Yes, that's something we need to change. And you've already made the first step by admitting it. I would start small, f.x. with "good job", "well done", "come again", "man on" and gradually build on from there. On one hand, nobody wants a keeper who doesn't talk at all, but on the other hand, nobody wants a keeper who SHOUT ALL THE TIME especially if it's negative. It's about finding that balance just in between.

Can you make a video on when you is it appropriate to make a fist to deflect or parry balls and when to extend fingers? I haven't seen many videos talking about this when making saves. I also see some keepers clench their fists when landing after making a high dive. Is it to protect the latex? Or is it to protect their fingers?

Hey, I totally get where you're coming from! Mentality is such a big part of goalkeeping. Sometimes, you feel off in the first half, and then suddenly, something clicks after halftime. It’s all about staying focused and not letting those early mistakes get in your head. As for those shots that sneak in through the small gaps, that can be super frustrating! And yeah, good gloves can make a big difference, but it’s all about practice and confidence too. Keep at it, and you’ll start seeing those saves come together! Let me know how it goes, and good luck with getting those gloves!

Well, I'm a 16 year old goalkeeper with 1 and a half year of experience, but I have a very bad habit which is when I dive I don't look at the ball, how to fix that?
The only way to change is to force your body/head/eyes to look at the ball. When you're training, exaggerate it. Keep your eyes LOCKED on the ball. Even when you're warming up. Hey man. Thanks for following this online journey of mine. I appreciate it 🙏 Yeah, diving can be a real pain in the ... This is probably going to be a really, really boring answer. But you just have to train more. Train your diving. Find a soft pitch or even a bed and keep diving until you get the technique right. One thing that helped a lot was to record myself. This way I could look at how I was diving to my better side and then try and do the same to my weaker side. And with your catching. You really shouldn't be depending on your gloves, if I'm being honest. You should be so good at catching that you should be able to catch the ball without any gloves. Did you watch my catching video, btw? There are some great techniques and drills in that video.

That used to be mine too... I promise you, if you start practice is with real purpose, it will improve, just like it did with me. I used to HATE goal kicks... now, it's no problem :) Practice, practice, practice :)
Yeah, very common. There are so many goalkeepers who struggle with their kicking. But like with everything else, it just requires practice (and guidance)
Turf burns can be really frustrating, especially when you're wearing thick clothes and still getting injured. 1) Make sure you're using high-quality gear specifically designed for turf. Not all goalkeeper gear is made the same, and some are better suited for artificial surfaces. 2) You can add extra layers of protection like padded undershirts, compression sleeves, or padded goalkeeper shorts underneath your main gear. 3) Sometimes, the way you dive or slide can increase your risk of getting turf burns. Focus on perfecting your technique to minimize the amount of skin contact with the ground. For example, try to land on your padded areas more consistently. 4) Keeping your skin hydrated can also make a difference. Dry skin is more prone to turf burns... It's hard to eliminate the risk completely, but hopefully some of these strategies can help reduce the chances of getting injured on turf.

Yeah, that's very common. And in training is your time to improve that. Set yourself small goals/target before each training and constantly remind yourself to try and hold on to that ball when ever you can :)
Well, then you give a rebound. I think that you should constantly push yourself, especially in training; if you always take the easy solutions and just push every easy ball away, you're not really developing. Get into the habit of catching the ball... You will drop some but if you don't push yourself in training, you'll never become better :) So, IN TRAINING, go for the catch, it will serve you well in the long run

My worst habit is not jumping high enough and the ball goes in the goal
Is a bad habit (like: CAN you jump higher?) or do you need to work on your jump height?
My worst goalkeeping habit is about the splits.
Hey buddy :) Do you want to become better at the split save or do you go down in a split too early?
how do you do that curve? at min 0:40
@@vuxonex7492 I throw the ball side ways and I use my fingers and hand to spin the ball towards me ☺️
My weakness is kicking 😭😭💔
That used to be mine too... I promise you, if you start practice is with real purpose, it will improve, just like it did with me. I used to HATE goal kicks... now, it's no problem :) Practice, practice, practice :)
@@GroundGloryGoalkeeping thank u so much, btw I'm going on a journey today, we have tournament starting from tomorrow I'll try my best 🥺❤️
My worst is goal kick with the ball in my hands 🥲
Goal kick with your ball in your hands? Hm, you have to explain what you mean :) But I used to HATE goal kicks myself so I can understand you pain :)
Im about to be a goal keeper can you make a video on how to be good at it😅😊
I can, yes... I'll make a super beginner-friendly video soon. Good idea :)

Not catching and kicking
Yeah, very common. There are so many goalkeepers who struggle with their kicking. But like with everything else, it just requires practice (and guidance)
Please help I don t know from wich part of my foot I had to hit thé goalkick

How to not injured on turf like turf burn even with a thick clothes and still injured

My habit is saving the ball instead of catching the ball with my hands
Yeah, that's very common. And in training is your time to improve that. Set yourself small goals/target before each training and constantly remind yourself to try and hold on to that ball when ever you can :)
What happens if you drop the catch or miss the catch?
you get scored on ? what question is that lol
@@pentateuchv yeah but he said you should catch every ball
@@toby597 whats your question man i dont get it
Well, then you give a rebound. I think that you should constantly push yourself, especially in training; if you always take the easy solutions and just push every easy ball away, you're not really developing. Get into the habit of catching the ball... You will drop some but if you don't push yourself in training, you'll never become better :)
So, IN TRAINING, go for the catch, it will serve you well in the long run
hehe :)

Well, sand is a great way to train your explosivity and power. If you switch to a "normal" pitch, you'll already have a great advantage 💪
