Good review I just got the 179 75th anniversary edition as well. Great meter,terrible leads.Paid out of pocket for silicone leads. Best of the best regardless of leads tho. Cheers!
My everyday multimeter is a Fluke 79 from the 1990s. On someone's recommendation, I bought a Tesmen TM-510 to keep inside the house for quick measurements, but I don't like it one bit. However, it was only £12 and the leads are pretty good.....
The test leads sum up Fluke for me perfectly... 40 years ago, I bought a multimeter, a DMM. It was and remains the fastest meter I've ever used. Obviously, not auto range, which I don't like anyway. I've never found any meter betters my Beckman Tech 310 from 1985 Still very accurate and I use it most days.

The decent Fluke leads I was sent, after complaining, just failed, well one of them has. Pretty poor. Back to cheap silicon leads...
