After completing my build in Lancool 216, I thought that the controller is not working, because only the bottom buttons were active. Then I watched the end of the video and apparently, my controller came in with both inner and outer RGB's synced. So thank you for making clear instructions on how to change that.
Thank you so much your detailed guide of the installation helped avoid a couple headaches that I was running into. Gamers Nexus has good temperature comparison videos of cases but he barely grazes over features that you went over in detail🎉. All he really talks about are the fans and the value.
Thanks, this case is only recently available in the EU, still not with the RGB fans, and I am just debating with myself whether to get it or not. This super clear build guide, is brilliant and convincing.
OOOOOOOHHHHH!!! SO CLOSE!!! I was stoked to watch this because I'm doing a build tomorrow with this exact case and cooler. I was wondering if I could forego the wiring harness from the LS720 and just plug them into the hub, but then you went and used Lian Li fans and not the Deep Cool ones and now I still don't know. Rats.
I installed this cooler in the case. I plugged the argb for the cooler into the hub on the case. Instead of my motherboard. Since my motherboard only had one argb header which I’m using to plug in the hub that comes on the case. Otherwise the fans are plugged in to each other as per the instructions. And the pump is plugged in the motherboard AIO header. And the sata is connected to my sata cable of my psu. Oh and the last wire from the last fan is plugged into the cpu fan header on my motherboard. It stumped me for a while to be honest, since he used the other fans. But he also has a video which he links in the description where he installs the same cooler with the original fans.
@@hollykaye8720 After this comment I ended up returning the Lancool for a Montech Sky Two case. I almost hosed myself because I mounted the radiator in the top and the thickness of the rad plus fans ran into the IO shroud of my mobo and had to be really rammed down (if only it was a millimeter taller!) and when I went to hook up the wires from the LS720, the AIO pump went to the AIO header, the fans to the CPU header, but then discovered the wire that feeds the first fan of the daisy chain needed to be connected and it was in the BACK of the radiator to hide the wires. I had to blindly feel for the socket, but luckily had room to plug it in. I ended up using the provided harness to hook up to the SATA power and RGB header. (My mobo has five chassis fan and ARGB headers.) Unfortunately, I've been saddled with two defective fan hubs in the case. The first was a known issue that was supposed to be fixed before retail units went out where fans ran at 100% speed and the replacement hub was also defective in that they only run at 0% (~600 rpm) and can't speed up. Went back and forth with Montech for a few days before they concluded I somehow got a 2nd dud controller. What a drag.
First time builder from scratch here. Just installed my 7800x3D and RTX 4080. I’m so pleased with it. I’ve had a couple custom built PCs that I’ve played around a lot with but first time building from scratch. Although my parts were all different apart from the case, you just need to figure out the corresponding options on your own build and it’s fine. Your video helped so much. One thing I did mess up on is that my motherboard only has 1 usb 3.0 slot so I can’t use the USBs on my ARGB controller which is on the side of the case. The one you pay extra for and is sold separately. I can still change the lights but I can’t use the USBs. Is there a work around even though I only have 1 usb 3.0 slot on my motherboard? My mobo is the MSI Mag Mortar B650m
My computer parts are delivered tomorrow, I wanted to do it myself with almost no experience because assemblege (or something) costs were 250 euro's, to much, so I'm going to try to assemble the whole computer by myself, wish me luck haha. I really really really hope I didn't underestimated how difficult this is to do... I bought quite expensive parts for my pc so I can't mess this up D: You explained everything very clearly and well so if I succeed I am very thankfull
Really appreciate this video. I just purchased this case and other parts and plan to install in a week or so. (still waiting on GPU) This will prove very helpful, I haven't done a build in about 5 years and I'm nervous. :)
Thank you for this build. Although I'm transferring my air cooled build into this case, this guide really helped. The lian li comes with loads of different bolts and screws, last night i was getting confused on how to mount fans at the bottom, and the fan hub really confused me in terms of where things go. Went to boot my computer and only 2 RGB fans were working and I wasn't getting a picture out (debug 55 on asus viii hero) realized that I didnt have cpu fans connected to cpu fan header. I eventually gave up and will try again today after work but I reviewed this video and was annoyed at how brain dead I can be. Really love the channel and your content bro!!
i gave up on mounting the bottom fans bc i couldnt figure how to get them mounted UNTIL i rewatched ur vid and saw i needed to REMOVE the bottom grates. i love u so much thanks u!!!!!

I followed this guide and was extremely helpful. One thing to note with this case, and the back fan. If you choose to upgrade the 140mm to lian li uni rgb 140mm, it doesn't fit well, maybe depending on your motherboards IO shield (I'm using Asus Tuf z690-f) . I got it to work, but had to bend the metal case a mm or 2. A dremel would be handy. Edit: a side sticker fell off of one of my 120s, so maybe if you peel the sticker off the side that faces the motherboard(or both), it might work better. Those side stickers are pretty thick. I wasn't aware they could come off.
Nice video. Keep it up. Your previous video about the LANCOOL 3 case had helped me a lot to complete my pc build on the LANCOOL 3 case. Thank you so much.
Nice build and lot of work to explain everything, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately air flow from one of the bottom fans is almost completely blocked by 8 pin cables.
Super useful video, thank you! I am getting my own 216 in a couple of days, I cant wait. I am doing a very basic build with an AMD 5600 + MSI Tomahawk b550, 32Gb ram, 1 Tb Samsung SSD, and cooled by aThermalright Frost Commander 140...
Just to say I referred to your video last weekend when putting together a new PC with this case. Your guide was so useful in helping me prep the case. Unfortunately I can't get L-connect3 to detect the fan hub/optional controller. I've rewired today and obviously I did something wrong before as I can now change the fan colours with the buttons but I can't change the settings in the connect app.
Blood, sweat, tears, a pizza break, we had no idea why the fans weren't working until we found out the sayta wire was the issue. It wasn't plugged in. We're all fools now. Thank you for the video.
I order my own 216 case two days ago and I waiting my shipment when its arriver to my post. This video is awesome help to build my own PC. This video helps more than case manual. One thing about case fans. Are these enough silent, what you think? Thanks to you, pal!
Hy! Excelent video! Helping me a lot speed up my LianLi216 new setup. When you say on 23:16 thar you are going to plug your cable coming from the argb controller on that argb Header, you mean the argb cable from the “argb Control & USB Module”, not the one from the “SQE-216 FAN WITH ARGB HUB PCB”. This last one connects on the other argb plug from the “ARGB Control & USB module”. Correct?

I had to blindly feel for the socket, but luckily had room to plug it in. I ended up using the provided harness to hook up to the SATA power and RGB header. (My mobo has five chassis fan and ARGB headers.)
Unfortunately, I've been saddled with two defective fan hubs in the case.
Very helpful tutorial. You explained exactly what I needed in a short time (very time saving). Thank you!
Get a splitter 2 to 1 splitter 👍
How's the 4080? Anything you wish you would have gone bigger for?
Great video. Just got this case for my new build and this was a super useful reference during my building process!
Thank you so much for this video, just purchased this case and this video went above and beyond helping me.
Really appreciate this video. I just purchased this case and other parts and plan to install in a week or so. (still waiting on GPU) This will prove very helpful, I haven't done a build in about 5 years and I'm nervous. :)
How did it go? I finally got all the parts and I'm debating doing the same.
A perfect video since I'm looking to buy this case. Nice job and thank you so much 👏
Thank you for this build.
I love the motherboard "beautiful" 😁 Good job Chris👍
Thanks Arvin one of the best looking ones I have used. Are you still playing table tennis?
@@ChristopherFlannigan Hi Chris Me and Erin stopped playing due to covid. I've heard the B&D league is back. I'm thinking on coming back to play on January hopefully. How's the team? pls send my regards to Billy and all.
I'm glad you switched from Red for your video thumbnails. The red you were using made it impossible to tell if it was watched or not.
Red is for reviews, so sorry it will be back
I loved your video. perfect explanation of the cabinet and very complete. Greetings, I come from Chile.
Is it weird I watch your build guide videos to calm myself down lol
Nice video. Keep it up. Your previous video about the LANCOOL 3 case had helped me a lot to complete my pc build on the LANCOOL 3 case. Thank you so much.
This video helped me build my first PC. Thanks a lot.
1000th like! like any typical man, i refuse to read instructions. Thanks for an excellent guide.
Nice build and lot of work to explain everything, thanks for sharing. Unfortunately air flow from one of the bottom fans is almost completely blocked by 8 pin cables.
Great Build Video. Thanks a lot for all the useful hints i will be aware of in my next build.
Your detailed review convinced me to get one. Thanks!
The best video that explained everything in detail
This video was incredibly thorough and helpful. Thank you for creating this video with so much attention to detail!
This deserves a sub. Thank you man.
Blood, sweat, tears, a pizza break, we had no idea why the fans weren't working until we found out the sayta wire was the issue. It wasn't plugged in. We're all fools now. Thank you for the video.
Thanks for the build video!! These are so helpful when you're looking at building a new rig. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you! Your content is truly amazing. The level of detail is very helpful.
Best case video ever. Enough said.
18:24 additional usb hub its missing of the list bro👍
Deep review of these lancool case 216 and iii much helped me to choose thx
I order my own 216 case two days ago and I waiting my shipment when its arriver to my post. This video is awesome help to build my own PC. This video helps more than case manual. One thing about case fans. Are these enough silent, what you think? Thanks to you, pal!
This was thorough! Thanks!
Thanks. helped me build new pc with breeze. a Good case indeed. highly recommended
This was an amazingly well-made video and extremely helpful! thank you so much!!
Correct?
good job Chirs! keep up the good content.
Thanks will do
Excellent video for what appears to be an excellent product.
