    Excellent overview. Question around pump header placement on the cpu--for an AMD and Intel, you recommend putting the header on the RAM side of the mobo--in inverted builds on the 011 evo, is there an issue having the header on the VRM side opposite the RAM--same horizonal coverage? Or for AMD, does that not line up with the AMD die offset on the bottom?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  9 месяцев назад +1

      Hi [NLB] Sun Wolf, welcome to my channel. I did try placing to the VRM side, both workable, it's just that this is my personal preference as your VRM heatsink will have more heat compared to the rams area, this is why i advise to place it towards the ram side. Nevertheless it will work on either side. so long the hose is not pointing downwards. As for the Offset of the AMD vs the coldplate. you are right, it is indeed not align but the flow of the slit inside the coldpate cools better with the orientation I have suggested. You can test it as that's my experience with it. Thanks for visting and all the very best with your build too. 😉

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  5 месяцев назад

      Hi foxtrotbravo, welcome to my channel. Yes I do notice that. If you look carefully on the screws where the bolt goes at four corners. The thread on the screws are not threaded fully. That’s where it stops the bolts from over tightening. That’s how it supposed to to work. The suspended cross bar act as a retention to hold the coldplate to the IHS, that’s why the four rubber studs that is holding the backplate does not flush.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  9 месяцев назад

      Hi aurorate, welcome to my channel. I believe you are using the GA II Trinity. As what you've mentioned. Yes you can leave it as it is, but you will need to use your motherboard UEFI or application to control the RPM of your radiator fans. As for the ARGB, that's correct, plug to the uni controller and make use of the L-Connect 3 app to control the argb effects.

    Will this work for a 13 fan setup?
    🔵 6 140mm fans in push/pull on the aio into one controller set to pmw mode (I want these fans controlled by the bios, or running off the main fan headers)
    🔵 The remaining 4 140mm, and 3 120mm on the second controller (3x140, 1x140, 3x120)
    What I'm unsure about is the AIO fans and if I need the fans connected to the MB headers or if they can just run off the controller.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  10 месяцев назад

      Hi Nucl3ar, welcome to my channel. Yes you can run the radiator fans directly from the motherboard fan header (CPU_FAN1) and plug the argb to your uni fan controller. This is recommended, just incase if the uni controller malfunction. In the event of malfunction, at least you know that your radiator fans are still up and running. Only the argb effects will not work. As for case fans, you can just run directly from the uni controller.

    Hello, thank you very much for your review. I have a question.
    I bought
    -) Galahad II trinity infinity (yes controller)
    -) 6 single reverse balde (no controller)
    -) 1 strimer cable only for GPU (no controller)
    On my motherboard I only have 1 3pin 5V.
    I linked 3 fans and 3 fans daisy chain.
    So I linked 2 blocks of fans + AIO to the controller on the aio
    Now i link controller to motherboard usb and 3 pin 5V
    BUT where do I link the strimer cable ?
    I don’t have any 3 pin left on my mobo…
    Can I buy a splitter 3 pin 5V or my pc will burn ?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  10 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Robertorgg, welcome to my channel. for your Galahad Trinity SL Inf, you do not need to plug the argb cable from your pump to your motherboard 5v 3pin argb header. make use of the L-Connect 3 app to control the radiator fans and pump argb. as for your reverse fans, as for your reverse fans, I am not sure how the package is like as I do not owe any, but for your GPU strimer plus, you can plug directly to your motherboard ARGB header. Kindly do not use splitters for both strimer plus + uni fans.

    • @KleoYan

      Hi Kevin Eureka welcome to my channel. for the pump you will need to use the L-Connect 3 app, else for the fans, you can plug the 4pin directly to any of your fan headers but the argb you will still need the connector that is provided. the other end you can plug directly to the argb motherboard header. you will need to figure it yourself on the connection.

There are some great difference between normal and the SL-Infinity. 1st the SL-Infinity able to use L-Connect 3 app to perform various patterns for ARGB effects 2nd the air pressure is higher on the SL-Infinity. As for performance, it's about 1 to 2 degrees difference.

      Hi Zade Wolve, welcome to my channel. though I have not release the perfomance content of all these GA II Trinity aio, either the SL-Inf 120 or Performance are both good choice as the fans on the SL-Inf and Performance, both yeild better results. between the SL-Inf and Performance, it's about 3 to 5 degrees difference on default load of a AMD 7950X.

      Hi Sham Ahmed, welcome to my channel. In your case, there are no way to use the controller that comes with the liquid AiO, you will need to swap out the controller to your 3pack set controller. As those come with only 7pin connection. I will advise you to do this.
      Swap to make use of the tripple pack fan controller.
      1) 3 x AIO Radiator fans , use the single pack cable, connect the fan RPM connector directly to your motherboard CPU_FAN header.
      As for the ARGB connector, plug it to the triple pack controller on sync port 2
      - Use your motherboard software or UEFI to control the fan RPM
      - Use L-Connect 3 app to contorl the argb effects
      - Reason for this, if your controller failed, your fan will still spin as it is to cool your CPU, which is important. So in the event if your controller failed, only argb is affected.
      2) 3 x Case fan, plug using the 7pin cable to port 2 to the tripple pack controller.
      Use L-connect 3app to controll both fans RPM and argbs effects via L-Connect 3 app
      3) 1 x rear fan, plus using the 7pin cable to port 1 to the tripple pack controller.

    My Trinity 360 is about to arrive any minute now and I'm already freaking out over the instruction manual. When it comes to wiring, it is probably the most confusing manual out all the AIOs I've checked out ... and I'm still not sure what I'm supposed to do. For instance: I'm pretty sure the "M"-cable is only needed if you want to control the RGB through your motherboard. But the manual doesn't make things very clear, because it tries to cram in all possible connection scenarios into one diagram. They should've instead provided is with separate how-tos for every scenario possible (control through motherboard vs control through L-Connect, etc)
    That said: What are your thoughts on L-Connect? Should I use it or should I just control everything through my motherboard or through my case's built in RGB-controller? And should I use L-Connect for everything, including fan/pump RPM? Or should I run those two directly through the board and use the BIOS to control RPM?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi 1SaG, welcome to my channel. It depends which GA II Trinity you are using. if you are using original, the connection is pretty straight forward, what will add more to the equation will be the GA II Trinity Inf, as you will need to fiddle which two controllers. one from the block and other is the SL Inf fans. as for all connection to Liquid AIO, I always do this. plug the radiator fans directly to motherboard CPU_FAN and to use motherboard UEFI to set the fans. As for the argb I will use the controller to us L-Connect 3 app to do the effects.

    • @1SaG
      @1SaG 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@KleoYanThanks for responding!
      To clarify: It is the basic Trinity 360 (Performance version seems to have dropped off the market and INF version is out of stock everywhere over here.. :) ). Meaning I don't have a Lian Li RGB controller and would either have to use L-Connect or my board for RGB. I tried my case's built-in RGB-controller yesterday for the rest of my RGB-stuff and it seems to be a bit limited in its capabilities, so I'm not going to use that one.
      I ended up running everything through L-Connect and while it does work, fan control is a bit too "hectic" for my taste, with the AiO-fans ramping up/down too often under light to medium loads whenever the CPU gets just a *little* warmer. A more "relaxed" custom curve should help here, I guess. Temperatures under heavy loads (Cinebench, etc) are quite amazing compared to the gen 1 Galahad 240 I used before with the i7-14700KF - so the AIO is doing its job.
      I went by the manual (I hope) and plugged the fans' PWM and RBG-connectors into the adapter cable that then connects to the pump. The pump's fixed cables are plugged into SATA-power, a USB 2.0 header and the "CPU Fan" header. The slightly annoying thing about that method is that I can't monitor the fans' RPM anywhere except in L-Connect. The motherboard only sees the pump's RPM, which it lists as "CPU" - I guess because I plugged the fixed PWM cable into my "CPU Fan"- and not into my "CPU Pump"-header.
      I do feel slightly uncomfortable letting an app control my CPU fans, so I would prefer running fan RPM and perhaps pump-RPM through the board. Can I still use L-Connect to control RGB when I do this, or should I rather ditch L-Connect completely and run everything (fan-RPM, pump-RPM, RGB) through my board? It is an MSI Z690 Tomahawk which does have three 5V RGB headers, so I should be fine WRT connections. Also: If I decide to go through the motherboard, do I still need to plug the SATA and USB cables in or will the AiO get powered through the fan-headers like that?

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  7 месяцев назад

      @@1SaG hi Welcome back. as why your motherboard does not read the PWM readings, that because you are connected to the pump controller which you will see in L-Connect 3, what you can do is.. between the cable O and N, at the O end, plug the 4pin pwm to your CPU_FAN header and the argb connect from cable O to N. This will let you see the PWM status on your motherboard but you will need to make use of the UEFI or motherboard utlity to control the fan curve. On my other content, I did it this way for the radiator fans as I prefer to have the motherboard to take control. In the event if the controller of the pump fails, only the argb is affected and not the radiator fans which runs off directly from my motherboard.
