This is an antique Press juicer, made in Germany around 1920 by ALEXANDERWERK.
It was pretty much rusted, so I decided to use chlorydric acid to remove it, and it worked fine...
I decided not to use epoxy resin to preserve the patina

I just got me a 377, almost the same device, but the juice comes out below the machine and the "dry sausage" at the rear end.

Alexanderwerk is a factory that was founded in 1885 and still is active today 👍 a beautiful result

It still exists today, having an american offspring/shareholder company. Their products really were built to last!

I got one of these a few days ago and I thought it was a meat grinder.
Boy, do I feel silly now. Great job restoring it!
I read a few comments and didn't see it mentioned. Nickel plating is not considered "food-safe" and can have toxic results. It can cause kidney and liver damage. Zinc or Tin platings would be better for anything coming into contact with food. Though it has to be kept in mind that those need to be renewed more often.

Loved the video! First time I've ever recognized a really old brand name, ladb did a video on an old book press from that company. The handles were brass balls, made that gold paint on yours seem even more fitting somehow
