Chad may remember. Back in the day Detroit had a pretty hot music scene. We did a couple albums as WEAPONS, and we played the Marquee Club in London England. Chad, and the band The Romantics are really the only ones out of Detroit that ended up with Fame from that era. Chad has grown so much in his drumming ability! Congratulations, Chad! I used to work at a recording studio in LA and remember setting up microphones like inches next to him blasting out beats for warm up. That was a crazy day :) Chad Smith is one of coolest musicians I met during those two years. Funny af, yet a total pro at work. Fun times.

I love this guy! Amazing drummer and humble. He has been a pure influence to my playing for decades now. BTW Chad if you ever need a stand in for Anthony, I have been told by so many here in LA that I am his twin brother!! Lol
It’s amazing how what he does Here is so different than the kind of drumming he does with the chili peppers. This raw display of technical chops is really impressive, but so is the unbelievably tasteful groove that he plays on scar tissue.
