I love this! Your shelf looks beautiful with those candles; I'm ordering some now. You are 100% correct about pottery. We lost our dog in November and my friend is a potter. I commissioned her to make an urn for Willow's ashes and I know she put so much love and healing vibes into it.
You have got hygge 100% right… so many lovely things you have planned and done for yourself in order to get a hyggelig evening/night. Selfcare and doing just what makes you happy and cozy are key to having hygge☺️.. I am also having a hyggelig time with a cat sleeping on my legs, a dog sleeping at my feet, propped up with pillows and a warm blanket on my sofa. And of course, a pot of warm tea. Yes, in Denmark where the temperaturen is just above 0˚ celcius😁
I like your idea of the battery-operated candles and you've inspired me to do something similar. I also prefer diffusing pure essential oils instead of a scented candle because they can be toxic to the body.
My grandfather was a potter, he was blind and learned how to throw pottery. He sold a lot of his pottery at art fairs. I still have several of his pieces.
I love this!!! So inspirational and do-able! I am Norwegian and I live alone in Southern CA, too. I will definitely adopt some of these habits. Thank you so much!!
I'm having a hygge day and evening. It Saturday and raining in my part of So. Cal., Thousand Oaks and after a very physically demanding week it's the perfect day for exactly this. Hygge. Thank you! Your friend Kristine
❤️🐈⬛🐈Love your pottery so much I want to make some exactly like them but since I already have have so many “hobbies “ I won’t allow myself to start any more new ones. Need to finish many projects first.
I'm a bit tightly wound too and sometimes at night my legs cramp. So painful. I found that rubbing magnesium cream into my thighs at night helps immensely to relax the muscles and help me sleep. (I got mine from Earthly.) I'm a little late to the party so I hope you see this! 😘
Lovely video and great explanation of hygge. Your pottery is wonderful. I tried the wheel but am much more skilled with hand building, coiling, and pinch pots. Your glazes are so special. I'm glad you appreciate them and remember the process of forming them. Truly works of art.
Im bald again from chemo,I hate chemo but I have no choice, was my only option.Im still purging my house, lots of stuff are gone,I didn’t feel attached to them. After January I continue.Love you and your channel.
Great video. I have been following a hygge lifestyle for many years. My home is a lovely, cozy space as a Scandinavia in west Michigan it makes the winter bearable( as does leaving for a few months) 😂…❤ ❄️
Love all your videos, but found this one to be especially inspiring. Would love to know where you get your soft pants. Thank you, please keep the content coming!
Hi! Thank you! You can see the pants in this short and click through the link there to check out the exact ones! They are from Target. ruclips.net/user/shorts5YNSzHuL74M
Great vlog today. I live up on the Washington State Peninsula and it's always crappy, cold and dark this time of year. Hygge is a good thing. Thank you. The kitten is the best companion!! Cheers
“For or five, before the sun sets”… yeah that would be way before 4 pm in northern Europe from October to April 😅. Hygge is definitely a lifestyle thing and daily necessity to prevent seasonal affective disorder in this part of the world 🥶
I love anything Hygge related so really enjoyed your video. I have always had to work alot harder at staying centered during Winter months. In the midwest you wake up in the dark and pretty much are in the dark by 4:00pm which can get old month after month.Practicing Hygge is perfect and actually works quite well. I have received the jewelry I ordered from your website and have to tell you how much I am enjoying each and every piece! There is much truth to how you feel when you select a hand crafted item compared to a department store piece. I have no doubt I will be a repeat customer❤
Lovely😘 and it’s also about honouring each season I feel, and accepting the ebbs and flows. Winter is a great time to slow down and reflect and restore. Now I’m in summer ☹️ a tough season where I live - oh for a nice shady pool to relax in.
Perfectly timed Diana! The temperatures have been unseasonably cold this week in my corner of the world and I've been scrambling to get my house ready for hygge evenings! We even got snow on Wednesday, which is totally unheard of in November for us! We rarely see snow at all and if we do it it's in January or February and it either melts immediately or at best within a couple of days. I definitely need to get new rechargeable candles this year because they no longer hold a charge and having a mess of wires sticking out of my fireplace into a charging block is definitely not hygge! I love to shut off the lights on a cold evening and have nothing but candles to illuminate my space whilst having a cuddly puppy, a blanket and my Kindle to keep me cosy and entertained!
I know you'd be surprised to hear this but I love snow SO MUCH! Enjoy your hygge with the snow outside. The rechargeable candles are a real game changer. The charge lasts a loooooong time! I love them.
Lovely video. I must have missed the link for the pants from Target. Are they still available? Their website offers 50 pages (!) of options to plow through. Thanks very much. ~ Lisa
@@LB-vl3qn Hi, Lisa! You should be able to find it right at the top of this list of my favorite things: ruclips.net/user/shopcollectionSCUCTKAFWg5mBwoD5PAbQgMawt07a98XfOuzA?si=xd2Qb4naVn7qsbX9
Hi! I barely know how to do my wavy hair. It naturally flips how it wants each time and I never know what I'm going to get. I usually use just hair oil when it's wet and some hair spray when it's dry. If it's flipping weird I might use a curling iron to get some waves to settle down.
Perfect video idea on this chilly day! But I had to find out if those were LED candles before I could watch; as a firefighter's daughter, I was having a heart attack😆
I want to live in this video! Those are just great tips! Thank you
So glad you enjoyed this! 😘

I think I've been hygge - ing for long before I ever heard the word 😊
How happy i am to see a new video from you. With hygge attached!!!
Glad you're here Molly!
Oh, I do love you pottery! It's all so pretty.

For me Hygge is a simmer pot on the stove . My adorable brittany spaniel beside me and a good read .
Love from the Netherlands ❤❤

Oh trust me... making pottery will consume your life so only enter into it if you're prepared to get obsessed!

Yes! Magnesium is supposed to help with overall relaxation. I need to make mine into a cream because I can't drink it. It hurts my stomach.

Thank you! The next class I take will be hand building and I am so excited!
@@unblahyourself You can really go wild with hand building and create all sorts of wonderful textures and work with Raku techniques. Sky's the limit!
@cltinturkey ahhh so fun!
Good inspiration! Just done with laundry, making some tea, enjoying your video.

Thinking of you with love. My son, 37,is with us now fighting cancer for the 3rd time with his beautiful little bald head. We will all be ok.
Best of luck and many hugs to you! 😘
Gorgeous pottery btw! I'm envious of your many artistic talents! 😊

You are me to a T as we have the same taste in all things Hygge but I have a great dog name Wiggy I cuddle with. Happy Thanksgiving!
Hygge with Wiggy! How I wish that actually rhymed!
Great hygge list and the best idea is to schedule it! otherwise...I'd default to non hygge activities. Thanks.

Beautiful Hygge! I have that quite often! Nothing wrong with scheduling it! Thanks for sharing this with us! 😀
I say Happy Hygge season! ❤
Very inspiring!❤
I love hygge so much! Here in the Pacific Northwest it’s all about lighting for me! I’m still trying for the fresh air walk goals.
You can do it!

Your handmade pieces are lovely. Are they all hand built as opposed to wheel? You've inspired me to start crafting again. Gorgeous wee video.
Thank you! These pieces are mostly from the wheel. My next class will be hand building. I cannot wait to have time to do that!
Lovely video as always! Lots of love to everyone 🤗❤️

Hi! Off topic, but do you use any styling products to enhance the subtle flips at the bottom of your hair?
