Very helpful. I just got my F82 brakes upgraded and thought it would be a good time to put braided lines. All went fine until right rear 11mm nut was seized. So I had to leave the rubber line on. I’m going to use your solution with a spinning HEL line. Thanks again.
The lines on my late 2005 130i are still steel, coated (magnetic). Still horribly corroded though.. but just plain old rusted unions, not an aluminium/steel galvanic reaction. Damn uk salt spreading... Not looking forward to the impending subframe swap, but hopefully this tip of yours will help - thanks! Also those Hel lines with the free-spinning ends sound like just the ticket.
Thanks for all your information very useful!! What upgraded hoses do you recommend I have a 2010 335I e90 m sport. I would love to upgrade my calipers and rotors on the front to a larger spec, any recommendations?
That happend my e90. Metal pipe start spinn around , and chut breik. Pipe nut dont start spinn on pipe, and tvist it cut.🤬😵💫😵???? (Sorry my bad english).
I have a question if anyone can help y on the newer cars the brake pedal feels spring and smooth and gets a good bite at the first push down as of my e60 m5 don’t only when I push hard than it get a good bite I change everything and even got a new 4 piston caliper
It sounds like you air in the system or non genuine pads. Non genuine pads usually have a terrible initial bide and feel very spongy. I f the pedal sinks after initial bite, it is usually a sign of air in the system, to solve it, it’s best to perform a software bleeding procedure.
@@Himoutdoors bmw pads are made by various oems such as textar, jurid, pagid, brembo but the compounds are usually expensive to bmw so you if you buy pagid pads for example, in the same fitment, they will be of completely different compound to what you’d get from bmw main dealer.

Wouldn't unwinding the line from the top still vause the pipe to snap? Would be cool to see you undo it.
Very helpful, wish I watched this before I snapped mine 😁
same
same...ugh
Thanks, helpful video! Rather than twisting the calliper, snip the old hoses to remove😊
Good point 🙂, but I don’t like cutting things 🤣
@@vysgarage I’m Israeli so not a problem 😀

They are not sided, so can be used on either side 👍🏻
Hi, do you need to refit the clip if using aftermarket hoses? Thanks
Yes, you should alway retain the clip.

@@vysgarage thanks, and I guess you pay a premium for that secret formula…

@@vysgarage pipes I guess we call them lines. Hoses are the rubber ones. I need to replace my front brake lines
