@@bogdanadrian5202 i think i get what you’re sayin now! But i still gotta make my point! What i meant is that just because a riff is “easy” doesnt mean is a total beginner riff! BTW i’m not a beginner
Beginner Riffs from Zakk Wylde, Michael Schenker, Billy Gibbons, David Gilmore, SRV, John5, Tom Morello. Thanks, did I say John Frusciante, Or Lindsey Buckingham, Mike Campbell(Tom Petty)👍🏼
Unless it's some kind of frequency (idk much about audio frequencies or anything), i have to tune down 1/4 step from E or D standard to be right in tune with the studio recordings.
I've looked into it before, different songs are at different pitches, eg Cowboys is at 437Hz, Vulgar is at 425Hz etc. But the internet being the internet, there's a million theories and "I heard from his tech" stories that contradict each other.
Brings me back to the 90s, used to play these tunes on guitar and record to cassette tape and crank it through amps so I could jam along on drums, Man it's mental how much tech has advanced since then,
Thanks for the video brother! I am also a bit bothered by the sound of the finger slide against the thicker strings. Always thought that was just the way it was but wasn't entirely sure and also found it a little annoying. Did you ever find a solution?
you don't know how to teach, don't teach anybody the rhythm idk why nobody else ever comments this on anyone's guitar lessons I see this constantly play it slower and actually teach us how to play it instead of just showing us where to put our fingers
I'm a simple guy, I see Pantera in the title i instantly like the video.
Cfh 4 life bro
EXACTLY 🤘🏻
Finally someone who plays the New Level riff right like Dime did!!!!
I read that Dime actually played it wrong all the time
@@dogzzen1520 idk about that every live version of it I see Dime playing it the same way shown here or at least a very similar variation
Dogzzen its his riff so he plays it however the F he wants
@@dogzzen1520 how does the creator of the song play it wrong
Thank you ,I am beginner and Pantera is my favourite with testament.
Oh, I didn't know Pantera had easy riffs \o/ That's nice!!
all of their riffs are easy except fucking hostile and rise but Dime's solos are hella hard, i can only play Cowboys From Hell's solo
@@bogdanadrian5202 Yeah they're really fun to play too!
@@bogdanadrian5202 that’s not true! They have a lot of other hard riffs
@@rafaelgomez2619 you sound like a complete beginner, of course they have hard riffs but they're easy

I just watched his induction and cried so I thought I'd get a better video
Robert, you always have great tone. Proves it's all in the hands.
Add a little bit of gain 😂
🤣
Lovin' it. A bit squawky for Dimebag though. Hollow is one of the greatest ever.
Hey, Robert, i was wondering if you could make a video about licks to start the solo with or some ideas for starting the solo.
Love watching you Robert 🤘🏻 keep the awesome vids up my guy
Thanks homie
Note to everyone, Dimebag tuned his guitar down to 425Hz in E standard. Not normal E standard
use a little string ease (silicone spray) for the squeaking.
You rule man, thank you so much!

Yep they used to tune to in between notes for some songs to get weird harmonics going on.
Do some research on his tuning, I know he mostly tuned flat with it up 40 cents on the tuner.

Very cool. You have some serious skills. Thanks.
Love your channel dude.

Man it's mental how much tech has advanced since then,
I think the scratching when I palm mute sounds awesome
Dime is the best and you nailed it
Great video, thanks so much !
Thank you 🙏love from nepal❣️
A great video. Thanks!
Great tutorial for beginners !!!! So thank full
The riff after the intro on mouth for war is played a string down not the low E
To play with the records you gotta tune to like A:435hz or so
Thanks for the video brother! I am also a bit bothered by the sound of the finger slide against the thicker strings. Always thought that was just the way it was but wasn't entirely sure and also found it a little annoying. Did you ever find a solution?
Dude very useful and cool video this helped my practicing a ton \m/
Great vid!
Thanks for doing in standard tuning! I hate retuning all the time when trying to learn with a video.
stay low bro, all my guitars except for one are down tuned.
Great video, one small thing though. The first song is called "mouth for war" not mouth of war
Is the irig 2 any good
Sweet! Now I have no excuses when someone joins my live stream asking me to play some Pantera! I 🤘
Time stamp- 6:07
A new level is
012 0123 01234 6666
I learned it in dropped D with those same positions.
6 is thrice
or play the way rob did, cause that's how dimebag did
I learned by ear. What sounds right, is right. I'll learn it this way, too. Practice makes permanent. ;)
Shannon Sharp No dime is playing it on A 1 1 1 1
D 3 3 3 3
You are a guitar boss...how'd you not know that the excess noise can be canceled by a noise gate 😆. Jk, u da man🤘
Your tone is amazing
3 out of 5 of those songs are in Rocksmith
I think Dime hammers first riff of 5 minutes alone in drop d tuning. From 3 to 7 to open d
Old comment i know, but its D standard at 435hz.
Isn't im brkoken on drop d? Ah and it's tuned on 220 hz instead 440
i thought so too but all these internet teachers say no. if it isn't what was dime thinking? because it should be. lol
D standard 435hz. Not 100% sure on the hz, but its for sure D standard.
Great video. But you should have added a some gain gain
Hi Robert. Thank you for the video. Can you do one for Metallica as well?
80% of Pantera riffs are easy. But when it comes to solos... Goddamn theyre hard!
I agree I cant learn full songs because of the solo lol
Agree, but revolution is my name is not easy.
Seems strange to hear this all on a Les Paul Classic. You’re also a little too clean, visually, for some good Dime riffs. ;-)
Good video though.
sounds a bit weird in std tuning...but like your vids👍
1/4 step down???
@7:55 it's the type of strings you need not to make that sound bro
Sucks I cant play,my guitar is in the pawnshop . I miss it so much :,(
TheGoldenSubway why'd you get rid of it?
@@judehastings2643 I needed some cash so I pawned it. Itll be a while before i get it back but hopefully time will go fast
