Goodbye to saying I can't do that, I'm 80 and have always loved drawing and done a little painting, I recently watched a guy on here, who inspired me to buy some new canvases brushes and acrylics, it has made me feel so free and given me a new lease of life, ❤❤❤
You really are just fabulous Diana! My late husband used to say ‘the optimist and the pessimist end up in the same place. The optimist just had a better time of it. Why make yourself miserable?’ And yes he is my *late* husband. And he lived his short life full of optimism and joy despite living through ill health and pain. I learned a lot from him and am blessed to have had an inspirational soulmate in my life. 💖
@ that is so kind thank you. And I am doing well. Proud to watch our son growing up with his father’s positive outlook. Maybe there’s a nature nurture thing going on there who knows. 💕
You are so right, my suitcase is heavy at the age of 52 and I’m so very tired of carrying all these things with me everywhere I go, it’s like an eternal and internal prison sentence. Time to let it all go and walk tall without that heavy weight anymore. Thank you for helping me see what needs to go 🥰
Yes, change is the constant! I realized this a while back...life is moving like the ocean, ebb and flow, sometimes the devastating tsunami. It is going to happen, our reaction to it and action during it, is what matters!
Do one thing everyday is brilliant………that is seven little things in a week and not long enough for misery to set in. That is how I am coping with the mess in my sewing room. I know it works, I have done it before
This morning I sat outside on my back porch with my coffee and listened to the rain and the birds starting their day around sunrise. It was so peaceful and I thought, "why haven't I been doing this all along?!" I'm not going to judge myself for that but I'm going to say Bon Voyage to not taking opportunities to enjoy nature in my own backyard and start sitting outside with the birds every morning or afternoon for at least a while. 🌅
So wise, I have the perfect place to sit out, and I didn’t do it, telling myself I didn’t have time, I didn’t have the right chair, and what if someone visited and I didn’t hear the doorbell! You inspired me to just do it! The benefits outweigh the negatives! Thank you, blessed safe days!
"Hope for everything stays the same" is sooo me. You can imagine what is doing to me since I lost my husband (also my best friend and my son Dad) last January. It is a huge learning curve. On the other hand, I am so glad I wasn't carrying much baggage, so I am focus on what truly matter to me and to keep life roiling.
Serendipity- As I was walking around my property this morning I was working with releasing shame. Thanks for the reinforcement. Unabashed authenticity is my new mantra.
As a young super busy housewife, Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher and community events manager. I had a moment, while racing to get to a meeting, I turned the wrong way, I tore myself apart calling myself an idiot and so on! I pulled to the curb and realized, I wouldn’t talk to a dog like that! I determined I was going to talk to “my little girl self, “honey we all make mistakes and it’s OK to be late sometimes and maybe you need to take stock of your commitments, cut back so your not frantic all the time“ It was life changing and overtime I was able to prioritize my commitments and how I viewed myself! Thank you for this series! Blessed safe days!
This was great advice! Love these types of videos! I’ve struggled so much to let go of shame and judgment until my whole world view changed. Found out religion is all man-made and hell isn’t real. I stopped worrying about the afterlife and only focus on what I’ve got now because it’s likely all we got. And that’s kind of a relief.
I can understand your perspective, many of us grew up under hell and hellfire preaching and it left us in fear! I choose to believe in a loving God, who has my best interests at heart, who is the God of all comfort and is with me in troubling times! Not preaching at you just sharing my take on life lived according to “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Hopefully you will take this in the spirit it is given, no condonation meant, just my path!
@@alicejump2290 that is a nice verse but if you actually read the bible, all of it, you will find that God isn’t actually nice at all. But I don’t think choosing to believe in a loving God will harm you. Thank you for sharing in a loving way, I wish more Christians were like you.
@@sheenadenae3156 yes, I can see how the Bible is easily misunderstood and misinterpreted! I appreciate your perspective and the way you responded to my comment! I have read the bible through multiple times since my salvation and study it to frame the way I live! My heart goes out to you and I wonder if you would consider opening the door just a little crack asking God to show you Himself! Please believe I in no way judging you or the choices you have made, I am glad you are doing what works for you!
I'm going to say goodbye to - not asking. I hate to vacuum, my husband is good at it but wouldn't notice a giant dust bunny as it was dragging him under the bed. So now I will ask..."how about doing the vacuuming"
I recently rediscovered a little book called “Who Moved My Cheese?” - a 1998 parable about embracing and anticipating change. Lace up those tiny mouse sneakers and get after it! 😂
Love you and your vids. You need to start a Baddie Club.Yes I’ve been apologizing to family members and people.Life is short,I hope I’ll be good with the All Mighty.
Great series! I can relate to all 15. #13 reminded me of a line in "Tom Sawyer" by Rush: "He knows change is not permanent, but change is". I still worry about change, but I smile thinking of the line.

It's amazing how some of personality is genetic. I am really thrilled that my son inherited my mother's sunny disposition.

You're right. Ditching the bad habits you spoke of would undoubtedly bring much more peace and contentment in life.

I grew up Methodist and fearful. Once I simply embraced love and let go of fear my life changed!
