if you want to make it a massive base, Efficiency modules and Productivity modules would be a good addition. The productivity would help with resource consumption and efficiency will decrease how much power you need, but neither will decrease the number of machines you need
@IronheadtheFirst I've actually never used efficiency modules much. Doesn't it slow down production? I might be wrong. I can test it out in the lab. I'm working on designing my oil setup right now. That's gonna be a lot of fun 😁. Edit: I'm gonna build a lot of efficiency modules now lol. Yeah tested it out on my red build and completely forgot they don't slow down equipment.
I haven't watched Factorio videos in yonks. RUclips for some reason decided to recommend this.... Damit now I want to see what the hell this thing is going to supply. Here's a quick comment to help boost the algorithm a bit more. I look forward to seeing where this thing goes!
Everyone is making jokes about how many blue circuit belts this comes out to. And unless my math is wrong, the jokes are pretty accurate, this sea of green converts to about 4.13 full blue belts of blue circuits. 124 full red belts of green circuits = 124*30 = 3720 green circuits per second. 1 blue circuit requires 20 green circuits, and 1 blue belt is 45 items/sec, so 1 blue belt of blue circuits needs 45*20=900 green circuits per second, and 3720÷900=4.13 blue belts of blue circuits.
Yeah I had all the figures in a spreadsheet but haven't looked at it in months. Green is needed for other science so I'm gonna have about 90 blue circuits/s so 2 blue belts. I could make more obviously. I am over producing green circuits slightly though.
I had the base design how I wanted it to be. I have a video trying to fix my base design but never got it just right. A friend helped me with the green circuit build that you see. But I used a spreadsheet to see how much I needed for my goal and used the blueprint lab to test everything.
@@Dadbodgaming4 Do you think you can run a 6.7k spm base with no beacons on your computer? I see you are already below 60 fps. Maybe that doesn't concern you? I remember the biggest base I've ever seen was at 4.7 fps, though he reported quitting several times.
@Hedning1390 I know it gets down when I zoom out alot. Fps doesn't bother me that bad unless I start to studder when running lol. I'm not sure about a 6.7k spm base. I would like to try one out and see how it holds up
