Hi Kristian! I improved massively from your goalkeeper tips. Can you make a video about how to balance properly in your set position, because when i face a shot i feel that i'm not properly set when the striker is about to shoot? What do i have to change the hands position, the stance width or the body position? Thank you so much.
Hey buddy. Have you watched this video? ruclips.net/video/PY1oJFuM5qU/видео.html In this video I talk a lot about the set position and your hand position I hope this helps :)
Thanks a lot 🙏 Yes, the power step works in a similar way when diving low. The most important thing is getting down low. I don't know if you have already but this video explains the low dive in great detail: ruclips.net/video/dP8D2VxWjhI/видео.html ☺️
Well, it's basically the same, but instead of launching upwards, you spring downwards. The most important thing about the low dive is to GET LOW before you dive and keep your lower hands as close to the ground as possible.
I normally play in a smaller 7v7 pitch with a much smaller goal. I've noticed that shots come at a relative shorter range and I'm unable to get down low fast enough with my hands and conceding a lot of goals that come in low. My teammates always complain that I should use my feet to save more. Any tips for people playing in smaller fields and goals?
Hey man, great question! On smaller pitches, shots come fast and low, and sometimes using your hands isn’t the quickest option. Your feet can actually be your best friend here! Try these tips: Use your feet: Practice reacting with your legs for low, close shots - it’s faster than going down with your hands. Stay low: Keep a slightly lower stance to react quicker. Read the situation: Try to smother the ball by rushing out before the striker can shoot if he's too close. AND Footwork: Keep training those side-to-side movements. I hope this helps :)
hi when i save shots i sometimes hurt my elbows or wrists (not from diving) do you know what can help prevent that? thank you and keep up your great work.
Hey, thanks for the support! Hurting your elbows and wrists during saves (even without diving) can happen if you're not absorbing the impact properly. A few things might help: Hand positioning: Make sure you're using proper hand technique, like catching with soft hands and cushioning the ball rather than keeping your hands rigid. This helps absorb the impact better. Strength training: Strengthening your wrists and forearms can make a big difference. Doing exercises like wrist curls, grip strengtheners, and forearm stretches will give you more control and support. Wrist supports: Some goalkeepers use wrist wraps or supports for added protection. It might help prevent the strain you’re feeling. Let me know if you try these out!
@@zorororonoa2469 hey ☺️ Of course you can ask. I plan a story line, writen some bulettin points of what I want to cover, so I don't forget anything and then I hit record 😉
Hello! I have a few questions to ask. 1. I bought the Rectrix 1.0 gloves that you use in your videos, and they are perfect. However, can you tell me how to wash it without damaging the latex? 2. Can you recommend me a cheap but good pair of aqua grip gloves? It would also be great if you told me about good glove sites. 3. Can you tell me another pair of gloves you use and like? Some that you either use in videos or matches.
Hey man :) 1. I'm glad you like the gloves. They're the best value-for-money gloves I've ever tried, and I normally use these in training. For cleaning: What I do is wash them after every practice; normally, I just take them with me in the shower and rinse them while talking with the other players, and after that, I hang them up to dry in the dressing room. And when I come back to train the next day, they're nice and moist and perfect for use :) What do you currently do? 2. To be honest, I think "aqua" gloves are just a marketing trick. I don't believe in that stuff. I use the same gloves for rainy and dry days. 3. Yes. Elite Sport is a really good brand. I mostly use them for matches. I'm not really sure what they cost but I don't think they're super cheap. BUT. I also know that Rectrix is working on a more high-end glove, and if they're as good value for money as these are, then I'm really looking forward to trying out those :)
@@GroundGloryGoalkeeping thank you so much for the response. I am wondering about those other pairs (other than rectrix gloves) that you are using in your other videos. Can you tell me the names of them and if they're good?

Diving can be hard on the knees if you’re not using proper technique or protection, but it doesn’t have to hurt! Here’s what you can do to dive safely: Wear Knee Pads: Investing in proper goalkeeper pads can reduce the impact on your knees during dives, especially on harder surfaces, and while you're still working on your technique. Perfect Your Technique: Focus on landing on your side, not directly on your knee. Use your hands and arms to cushion your fall, spreading the impact across your body. Once you feel more comfortable, diving can become a fun and powerful part of your goalkeeping! Keep practicing, and don’t hesitate to reach out for tips on improving your technique. 💪🧤
