techniques explained well. the importance of the top leg which controls the dive, but also the kick-push. I have been teaching kick-push for over 30 years. Good video
Great video in terms of education and demonstration 👏🏽 however I think its definitely worth adding that these techniques are both viable options for balls that are spilled OUT IN FRONT OF, or BACK ACROSS the goalkeeper. The “ROLL” technique (that you notably demonstrate at 2:04) is actually the most common recovery option as MOST balls are parried the same way as our dives, simply by nature of the save - in terms or momentum and hand position. Highlighting this to developing goalkeepers would add further value to your video, as most goalkeepers watching will go away trying to learn the two techniques in the video, completely oblivious to the fact that there is a third option, which is arguably the most important. Just a thought. keep up the great work - brilliant information and demos 👏🏽
Thanks for your feedback! And I agree. This video is missing that aspect... And to be honest, I thought about it but since most goalkeepers are already using the roll technique for every recovery, I kind of wanted to highlight the other two... Thinking back, it might be overdoing it a bit... 🙏 But if you look at some of the overlays, you can see me getting up for balls that are parried in the same direction of my dive. Hey, we're all human but I see what you mean☺️ Awesome feedback!
@@GroundGloryGoalkeeping still a great video with clear information and very well technically executed demonstrations! As a goalkeeper coach, I will be staying tuned to your channel as a learning resource. keep up the good work!
@@esianakazubbynzube2591 exactly. The spin is fantastic, especially if you go in the opposite direction of your dive as your momentum i already leaning that way...
I'll announce the winners in a community post later today. Don't worry 😉 This was already recorded so I couldn't include it without changing the video complete 🙏

The spin is most effective if used correctly
Both techniques are effective (if they're used correctly) 😉 Right?

I’ve twisted my finger, I’ve worked on it for a month but still there is a pain in it
Have you tried tapeing your finger before practice? Twisting fingers as a goalkeeper happens all the time. You can't let it slow down your progress.
+ there are still so many other goalkeeping things that you can do with a twisted finger, fx. gym, mentality, get-up-techniques ☺️
