Question: Where do you put the RGB controller box? (The one with the buttons on it) Do you just leave it inside the PC case somewhere? How do you access it to push the buttons? Thanks for the video!
I've seen alot of people just stick it on the wire tucking side panel, so you'd have to open it if you wanted to change it... you might switch it alot in the beginning but once it gets old you'll likely just keep it on your favorite color. Or change it every once in a while, which is only two thumb screws away

4:09 you say run it in DC mode if you connect it on the 4pin. How do make sure it's running in DC mode?
Edit: I think I found it, its on the BIOS and you change to DC for the Fans...

the AIO and RGB fans are always the hardest bits

The amd mounting seems weak because it only has 2 anchor points
Yes it’s two point go with Arctic freezer II 360 better performance
Agrred 4 would be better but it peforms well and on removing cooler all cpu is covered well with thermal paste

It doesn't make a difference imo. I had four on my arctic 280 and now I have two on my new fractal Celsius 280. Temps are nearly the same.
@@swizzler8053 its not about temps, its about longevity/endurance
I would always plug the pump into the CPU fan header. Most decent MBs will have a protection on that header. This way if pump ever dies it’ll stop it from booting and frying the CPU.

Your videos gave me the confidence and helped me to build my first computer last month. Deciding between an AIO and a traditional CPU heat sink with fan was a really tough choice. It was one of the hardest decisions of my build.

Silly question. I am installing this for the first time and was wondering if we have to add water to the block or is it already full
you don't have to add water, there is already water inside.
So if my RGB on the Lian AIO is not working it’s cause I need the MSI (motherboard) hardware? I want to avoid using the controller.
Which is a better AIO NZXT Kraken X/Z73 or Galahad AIO? The case is Lian Li Dynamic XL.

After 2 years with the galahad AIO in diferent positions, top, front with pull and push system and only push system is not cooling properly and my cpu is hotter tan ever
I do not have the aio pump header on my mother board i have the sata connector. I cant find any info on hooking that up. Does anyone know where to plug yhe weird flat wire?

Curious, are the temperatures that much lower, with an AIO versus a CPU fan, thus, is it worth it?
Never been a fan of water and electronics. But, AIOs seem to be growing in popularity now...

Would you say that the Galahad is loud while gaming? I am not sure if I should get this one for the looks or an other one for a more silent gaming set uo
The fans are loud. I have LL120 on my deepcool castle 360ex and cooling will be less but it is very quiet

i thought the lancool 2 doesnt support 360 on top?
That isnt a lancool case .... the lian li 2 mesh only offically supports a 240 aio on the top , although some I reddit claim they squeezed a 280 aio up there. A 360 can of course fit in the front

You sir, are a legend! I have just ordered a 240 galahad. Was wondering what I was going to do regarding my RGB. header is currently used for strip however was not aware I can just use splitter cables. This made it step by step clear which was also nice!

@@zackaparicio2843 hello, sorry for delay! You can get generic 3 or 4 pin RGB splitters, also known as daisy chain cables. However be sure to check what you’re plugging in and where. If it’s a 4 pin header you’re plugged to, it has to be compatible. ARGB and RGB are two different voltages and can cause damage if mismatched.

Goddd those wires when you turned the computer around.... My Anxiety went haywire... Great video never installed a Water Cooler system before, just trying to get some ideas on how they work... Kinda paranoid about water running through my computer, but I understand the science behind the cooling system. Much appreciate the video.
These are super helpful. I am about to hook up the 240mm version of this as an exhaust to my Lancool 2 mesh case. I also have to hook up the 3 intake RGB fans that come with it. I think with my x570 Tomahawk board I should have no trouble just using the splitters for each and plugging both ARGBs into my mobo..

wouod have been nice if you did a close up of each wire and where they go cause that is the trickiest part of this install and you basicslly went over the simple stuff

is it normal that after you tightened the screws that the have a small angle to them? i mounted my aio and its even on the board but it looks kinda sus with the screws on a slight angle idk if that is normal for that kind of mounting^^ is my first aio.. temps are fine with 40°C in Idle and around 60°C in Full use
Which header did you put your pump on again I don't think you mentioned it?
I'm assuming this would be same setup for the smaller aios as well like the 240 one

Can you control the speed of the pump connecting it this way ?
Im confused about the RGB. What controls the rgb? L Connect? The hub my AIO came with didnt come with a controllable hub with buttons on it. Do i need to control it through L Connect or my mobo? Asus Aura sync DOES NOT like to work on my pc. Have had it for years and havent been able to figure out why. Ive updated everything you could think of so maybe its a hardware issue.
Edit, my controller does not look like yours at all. Its about twice the size as the one I saw in this video.

I have the same AIO, I plugged in the 2 wires coming out of the AIO pump to CPU FAN on Motherboard and other right next to it to CPU_OPT on the motherboard, will that be alright?
God no, one is for the power the 3 pin one, this goes in CPU fan. Other one that looks like a 4 pin but has one filled in is for the ARGB, this goes into the ARGB socket on the mobo (5 V)

How reliable are these closed-loop liquid coolers? After 22 years on nuclear submarines, I've developed a serous mistrust of mixing water and electronics. I have a brand new Lian Li case with RGB fans and I've ordered RGB RAM, so I'm really leaning toward this specific cooler.
Fairly reliable I’d say.
The screws for the brackets on my cooler will not tighten past a certain once i apply them, but they stop while the cooler is still nowhere near the cpu and won't go any further no matter how much pressure i apply with the screwdriver

Hello do you need to fill the radiator with water before you use it ?
Got mine around 6-8 months ago. All a sudden heat is around 95 degrees while just have chrome with RUclips playing. Took it off and reapplied thermal paste. Same thing. Any advice? Back to using the stock cooler and idle is even cooler than it was them on this cooler.
I got the same issue mines idles at 60c
@@IndigoOmegaTv took it back for warranty, all good now. Much cooler better than it ever was. Had a defective one and didn’t know until it got worse
