of the first three, I dont get why everyone is saying this movie is just as good. It was ok, would I watch it again like any of the first three, I would say no. I dont think the characters are anywhere near as intriguing as the originals and the story line wasnt really that great. I wanted to see the apes learning more about Caesar and what they had lost. I was really hoping it was going to be just as good but to me, fell way short.
Really great movie. But it was literally the same plot as war for the planet of the apes.
I loved when one ape said shit and Noah repeated it I had a little giggle
And corporate Hollywood continues to circle the bowl.
I re-watched the first three before going to see this. What a let down. This movie was so long and boring. I walked out because I was falling asleep. Kingdom is definitely not worthy of the Caesar trilogy.
I went 2 c kingdom on the 10th of may really enjoyed it I'm a big fan seen on 4 now they all carry on from one another so I cant really place it

I pray to the goddeses that they didn't screw up the franchise's lore/mythology, find the right casting choice, give Ganondorf some background to his character, craft a narrative driven story, and Link x Zelda's relationship being a wholesome and romantic relationship that is isn't a platonic like TP.
I wouldn't say that the franchise is '10 movies strong'. There were the ORIGINAL 5 movies. [In that particular continuity] Then the single Tim Burton movie. Again, that follows a 'different' continuity so it is by itself. And then the new 'reboot' franchise which now has four movies in it's franchise. It is a SEPARATE franchise not to be included with the others. So this new franchise is only 'FOUR movies strong'. Neither Burton's nor this new reboot follows the original continuity set in the first five-so they are separate franchises.
The reboot is connected to the original,how tf do you not get it at this point? 😂
