Loved this. I’ve learned that if you feel like you’re wearing a costume, it’s not the right style for you. I LOVE that silk beaded jacket…on you. I would feel ridiculous. Boring is my favorite. Always has been. I’ve been wearing navy and white striped shirts since o was a little girl. My daughter says stripes are my favorite color 😂. I love neutrals. Not all Americans are into such colorful clothes. But we do express the more here. Minimal classic style is the foundation of French style, with the details you mentioned sprinkled in. And minimal classic is me. I remember when I got my first pencil skirt ❤. I was 11. My first black turtleneck in 8th grade when I borrowed my mom’s ❤. Button up blouses in middle school ❤. And I’ve never been without since. It’s just my personal style. In college my roommate asked me why all my clothes were black, white, navy, or gray with some blue sprinkled in. I had never noticed. So, I dutifully went out and bought 1 shirt in each color and put them in my closet. And left them there. 😂 I do wear some color now. But I also wear a lot of neutrals.

Just found you today and suscribed!! I have been decluttering my house for about 3 years and I feel like I need to get rid of more stuff I have a home in NY and a condo in FL and my condo in FL is so beautiful and clutter free! I want the same feeling at my NY home but because it is almost 4 times bigger than my condo; it is a bit difficult but boy!! I have gotten rid of so much stuff and it feels soo good!! Oh I really loved this one. When my girls started school, I told them they could wear anything they wanted so long as they didn't look like everybody else. I wanted the teachers to see them, in hopes they have opportunities I never had had. The ironic thing is that I encourage that don't look like everybody else as a stepping stone, but they fully embraced it as a value all of its own. Now that they're adults, the careers that they have chosen and the way they live out of periods are not like anyone else. When has figured out how to be a Heritage breed organic chicken Farmer on a half acre of land, and the other one, with her husband, but 10 acres of land that is absolutely useless along the river. They however use it as a lab. He is an internationally recognized conservation photographer, a master naturalist who prizes conservation and protecting the land in the critters that live on it. I am so proud of them. And your point is very true--those who look like everybody else are not seen

I grew out my pixie and cut a French bob myself. Couldn't find a stylist who knew what a French bob is. Some people are hair-focused. You could have the face of a bulldog but if you've got long hair, they think you're beautiful. I have always thought that shorter hair is classier and really emphasizes you eyes and face. So SMILE!

You hit on something with the ‘rich mum /rich aunt’ thing. Part of why French women love high quality clothes in classic styles is because they are an investment. They don’t date. So they can collect a few pieces in their life time and pass them down and through the generations build a larger wardrobe.

I hope everyone realises she’s had numerous face lifts, tightening, bleph’s, nose jobs, etc plus skin treatments.

I use castor oil, with black seed oil, with pomegranate and rose hip oil, but I also use a sheep drench ivermectin as a toner. Then there is also the mole and spot issue that black seed oil works on, that no one talks about. There’s also sea buckthorn extract.

I've used Boomsticks for years. They last a very long time and are great for sensitive skin. The Boomstick highlighter stick is not similar to what you used at all. It is a version of the other Boomsitck--not white or pearly. I don't purchase all the other products that were added after Cindy Joseph's passing but I love the color and highlighter sticks and they are great for travel. I use a tinted sunscreen underneath. I do appreciate your attempt at duping though and love to hear about your favorite products.

I look awful without makeup (57) saggy skin, butterfly mask, dark eye circles, I can’t afford all the beauty treatments and to be perfectly frank, the last few years not only can’t I be bothered to wear makeup I hate the feel of it now. So I brave it without makeup.
