Lmao the red flashing light on your dash means the security system is active.
Try ,reading the manual. If you ever dropped your key , change the battery in it . That worked for me . And if you ever press the alarm while inside the car than open the door it'll trigger the anti theft system on ya .
i had the same problem a few days ago on a 2013 non autostart 2.4 after changing a alternator, after 2 days of troubleshooting checking fuses, battery, relays, grounds, connections on the battery around the alt etc, i finally pulled off the starter and the car had a bad ign wire to the starter, the yellow small wire was corroded and not getting a good connection, i cleaned and fix the wire and the car is working fine as before 😀
Nice
thank you this helped a lot!
Crank case senser....on the side of the engine 8.00 dollar's.....did one last week
i just had a no crank no start that got worse on cold days in my 200... it was the TIPM, u can get a used TIPM for pretty cheap and replace it yourself... the TIPM or (totally integrated power module) is literally the fuse box under the hood, they designed it like shit and in stead of replacing a $2 relay when one goes out chrysler decided that integrating them into a module on the bottom of the fuse box was a better idea 🤦♂️
Good to know ; thanks for sharing.
mine was doing the same thing
battery/alt later errrr
found it to be connection on battery post where the cable bolts on to
the clamp . cleaned it no problem since
just becouse its tight dosent mean its connected
expensive lesson hope it helps ??
I'll have to check that battery post connection again. Thanks
This has been happening to me for the past 2-3 weeks. Everything lights up but nothing, no crank. After a few tries of turning key over then it starts. I was going to change my starter but then read that it may be the ignition switch. But now I’m reading all these comments and gonna look into that fuse or module some of ya are mentioning and see if that’s it. It’s been happening since it started getting cold where I’m at. Trying to hold on as long as I can.
I finally added another ground wire and it resolve the issue.
its your anti Theft That's why That Red light keeps blinking
If you can help me with my car it’s doing the same thing
It's - 18 here in Notre Dame Indiana and my 2013 Chrysler 200 Touring is doing the same thing! I can turn the key in the ignition the radio lights works fine but won't crank or start. I think it's just the cold. But idk
Mine did it a few times before I finally added the extra ground wire.
Have the battery terminals checked for corrosion and make sure everything is tightened down good.
Also have your battery checked.
Mine would eventually crank but sometimes I’d be sitting there a while wondering how long it would take and if this was the time it was not gonna start again.
Good luck to you.
Once I added the extra ground wire mine has never done it again.
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish thank you gonna try that.
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFish where did you add the extra ground wire ?
Does your car have a kill switch? Check under your dashboard and see if you have this little black key thing. If you do, pull it out and then put it back in. Then try starting it again
teeboogie1976 Thanks for the info, I saw the video about that when this first happened. Mine doesnt have one.
I'm having the same issue except when I turn the key, car starts then dies. However, if I get out, lock and remote start, I can put key in and it stays running.
its the TIPM... the fuse box under the hood... if u replace the TIPM problem solved
Thanks
Did you check if your steering wheel is not locked?
When I added a new ground wire it fixed my problem.
Is there supposed to be a cover on the battery since it is always exposed to mud and water?
It’s been a while since I’ve had that 200 but I thought it had some type of cover or plastic shielding
I think I’m having the same issues I replaced my battery and alternator 6 months ago when the Christmas break was over I got in my car to go to work and it would not start everything comes on lights up but when I try to start it nothing the light don’t go dim so I know it’s not my batter but here recently I tried to start it again now it’s giving me the error msg no fuse we’ve checked my fuses none seem to be blown I’m completely lost don’t know what could be wrong anymore a lot of people are saying I need a starter but would the fuse have something to do with the starter ?
The fuse would not have anything to do with the starter. If you can get an ODB reader that might help with any error codes. Double check the connection cables on the battery to make sure they are tight and secure. Also check for any corrosion around the wires.
This cars electrical seems very finicky.
Once I added an extra ground wire I haven’t had an issue with the car not starting.
Good luck to you. I know how frustrating it can be.
I had a similar issue with my granddaughter’s 2013, she replaced the battery, the started up, but a day later, car wouldn’t started. I was ale to jumpstart her can but as soon
When you start with remote hit the unlock button before you put key in switch
Replace ignition switch electrical part
It was a bad ground
GetOutTheHouseGoFish how did you ever manage to find it?
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFishwhat do you mean
@@danielavila7521 I added an additional ground wire.
I'm having the same damn problem with my Chrysler 300....it won't even remote start
obens gustamas : Check your battery connections and have the battery tested. Mine will do it still every now and then. I added a battery at first but still did it. Then i found some people added an addition ground wire to fix the problem. I did that and it worked for almost a month with no problems then one day did it again. Someone told me to check battery post connections cause its a issue too.
mike4speed3 the battery and connection are good..... All the lights, ac, and radio are working fine.... All windows and moonroof are able to open but the cat just won't start. I'll unplug the battery and see if that'll reset the system
obens gustamas : I would still check battery with voltmeter. Possible starter problem but wont now til you check battery voltage first. might have enough to power other things but not enough current to start car.
Good luck.
I hope you get it fixed.
Crank case senser on the side of the engine....I fix one a week ago...
I am having this problem now!
ChiRaq187 view part 2 of my video about accessing the battery. Check connections on terminals. Have battery checked. Add additional ground wire.

mike4speed3 thanks i just finished watching the second video as soon as i get out of work i will thanks video was very helpful
ChiRaq187 I also just uploaded a video for replacing the cabin air filter and if you start hearing a continuous clicking noise behind the dash its more than likely the AC/Heater actuator and needs replaced. Just did that video fix too. I'm thinking.. what could go wrong next?
I love the car but hate all these little electrical bugs.
good luck to you.
Ahhh i just finished replacing the battery again thanks for the video it was very helpful the car is running good now and ill be sure to check that video out just in case i may need it later . I also love my 200 but man this lil bugs can get annoying.
ChiRaq187 I don't see part 2
I can tell you guys the starter will have u thinking everything else the issue forsure
Mines doing it now as of today just started few days ago
Read the codes see what comes on to fix you can use any kind of obd reader
I have an OBD reader and it wasn’t throwing any codes at the time this was happening.
@@GetOutTheHouseGoFishthis is happening to me now how you fix ?
@@onlyxxotiiz1403 it was sporadic; I finally added another ground wire and didn’t have that issue again.

@@onlyxxotiiz1403 read the other comments too in both videos as to what others have done.
I’ve since traded that car years ago.
Hope this helps to get you running again.
Good luck.
Changed my starter and started right up...
killed two batteries replace ground wires and alternator none of that worked I guess the starter will kill your battery
Glad you got it going 👍
Mine did this and it was the map sensor
Chryslers Piece of chead....always electric problem...always had a recall...production,production,production....and they do lot of chead
I have the same issue with mine, I have to unlock and lock it with the remote several times, sometimes unlock it manually at the door, but after doing this a few times it starts right up.
Jenn Rice Check those battery terminals for corrosion and also have the battery tested. Good luck on getting it resolved.
mike4speed3 I have. Everything was fine and the dealership couldn't figure it out either
Jenn Rice i added an extra ground wire and that seems to of resolved the problem for now. I have a link in the comments and description of how I did it.
Good luck.
im having this same problem with my crysler 200 2013🤔
Ur starter bro
TOTALLY INTERGRATED POWER MODEL...
Take it to a mechanic u none mechanically inclined person BC its definitely not the battery probably a computer problem or a sensor and unfortunately I have learned it from experience so enjoy my joke n don't get mad if not seek a mechanic BC they r plotting to keep your money in their pocket by making u take it to a certified mechanic
Haha good one but the extra ground wire fixed the problem. Been running great ever since.
You got the v6 or the 4
