i play with wasd and im a lefty (and no i dont play like a right handed person i use my right hand for wasd and left hand for mouse) (wich btw is a right handed one)
Splatink yeah me too I have the exact same set up that’s why I want to new mouse cause I hate my right hand led mouse but I’m just used to using WASD been doing it my whole life so I change
I feel bad reading these comments as a righty..... I searched up a video on this after the thought of how left handed gamers play. Now I know the unfortunate truth for you guys and I feel sorry. No one chooses what their dominant hand is but yet the gaming companies dont cater for it. Most likely cause they think they wont sell well. I hope you all find the buttons and key binds to suit you best ✌🏻
UnlockingSnow73 I abandoned pc gaming when I was younger for console just because the controls were more lefty friendly. Trying to switch back of late, struggling
You can learn to play with your non dominant hand. I'm right handed, and my aiming skill is exceptional with my right hand, but I chose to play with my left hand. The reason why I chose to play with my left hand was because my right hand was too dominant in every day tasks and my left hand was too useless at every besides holding movements (like holding a the "w" button to walk forward). At first, it was a complete mess trying to aim with my left hand and I would usually miss enemies that are right in front of me. But now I can hit moving targets pretty easily. My only challenge now is learning to shoot while strafing from side to side.
I'm left handed but growing up i was seeing my friends playing WASD and using their mouse with their right hand so when i started playing games i used that and I'm pretty good with it, holding a mouse with my left hand is so strangd
As a left handed gamer ever time I play a PC game I spend 30 minutes looking at the keybinding then remapping them. Then try and play the game just to realize that I still need to change some of them a few more times before I am comfortable.
Just found this video in 2019. My friends constantly joke around about my key bindings. I use IJKL for my movement keys, mainly because it feels more natural for me to use the home row. For shooters, typically use 7 through = for weapon selection and [ for interact. One thing that I've recently discovered with my Razer software is the HyperShift which allows you to map out a function key which allows you to reuse keys when it is pressed. This has helped a lot with Arma 3 and games that require tons of key binding.
I never use WASD, i use the number pad, which has the keys aligned instead of the W being off. I then use the down or left arrow as the jump button (WASD's spacebar). This makes so much sense to the point where I say that everyone should be using the mouse with their left hand. It still allows you to hold a pen/pencil in your right.
@@kevinroman5973 the issue is i cannot buy these special stuff it's just not in my budget so im stuck with right handed stuff i assume it's just not destined for me to game with mouse and keyboards 🥺😐
no you just naturally learned how to use your right, being most things are made for right handed ppl. same w me i feel it weird lefties using left hand for gaming tbh. they def went through all the struggles of living in a right dominate world so most lefties are ambidextrous i feel anyways maybe we are weird.
You could buy a little like 12 key numpad thing where every button is fully programmable. And then you'd have all the keys you want around it, its small so you could position it comfortably. It would take a little time to adjust to but would be much better in the long run.
I am a left handed PC gamer, I use the neutral mouse, it doesn't have a specific hand for use, and I still play on WASD. I get looks when I play in a place in my town where there is about 20 PC's, and it's like you pay and get to play on those PC's for a time you purchase.
Massive respect to you man! You have to respect a fellow leftie. Pro tip that i have been using for about 3 years is to get away from the habit of playing with the arrow keys but to instead to try to switch to the "I,J,K,L" keys. Really hard in the begining to get used to but after a while it will be so much easier and the bennefits of having easy acces to a lot of bindable keys is massive.
Lefty here. I played Fortnite for the first time the other day and it was a disaster. The Division isn't too bad, but I've rebound all keys with lots of playtime to test. Like Delete key for reload and Page Down for use, using arrow keys for movement, left shift for sprint etc etc. WASD just doesn't work that great for me. Thanks for the video, very timely for me as I've been wondering how other left-handed players use their keyboards.
Great video. I'm leftie as well. The situation differs from game to game. Single-player doesn't matter that much. Not perfect but not an issue either. Multi-player and fast-paced is an issue. We are at a disadvantage. Interestingly, we are better off for some keys. The arrow keys are laid out symmetrically, are large enough and you're unlikely to misclick. There aren't other keys too close by. To the left you have a nice big control key that I use for JUMP. Right Shift right above is usually SPRINT. Enter key, easily accessible and very large is used very often for INTERACT/USE, etc. Space is not too far away, you just need to move your hand a bit to the left and then back, but it's not a key you'll miss. You can bind this to whatever is routinely used. To right, we have Number pad 0 or Insert when numlock is off. I use it for CROUCH; and right of that is ' or Delete, which I use for PRONE, if it's available as an action. It's harder to accurately press with your pinky, unlike Ins key. The convenience ends there, as many other keybinds are either faraway and/or too tightly packed close together. For classic number keys you have to move your hand, without looking at the KB for too long, press, and then move all the way back to cursor keys. If numpad is off, then delete key above cursor keys conflicts with the one in the numpad. In pubg mobile, which I play through an emulator, this is a huge problem. I want to bind lean keys to Delete and Page Down, but can't. Lean has to be used very quickly and you shouldn't be looking at your KB in order to press it. It puts you at a great disadvantage in pubg. The official emulator won't recognize mouse middle-click, which is pathetic. I almost always use that for RELOAD. Using space is slower and less responsive/immediate; again, another disadvantage. Since we have been using cursor keys since forever for pretty much anything, muscle-memory has been ingrained, and it is very difficult to fully retrain it for some other setup. The only solution is key rebinding software. You can do marvelous things with it. For example, lean is normally Q and E, right? rebind del and page down to q and e. Rebinding mouse middle-click to R or space or whatever is RELOAD also works. This is rebinding is usually needed for games that are stupidly designed and do not allow proper key binding. I found a program by ATNSOFT called Key Manager. It's expensive for my purposes, but extremely effective. It rebinds instantly, no restarts, you can pause/unpause or exit the program so that it is no longer in effect. It allows for mouse binding to keyboard (The middle-clck for reload example above). You can make profiles for multiple games, and just choose the profile for that game. I truly recommend this program. It allows for Macro functions, which can be quite intricate, but I never fiddled around with them.
yo finally some like me try to mirror the keybinds on the keyboard. ie I use p to move forward, L to move, ' to move right, ; to move backwards, o to lean left, [ to llean right. try it you will be able to play all games as good as a right handed gamer.
try to redo your keybidings to fit i j k l, because then you can use all the other buttons around the movement buttons unlike the uncomfortable arrow keys
I grew up using left hand mouse and right hand arrow keys. I still remember my button layouts but I made the switch to use right hand WASD and I've been gaming the same ever since. At first I didn't like using WASD cause of muscle memory of using arrow keys for so long but it's natural for me now. Oh and I'm right handed irl.
Johnny how long did it take for you to get comfortable with the keybinds after the switch? I’ve been planning to do the same but am kind of unsure of it
I don't remember. All I know is that a lot of games weren't compatible for arrow keys (at least for me) so I said fuck it and reverted everything back to default and stuck with it.
Yeah me too. I feel like its something we naturally do and I truly believe you have to be taught to use left handed mouse even as a left handed person. Idk maybe its because I was so used to seeing my family because I'm one of 2 left handed people including aunts, uncles, and cousins, and I have always used "right handed" mice
After an RSI injury I began being dominant with my left hand. It was hard some games just don't have any easy work around even if you move the whole keyboard to use wasd. Things like pressing the space buttons or other keys that would be easier just don't work.
you cant even find this mouse anymore. i've been looking for a new left handed gaming mouse for the longest time... i reached out to Razer like 10 times. and nothing..
I'm also a left handed PC gamer but I have no problem playing with WASD. I just tilt the keyboard and use my thumb for shift and ctrl while my pinky for the space bar. I've also don't really have any issues pressing buttons around WASD like the number keys for example. The real issue for me is finding a large wireless mouse for left handed people. I use the GPX Superlight right now but that mouse is designed for right handed people, so I can't really use the side buttons. Also I shoot with my middle finger instead of my index, basically M1 and M2 aren't inverted.
Mass Effect 2 on PC did not let you rebind the keys so I had to go in to the Lua file and manually change the keys to what I use. (NUM PAD and the surrounding keys.)
as a left hander it takes long to get used to being a right hander cuz i use my point and middle on the lmb playing geometry dash and i use WASD to move around and if i play minecraft that uses up 9 inventory space i can missclick cuz i press e, hover the cursor to that object, and press a number button to move to that spot (i have fast stamina changing items) and if iplay geometry dash i would decide if i wanna change the primary mouse to RMB so i can use my pointy instead of my middle or i find another way to change my positioning by putting all other fingers hanging on the left side of the mouse and my middle on the LMB and my thumb on the other side might aswell practice now
I am left handed and play with wasd i dont understand why people think it is weird. Playing with wasd while left handed doesnt mean that your hands are very close together. My hands arent close together
Here's the thing. I'm a lefty, but I use my right hand when using the mouse. It doesn't feel too bad, but still feels kinda weird. It doesn't feel as good as it is when the mouse is on my left hand. However, my aims sucks when I put the mouse in my left hand. So I just stay with the right. I click faster with the mouse in my left compared to my right as well
I use wasd and just rebind most keys using caps locks, tab, shift, tilde as function keys and rebind windows key through software to be ins so all the bottoms keys are functional as well. I use left handed side buttons to sprint and hold breath in games like pubg.
the worst thing is to remap the keys. like using the numpad and delete page up and down for basic actions instead of w a s d. it feels good to be different being left handed, but when it comes to gaming it is a pain in the ass.
Thats why you should buy a programable 60% keyboard and usr as a gamepad. I use the vortex pok3r rgb and have everything remapped within the board, tskes about 10min and no software needed. I even swap the keycaps to be accurate if i need to find a key i dont use alot. Also the rgb helps sorting out types of keys like movement, healing, weapons etc etc.
Im right handed but always play the mouse with my left hand. Back when I was a kid my brother who is left handed did put the mouse on the left and I just did get used to it playing NOLF 2 and such Are I the only one here with this weird situation ?
Seff Bergkamp dude same but my father raised me this way, iv been using arrow keys my whole life literally, and got to supreme in csgo and a few other high ranks in other games, I like it cus I surprise tf outta ppl when I tell em and that I did better than them
I am left handed and i use my right hand on wasd ... i use my thumb on cntrl or shift basicaly both or i curl it in to hit the space bar. If i need to hit the space bar and cntrl or shift i would use my index on shift or cntrl and thumb on space bar, and if i need ti keep moving i re adjudt my fingers on wasd to have ring finger on W and pinky on d and middle finger on a tempr until im done using the space bar with cntrl or shift. Then i re adjust back to have index on A and middle finger on W and ring finger on D. And sometime i use the pinky for F or i judt extend my ring finger to f when needed.
Im not even left handed, but my dad is and so he put the mouse on the left and little me didnt know better. I play using O, k, l and ö (ö on german keyboards is right of l) you could use i, j, k and l also. The advantage of this is, that you can just mirror the wasd keybinds Edit: I did radically change from the arrow keys as well (pressing space was hurting my hand) and i managed it after a few hours.
im lefty too, im using a zowie fk2 mouse rn. Its symmetrical. All the zowie FK and ZA series can be used for lefties too. Eech of them has 3 sizes. There 2x2 side buttons and you use only 1 side after you choose right or left handed option. As for the keyboard... im using for a long time a logitech G13 gamepad, its pretty good for lefties. Its symmetrical, keys ar programable and you can save you profiles and load them after a windows install. This is what i hated every time i reinstalled windows. I play lot of games and it was a big amount of time reset every game. Hope i could help yall.
can you please answer one question for me? Over time, did you feel the mouse with your right hand better with the time of playing with your right hand?
@@alexey_pryadko I dont really understand your question but. Ive always used my right hand on my mouse, ive never tried with my left. I think I remember sometimes when I wanted to draw like a word or letters in microsoft paint I used my left hand because it felt more accurate. Edit: I could do more subtle corrections with my left hand probably because thats the hand I use to write tho
Tbh I'm just looking at this because i wanna eventually develop my left hand to be as dextrous as my right hand. Don't want carpal tunnel at 45 so imma just switch hands lmao
It's kinda weird, seeing and reading on how other left handed people play with keypad/arrowkeys. I use my right hand on wasd and shift anything that feels awkward to the left.
I'm left handed gamer, and I use TFGH for movement. This is very comfortable for me as I can still hit spacebar and have so many keys around to play with such as J to crouch or D to walk/Sprint. Now for numbers to quick switch I guess you could try binding 678 but I got used to scroll wheel no problem.
The way I’ve done it is that I’ve mirrored the default keybinds with p,l,semicolon and apostrophe instead of wasd and based the rest around it this way it’s way easier
I’m left handed and I use the right side of the keyboard. Instead of wsad, I use ijkl and mirror wsad on the right side of the keyboard. It works for me.
Im right handed and i use a naga as well. I use all the buttons on it for most games such as pubg and fortnite even though im right handed. I find it uncomfortable to move my finger to hit a different key when my fingers are placed on WASD. its the same thing with hitting 12345. the only other keys i use semi comfortably are e and r.
im left handed and have been playing with wasd and mouse in my right hand it always feels like its wrong but i didnt really think to much of it till now
I have always used wasd but what I do to not feel like my arm or hand feels discomfort if I am gaming for a long time, I move the keyboard so that it feels more naturally while gaming and for keybinding I use the normal only making slight changes to the extra ones like the push to talk key is v for me instead of t for example.
Hey man, great video! Have you ever tried using the numpad? I use 2,4,6,8: move, 1: reload, 3: inventory, 9: interact, 5: crouch, 7: lock target, +: sprint and the arrow keys, /, *, -, and page up/down, home, end, insert, delete for other abilities in MMOs like WoW. Also I programmed my mouse 4 and 5 to control and alt so if I hold one down it modifies what everything else does. Again nice video man, cheers :)
so im left hand dominant but i play right hand mouse and im around plat to diamond skill on most competitive games i play i would like to go pro and i was just wondering if switching to left hand mouse would make me beter
I'm left-handed and I have grown up using the mouse in my right hand. It was really hard to me to get used to the right hand and I just don't have the precision that most players have in shooter or moba games (but still I can handle myself pretty well), but I'm seriously thinking about changing hands and try to train my left hand too. Maybe I can improve myself way more in gaming if I do that.
im left handed and ive learned to use a standard mouse and keyboard in school it was awful learning to type the right way and they tried to make me right handed but i just couldnt do it but my aiming isnt that good since i have to use my right hand i wish they made left handed keyboards and mouses more
I’m left handed and been using WASD my whole life, finally planning on switching, it’s too much of a pain to use WASD, still haven’t found a comfortable way to press space
I use "IJKL" for playing but I think im gonna start playing with "OKL;" because I can press the Alt and Shift key. Also have the Enter key that work like the Tab key.
As a left hander I am good with gaming with my left hand but looking around with the mouse using my right hand gets annoying the way how my arm and elbow feel stale sometimes
That is interesting. I am look at buying a left handed mouse to play DayZ as I am awful at coordinating my fingers. I wonder if it would help even to have a left handed mouse for it..?
Im left handed but i just use my right hand for mouse, its fine but sometimes when doing precise movements and drawing i just want to use my left hand but i cant
Ok look when I was in school I had trouble on the computer I kept putting my mouse on the left side of the table and people kept saying it was wrong so it was the only major right thing I know how to do
lol im right handed and also used the arrow keys and mouse with left hand because i was raised that way my rents are left handed so its really hard to change now i click with my middle finger and right click with my pointer finger i wish i could just use WASD but it would be staring over and every time i try i always go back to what im used to :/
I'm naturally right handed but left eye dominant. Switched to left hand in FPS and still far from the skill I have as a right hand user. One thing I noticed was I could easily focus and track target's movement with left hand.
I've been in DAYZ left handed now for a cpl of months n this is THE closest I've come to finding a left handed set up. My own findings have got me to use an ambidextrous mouse and the arrow keys and surrounding keys to play DAYZ but as said there's some keys u just have to get used too like G to drop stuff and F to melee etx but I rarely use them n might try to swap em...thanks for the video I picked up a few more key bindings :)
This video was put up 3 years ago, so I doubt I'll get much out of this but here I go anyway. I'm in my 50s, spent 50+ years being left-handed, got my first PC in the mid 90s, haven't spent much real time playing games on my PC, use a right-handed mouse with my left hand, and want to figure out how to get online on twitch and play games like GTA V and Among Us, but I am absolutely and totally lost. I am extremely left-handed, so even though I've played some games with wasd and my laptop's trackpad with my right hand, I cannot ever at all use a mouse with my right hand. I cannot use the trackpad with my left hand for some reason, but I cannot at all use a mouse with my right hand. So wasd is useless if I want to actually play online games with any level of skill (and I'm looking at GTA V RP, so I don't want to have to play like a character with cerebral palsy, which is what I think I'd have to claim as a left-handed wasd player). I really, really need lots of help.
I'm left handed but play with my right hand, although when I was much younger I used to play WoW with the arrow keys and left handed mouse. I've tried it to this day and its almost impossible for me to play with my left hand on mouse.
Im left handed but i just can’t use a mouse in my left hand. It is so extremely uncomfortable i’ll never understand how some people use a mouse that way
Theres an easy solution. Buy yourself a Vortex pok3r RGB keyboard, its a 60% sized so it works great as a gamepad. You can also remap all keys the keys as you see fit within the keyboard itself in 10minutes without installing any software, the profiles are also stored within it so its plug and play on any computer. The RGB lighting helps out to sort different types of keys, like movement, weapons etc. And if remove the keycaps and place them to your new layout, it will easier to find the keys not used so often. My setup is ASWD moved to DFRG and shift is where B is on default. And then the whole bottom row is basically mirrored From V to Left side shift
the thing is, im lefty and i play on a laptop, ive recently wanted to get a pc but all the keyboards arent like the laptop keyboard. on my laptop the shift key is right above the arrow keys and on regular keyboards it has a space above it. the reason this is so important is cuz the shift key for me is to sprint. anyone know any keyboards that have the shift key above the arrow keys? if so link me it.
Okay.... so I bought several of the 2014 Lefty Nagas, and my last one is wearing out. Real talk... what are you using now that Razer has quit production on the lefty naga? My key bindings sound a LOT like yours.
I know it's an old video, but why not basically mirror WASD? That's what I do as a fellow sinister lefty. I use IJKL to move and adjacent keys for other functions.
im left handed and have learnt how to play and type right-handed from a very young age know im basically right handed as i also use my knife and fork right handed.
Lefty here as well - and looking for the best solution. (if you are lefthanded but use your mouse in the right hand with left hand on the WASD, then you are 'right handed' in my eyes). One of the main problems that people seem to not understand is that some games simply does not allow you to rebind certain keys. If I cannot rebind right-control, or numpad0, the game is near-unplayable. The same if certain functions are hardcoded on the left side of the keyboard (like shift-clicking stuff in inventories, sometimes only work with left shift). The naga mouse looks interesting, but I have never been comfortable clicking the side of the mouse with my thumb. I have a very light claw-like grip that is angled across the mouse, so my left index finger is typically pressing both right and left buttons. I've tried the lefthanded deathadder, but I never got my hand straight across the mouse, so I'm using light ambidextrous mice. (Abyssus V2 these days) What really got me excited (and my wallet sad) is the Ergodox keyboard. I can see myself basically reprogramming it to mimic the left side of a keyboard mirrored. That way, you can use WASD, not worry about spending hours rebinding keys when trying out a new game. and the thumb cluster looks incredibly useful. Are there any lefties out there doing that?
I'm a lefty (contrary to your opinion), but mouse with my right hand. I have an ergodox and can tell you that if you want to create a layer and rebind everything, it's not hard to do. I think default bindings in most games are bad anyway, so I don't really see the concern with changing keybinds for everything since that's what I do. To each their own though. You might read though www.massdrop.com/buy/infinity-ergodox/talk#discussions and see if you can find anyone that has an extra PCB. Massdrop really messed up the last ergodox drop and a bunch of people ended up with 2 or even 3 right sides of the keyboard. You might be able to find someone who will sell you their extra PCB. You'll probably still need to find a case for it though.
I actually went and bought the ergodox directly. It arrived within 2 weeks and my experience has been good. I've remapped it so the right keypad is basically a mirror image of wasd (except not swapping A, D, and Q, E) - Id say, the hardest part for me right now is trying to relearn my pinky and thumb. My pinky has always been my jump key (numpad0), and my thumb would generally be holding right control for sneak/crouch. Another hard part is getting used to the number hotkeys being so close. It is very akward still to get my ringfinger to jump up, press the 1 key and then find home again. And you are fine playing the 'rightie' way - I'm just too old to relearn myself (40+). I've tried to do it, but after two weeks it still feels really akward.
This was an interesting watch. I'm also a lefty, one who uses a vertical mouse (which I don't actually recommend for gaming) and my setup is completely different to the one you described. Whenever I play a first person game in general, (like Gmod, Minecraft, what have you) my binding is basically WASD flipped. P L ; ', with O and [ as my menuing, and ZXC instead of , . / for anything extra, \ instead of Tab, Right Shift (obviously) and Enter instead of Caps. So far, it's worked really well. My only issue is the fact that I have to bind this for EVERY game I play for the first time.
I'm a lefty. I always have been. But I've always seen it to be far easier for me to use my right when gaming. I think It's because when I was around 4 years old, we had a PC, that I was allowed to use, and the mouse was always on the right-hand side, and I got used to it, and it seemed normal for me to keep it that way, and use W,A,S,D when I started PC gaming. I also play right-handed guitar, and I'm one of the best in school at it. Weird.
Hi there! I'm a lefty too, and I'm using a Logitech G13. ( for professional work mostly ) It's got fully customizable macro buttons, with three layers/running app. It was a gotsent to me :)
This was well put together Fatal. I had an idea of how you game left handed before. But now seeing it, it looks so awkward as a wasd user. The struggle is real with key bindings as well! Should do a keyboard and mouse side cam one day on your stream, be cool to watch
Interesting. Im lefty dominant but always played games right handed. I was late in pc gaming and really improved my skills with a mouse but i always wonder if i would have been a god if i went lefty.

@@kevinroman5973 the issue is i cannot buy these special stuff it's just not in my budget
so im stuck with right handed stuff
i assume it's just not destined for me to game with mouse and keyboards 🥺😐
weird, im left handed and i hold my mouse in my right hand and use wasd like a right handed person, is that weird considering im a leftie ?
no you just naturally learned how to use your right, being most things are made for right handed ppl. same w me i feel it weird lefties using left hand for gaming tbh. they def went through all the struggles of living in a right dominate world so most lefties are ambidextrous i feel anyways maybe we are weird.
John Huff yeah i didn’t even try to play with a left hand
@Furry Draws Same! I learnt today that other left handed people dont use normal controls.
no it isnt. my dad is left handed so he writes with left but does stuff like playing guitar right handed
Rainbow Dash means ur cross dominant
My wasd is okl; and my 1 is 9 2 is 8 etc sprint is rshift basically just right handed backwards
i have to try that
Using a 60 keyboard would be nice because with numpad and arrows there will be more distance
You could buy a little like 12 key numpad thing where every button is fully programmable. And then you'd have all the keys you want around it, its small so you could position it comfortably. It would take a little time to adjust to but would be much better in the long run.
1:12 flexing that jitter click
no way thats a jitter click. i click faster than that when im normally clicking
PinkBubbleNinja Same here... But I do use "W, A, S, D"
@@RisingLava exactly, me for example use 'IJKL" besides "WASD"
@@alvaroguerrero5559 same, I use IJKL
I searched this up after trying to setup my keyboard and mouse for a lefty
I'm left handed but I always used right handed layout, I kinda suck at aiming in fps games and I'm starting to wonder, should I switch it up?
I would give it a shot if you have the money to spend on the peripherals
It allows for Macro functions, which can be quite intricate, but I never fiddled around with them.
yo finally some like me try to mirror the keybinds on the keyboard. ie I use p to move forward, L to move, ' to move right, ; to move backwards, o to lean left, [ to llean right. try it you will be able to play all games as good as a right handed gamer.
try to redo your keybidings to fit i j k l, because then you can use all the other buttons around the movement buttons unlike the uncomfortable arrow keys
i j k l for movement, gives you tons of close-by key options, also use ur thumb for right-alt. u o h ; n m for abilities. Numbers are awkward.
I reccomend PL:'
All I know is that a lot of games weren't compatible for arrow keys (at least for me) so I said fuck it and reverted everything back to default and stuck with it.
same here, bruh. but im actually left handed :D
seeing people play like this just feels wrong even though im left handed as well i never once thought using the mouse with my left hand
I am left handed but have just come accustomed to using mouse with right hand as I didn’t have access to left hand mouse when first playing.
Back when I was a kid my brother who is left handed did put the mouse on the left and I just did get used to it playing NOLF 2 and such
Are I the only one here with this weird situation ?
That is amazing! How's your aim?
Seff Bergkamp dude same but my father raised me this way, iv been using arrow keys my whole life literally, and got to supreme in csgo and a few other high ranks in other games, I like it cus I surprise tf outta ppl when I tell em and that I did better than them
how about trying wasd by angling the keyboard. I use this setup and hit the spacebar with my palm, shift/ctrl with my thumb and f/g with my pinky
I play using
O, k, l and ö (ö on german keyboards is right of l) you could use i, j, k and l also. The advantage of this is, that you can just mirror the wasd keybinds
Edit: I did radically change from the arrow keys as well (pressing space was hurting my hand) and i managed it after a few hours.
my razer Naga is in bad need of repair, currently held together with tape, I really need to figure out what else to do.!
im lefty too, im using a zowie fk2 mouse rn.
Same here, started gaming before WASD was the standard so I've always just used arrow keys and the surrounding keys.
I'm a lefty to I use the same bonds good to know there's people like me to.
have you ever tried left handed keyboard?
i remapped my numlock n use the 8456..finally switching to my lefty.
It feels much more comfortable..just keyboard movement needs adaptation.
im a lefty but do allot of stuff like gaming with my right hand
can you please answer one question for me? Over time, did you feel the mouse with your right hand better with the time of playing with your right hand?
@@alexey_pryadko I dont really understand your question but. Ive always used my right hand on my mouse, ive never tried with my left. I think I remember sometimes when I wanted to draw like a word or letters in microsoft paint I used my left hand because it felt more accurate.
Edit: I could do more subtle corrections with my left hand probably because thats the hand I use to write tho
Maybe try adapting to the conventional right handed way? Im lefty too but im comfortable with the righthanded way
Tbh I'm just looking at this because i wanna eventually develop my left hand to be as dextrous as my right hand. Don't want carpal tunnel at 45 so imma just switch hands lmao
It's kinda weird, seeing and reading on how other left handed people play with keypad/arrowkeys. I use my right hand on wasd and shift anything that feels awkward to the left.
Im left handed and i played ps4 apex legends for 2 months and i forgot how to usr right or left
Thanks for sharing this. Being left handed I can so much relate to this!
I also play games with my mouse on the left side and redo all key biddings like WASD we'll be OKL; and use my middle finger to left click.
im left handed and ive learned to use a standard mouse and keyboard in school it was awful learning to type the right way and they tried to make me right handed but i just couldnt do it but my aiming isnt that good since i have to use my right hand i wish they made left handed keyboards and mouses more
I’m left handed and been using WASD my whole life, finally planning on switching, it’s too much of a pain to use WASD, still haven’t found a comfortable way to press space
Mirror WASD; use IJKL to move. That makes space comfortable.
Your thumb
@@nugget814 let me just cut off my thumb and re-attach it where my pinkie is, that’s the best idea I’ve heard all week

Ok look when I was in school I had trouble on the computer I kept putting my mouse on the left side of the table and people kept saying it was wrong so it was the only major right thing I know how to do
lol im right handed and also used the arrow keys and mouse with left hand because i was raised that way my rents are left handed so its really hard to change now i click with my middle finger and right click with my pointer finger i wish i could just use WASD but it would be staring over and every time i try i always go back to what im used to :/
Anyone here left handed but grew up using the mouse right handed?
I really, really need lots of help.
tbh, being left handed. I just have adapted to play like a right handed person now. Is that weird?
I'm left handed but play with my right hand, although when I was much younger I used to play WoW with the arrow keys and left handed mouse. I've tried it to this day and its almost impossible for me to play with my left hand on mouse.
Im left handed but i just can’t use a mouse in my left hand. It is so extremely uncomfortable i’ll never understand how some people use a mouse that way
For some reason right-handed controls on games feel better than left-handed control even though I'm left handed
Im a lefty I use the keyboard like a righty but with my right hand . its strange spacebar witj my pinky
Please make another video
I'm so left handed that I didn't even switch my main two mouse buttons in windows mouse properties.
You don’t really have to use the arrow keys you can also use “i j k l” So you can still use the numbers and also use more of the keyboard
I know it's an old video, but why not basically mirror WASD? That's what I do as a fellow sinister lefty. I use IJKL to move and adjacent keys for other functions.
wonder if using IJKL would be similar to WASD
im left handed and have learnt how to play and type right-handed from a very young age know im basically right handed as i also use my knife and fork right handed.
(Abyssus V2 these days)
What really got me excited (and my wallet sad) is the Ergodox keyboard.
Weird.
im left handed but i use a right handed setup just fine. I don't know if its limiting me as a lefty but ive just never seen a lefty setup
I'm left handed but do everything as a right handed person woth a mouse and keyboard
Im lefty and im learning how to use mouse in right hand and how to use wasd and these things
Tbh I use I J K L to move and like U to interact and pretty much the opposite side of the right handed keybinds
Hi there! I'm a lefty too, and I'm using a Logitech G13.
( for professional work mostly )
It's got fully customizable macro buttons, with three layers/running app. It was a gotsent to me :)
This was well put together Fatal. I had an idea of how you game left handed before. But now seeing it, it looks so awkward as a wasd user. The struggle is real with key bindings as well! Should do a keyboard and mouse side cam one day on your stream, be cool to watch
Has anyone mentioned the SteelSeries APEX 300?
How do I make it so it doesn't hurt my arm, after a hour my arm hurts so much, any help?
Interesting. Im lefty dominant but always played games right handed. I was late in pc gaming and really improved my skills with a mouse but i always wonder if i would have been a god if i went lefty.
