      👏GOOD choice. I am getting mine delivered on Wednesday, 12/13/23. At its current price point and feature-packed with unlimited recording, nothing comes close.

      Oh awesome, Happy Birthday!
      I agree - I always greatly appreciate extra informational videos that I can find here on RUclips, and I hope my video helped in some way.
      And fantastic, it's great to hear from viewers around the world (especially from Middle Earth - near and dear to my heart. Hope to visit some day!)
      Good luck with your new camera!

      @@JustJoshinAround Visiting is tricky at present because Jacinda is keeping everyone out! We are sailors, and I will use my camera to shoot and video our journeys, pus our motorbike journeys. Do you have any recommendations for zoom lenses to add to my Panasonic G95? We live in Kerikeri, NZ right on the water. There is fantastic birdlife that I could film from our deck if I had a great zoom lense. Plus, we also need wide angle capability when we are sailing if possible. Any recommendations for extra lenses welcome.

      Hopefully things will improve enough to someday come visit 🙂.
      I don't actually have any recommendations myself - I'm still firmly in the "still learning" category. Though, I did recently purchase a Panasonic 25mm lens on the recommendation of a friendly person who commented on this video, and it's been working beautifully. If you look in the comment section, you'll see the name "Steve H" - I'm guessing if you ask there, you'll get some more qualified help than I could give you haha.
      Either way, thanks again and good luck!

    Now that's one super fantastical magic picture maker you got yourself there JJ. It got me reminiscing of when I was a small lad and procured me a 110 camera from a box of Frosted Flakes. Been a Kellogg's fan boy ever since, thanks Tony T! I was so anxiously wanting to see some ultra close up vids of a multi-layered wood Dagwood being expertly carved in mega extreme close up for my viewing pleasure. And boy golly gee you did not disappoint! Bravo!!

    The handling on the g95 is amazing. I like it better then the g9 since that's a little to large for a m43 camera. There is alot of amazing lenses for this camera too. What's your main lens for RUclips ? 15mm or sigma 16mm ?

    • @JustJoshinAround
      @JustJoshinAround  3 года назад

      Yeah, I really like it, and I'm STILL learning how to use it more effectively/efficiently haha.
      I'd love to explore the use of other different lenses when filming my videos, but so far, I've just been using the 12-60mm lens that came with the. I need to get something a little more wide angle, but I don't want to have any sort of fisheye effect. Any suggestions?

      @@JustJoshinAround for your second lens I would get the Panasonic 25mm 1.7 that's an amazing quick lens that works well in low light. It will even give you nice blurry backgrounds. It about 150 USD. Then I would seek other lower aperture lenses. The least expensive wide angle would be the laowa 9mm or 10mm non fish eye. Those are manual but wide. Those wide angle lenses are good for landscape photography. If you want to get close to 35mm focal length. The Panasonic 14mm, or 15mm. I like the Olympus 17mm. Samyang 12mm 2.0 is a good manual lens. focus peaking on Panasonic works perfect for manual lenses.

      Oh excellent, thank you so much for the recommendations and the help - I'll be sure to look into those options. The vast majority of my projects are about either woodworking or collectible customizations, so sometimes I need to keep a moderate distance between my saws and the camera - either for safety or to sometimes capture the wider angle perspective of a bigger project, and other times I like to get in close to capture the details and try to maintain a good depth of field. So as long as I can accomplish those things with some of these lenses you've mentioned, I'll be very happy.
      Thanks again!

    Nice unboxing Josh! We are thinking of a camera that can record for hours. I think G95 can do that. Btw, where did you bought it, is the 2 batteries included? Link please. 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

    • @JustJoshinAround
      @JustJoshinAround  3 года назад

      Thank you, I appreciate it. And yeah, as far as I've seen, the recording time is only limited by the storage capacity and/or battery life. But that part can be worked around by plugging in power to charge while filming.
      For mine, the camera itself only came with 1 battery, but the retailer added an extra starter kit that included 2 extra batteries - which has been very helpful.
      The store where I bought it serves the greater Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area. I'm not sure about how they handle shipping or things like that, but they definitely have great service. You can find them here - www.premierimagingpgh.com/
      Thanks!

    Amish auto mechanics are overrated. I bought the Lumix G95, too. Most people were pushing Sony, but some really clever creators preferred Panasonic. The price for the features was nice.

    Normally I don’t trust any of these so called video cameras that are in the shape of still picture cameras
    What’s the deal with that all of a sudden

    • @JustJoshinAround
      @JustJoshinAround  3 года назад

      According to my limited knowledge of cameras, you tend to get a nice assortment of features in a (relatively) less expensive package - so, more bang for your buck in buying one of these Mirrorless or even DSLR cameras instead of a more traditional camcorder. Plus it has a great deal of versatility in having changeable lenses.
      But again, that's just what I've read/seen.

    Geesh, after enduring his mundane harangue on picking out the camera, we’re rewarded with a frikking Fast Fwd’g of the Unboxing. Who does that? I think I stopped watching around 03:41. 😠🙄
    Good choice of Camera, Just Jocking 😀👍😂

    • @JustJoshinAround

      Sorry it wasn't for you. I've generally gotten positive feedback about that video, but I can understand your point. I've done a few "unboxings" and I struggle with what speed/coverage to frame the actual unboxing portion - I tend to skip through other people's unboxings to get to key points, but I'm guessing most people don't do that. The preceding commentary was to provide my perspective on my wants for the camera and my level of expertise (which was none), but I agree - I did drone on too long.
      Also, "mundane harangue" might be a good band name haha.
      Thanks for watching (as long as you could) and for the comment
