I just wish they increased the amount of money vendors had alongside the fix
I like this, especially given it's a single player game. One of the plus sides to them fixing it is all the more people will likely now complain, submit proper feedback, etc, letting them know they'd like to see an increase in vendor credit amounts. Not sure we'll actually see it happen as maybe it wont actually be THAT many people or Bethesda simply not seeing it as something that actually needs to be changed, but time will tell.

Looting everything from them and even just getting out of the map which of course we only did for the sake of looting them, was pretty fun, absolutely. Sucks to see them go, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't expect it to happen.

@@IamTravOfficial Yeah, I had no doubt in my mind they'd be fixing glitches. I know they didn't fix the vendor chests in older games, but they had no hesitation patching many glitches in Fallout 4 for instance. Idk if people forget that, weren't playing early on, or just didn't mess with glitches back then. In any case, this isn't anything new or too much of a shock.
I had a feeling that the patches were coming soon. It is Bethesda. I'm kind of bummed that the ammo chest is gone. Hopefully they add in ammo crafting at some point soon.
Yeah, I mean they straight up told us a week ago that weekly updates were coming, though starting with things that were more of a priority or simply major issues. I guess for whatever reason, fixing the vendor containers was something they deemed as a priority and so here we are. I figured it was definitely coming, but not this quick. As for ammo crafting, I too would love to see that implemented and hope it does. If they don't do it, you know mods will. I think it's a feature that should be officially implemented by them though as it makes sense to be in a game like this and could then in turn exist without disabling achievements as well.

Disappointed in the chest patching. Skyrim was never patched like this.
A lot of people figured since it didn't get patched then and even stayed into the new versions of the game (Skyrim Special Edition for instance), that Starfield would follow suit. I personally didn't think that would be the case, but also didn't think they'd fix them this quick. I guess it was higher up on the priority list than some of us thought it would be and for others, a surprise to find out it was on the list at all.

@@rsxxboxfanatic 3 maybe, but 4 didn't have them to my knowledge. I covered Fallout 4 about as thoroughly as someone could during my time of doing videos for it. I don't recall there ever being vendor chests, but if there were than no one was accessing them with glitches either. However, there were many glitches for that game including vendor glitches, but Bethesda patched the majority of glitches overall. It's very much for that reason this doesn't surprise me and also why I expected it to happen.

Knew it would likely happen, now it seems like NPC interactions are broken. Whenever I go to speak with any that have missions attached to them, I freeze and can't leave.
Yeah, not a big shocker they did it. As for your issue, literally every NPC you need to talk to for a mission? I assume you tried at least a few? If so and it’s that broken, that blows. I know there were a few quests in particular that had progression blocking bugs like that, but they’ve sense been fixed. Not to say more can’t exist still obviously, but if yours is just with every mission related NPC, seems like more of a game but overall you’re having, not single mission specific. Sorry to hear :/

Plenty of more videos and specifically glitches to come. The vendor ones may be patched, but it's still early. Lots of other glitches out there in general and more will no doubt be found as well.

Patching "Single Player Money Exploits" instead of focusing on "Game Breaking/Quest Halting Bugs and Glitches" 👏🙌 They definitely have their priorities sacked away.
I definitely expected to see more of the latter and just things of that nature which make the game run better before they were to have torched things like the vendor glitch. Maybe it was a super easy fix and they were sick of seeing stuff about it though, idk.
@@DemonAsylum Its just very puzzling how game devs go about their ways now. You have the item dupe glitch from Obvlion which was just never touched and is pretty much a stable. Several FO4 glitches remain as well as Skyrims plethora of them... Just a very weird aspect... Alot of people have stuck on some major major Main Quest glitches/bugs... Only time will tell I guess.... Also great videos man! Keep up the great work and content!
Thanks for the kind words and support. Definitely right there with you in terms of some confusion. Fallout 4 which was their last single player game did have a lot of glitches for it patched, maybe even the majority or at least those that allowed you to get a ton of caps, items, etc. Still though, some and including related to those things remain even to this day. They were well known about during the time of the game still being supported as well, maybe even prior to the last DLCs that released. Regardless, how they see and go about this stuff can change at any point anyway obviously. So while they may have only cared X amount in the past, maybe now they care 100%. I'd love to be able to know how they think when it comes to this stuff and why they do exactly what they do, how quickly, etc.

Yeah I have to imagine there are multiple objectively more problematic glitches, bugs, issues, etc than what the vendor chests were considered to be lol. I expected them to get fixed, but I figured we'd see more meaningful changes and fixes first given you'd expect those to be the priority.

Glad I got in while it was available. For whatever reason Bethesda likes to remove the fun from their games. Can't say I'm surprised 😢
Was fun while it lasted and I'm not at all surprised by them getting fixed, but rather just how quickly they did. I figured we'd have at least another week or 2 while they worked on things they mentioned last week. I guess either fixing the chests was easy enough that they could put it in this update with no issues and so thought why not, or they felt for whatever reason it was a big enough "issue" that it had to be addressed ASAP.

Didn't think they'd fix the vendor glitch. After all, ALL of their games has some sort of vendor glitch. It's what they are known for. Oh well, console commands for the win. I guess? Lol.
All of their games have glitches, but for them to fix them isn't anything new. Fallout 4 had many glitches including involving vendors and the majority were fixed. As someone that covered all of them during my time of playing and even found multiple of them, I know this all too well first hand. So yeah this isn't a big surprise to me, but I can understand it being to many others.
@DemonAsylum true, they did fix most of them. What surprises me the most is they fixed all of them on here. Wish we could invest with vendors.

Yeah I'll be curious to see moving forward how many more glitches they stay on top of as well as how quickly. That will be the truly interesting thing imo. It's a single player game, but they also obviously don't want it to have these glitches. With that, will they let some slide for whatever reason? Try to tackle them all? What will they prioritize them as and in turn how quickly will they fix them? I'd love to be in the mind of them to know how they see and go about some of this stuff as well as why.

You mean the star station glitch I mentioned? Any star station should work and I'll be doing a video soon though you can of course look elsewhere in the meantime.

Very true, you could always do console commands and then delete the file for it or whatever so you can still get achievements too. You can then cloud save across to your console as well if you want. Still, I agree that there are no doubt many things way more important, high priority, and that are actually providing a more general negative effect towards the game versus these vendor chests.

I thankfully do enjoy the game, but yeah it always sucks to see glitches like this in single player games that aren't hurting anyone getting patched and also before multiple other no doubt more problematic things getting addressed.
@@DemonAsylum Having pronouns & gender swapping characters in a game isn't a glitch. Its virtue signalling to "modern audiences" its pathetic & cringe, the games story also sucks may be the laziest Bethesda has done.
