Awesome job! Put a nice edge between that patio and grass man! It makes it look super clean and defines the grass even more. You wont get that slightly taller grass growing at the edge of the patio.
One of the nicest transformations I've seen on youtube great job. I see toward the end of the video you sprayed something down on your lawn what was it. Thanks for posting.
Hey bro now that you have the Allett Kensington, you should get the turf rake ie scarifier cartridge. You won't have to bend down to pick up stuff that will damage your reel mower.
Replaced my cylinder mower when the service and sharpen costs were nearly as much as a new mower. Went with a rorary one next with a rear roller, same stripes and easy to sharpen or replace the blade myself.
Roy Soper I have drum rollers behind both my riding Club Cedet mower and a Ferris fairway reel mower I got for taking it away. Re built the engine myself however had the knifes and blades done professionally for free by a golf course in exchange for being able to use it while theirs was in the shop. When they found out I had rotating dethaching heads for it as well they almost would not return it. We have a deal. They get to use my unit with dethaching heads in exchange for them showing up each late June with the 4 inch deep by 6 inch apart plug aerators. I rent a small tractor rotating broom and a skid steer to clean up the plugs. I top dress with a sand and top soil mix. Over seed and in late July early August my lawns are back in business. Oh this gets done every three years.
ShortCut Lawn I found your video while doing some research on doing exactly what you did in that video. Thinking about filming my DIY yard fixer upper. I'll start in about mid-September when the Temps are milder where I'm from. You gave me some great ideas with these vids. Cheers.

Amazing series.. !! i have a bunch of weeds at the moment. do you think i can follow the same steps or use tenacity first and then dethatch followed by seeding.
Solid work cub fan 🤙two questions. How many times a month you use tenacity to keep weeds away? When is the best time to use fertilizer and how many applications per summer.
Thanks 👍🏼 So far I’ve only used Tenacity as a pre-emergent during seeding/overseeding, I’ve never used it as a regular post emergent weed control, When to fertilize; easy rule to follow is to put it down during the weekend of major US holidays...Memorial Day on may, 4th of July, and Labor Day in early september.
I've never seen a golf course type push mower.. until now. I thought...what is that, a Kirby for the lawn? 🤣 Kirby Scissor Wheels™ Naw, I laugh but my yard is bumpy so...
Awesome. Just done a dethatching and oversees and 4 weeks on its looking good but I found there are a few patches where the compost still is. I covered a thin layer all over and raked in but seed just didn't take. I'm hoping it will grown in but if not I'll have to seed those little patches. Nothing too difficult. Does it sound like I did anything wrong. Seed coverage was all over in both directions and watered twice a day. UK weather rains alot too so not sure if at times it got too much water. One question, when you level does it push all the seed around too or is that not an issue, I guess from the end shots probably not. Like your homemade leveler, gonna make one too. Sorry for the essay. 😀
Essay it was lol,.. sounds like you did everything alright, is it possible that the rain might have washed it out? Did you put down fertilizer when you overseeded? at times fertilizer could prevent the seeds from germinating if put down a little too heavy.

Awesome backyard layout! It looks so good!! Quick question... your planters by the wall/retaining walls ... are they held only by those blocks? Have they held alright during the years?
