Back to regular content, and back to finishing this thing. lol
Man, am i ever glad that you're posting new content again ! Honestly, the best vw (1.8t) channel on youtube ! Alta , CA
agreed
Absolutely, by far the best
Nice, I remember the days when your MK1 was a fresh build and you were trying to make 400whp, you’ve come a long way, can’t wait to see what it’ll run
Thanks, ended up making 500whp in the mk1 was dicey at that power so I started doing the AWD swap in it and then the drag car ate all my money. Lol
Watching from Idaho! This is some of the best straight forward content on RUclips! Keep it up! Hope you get a awd dyno someday!
I like your coil pack bracket. When I start/drive my #1 coil pack pops up just enough to bug. Congratulations!
That's temporary, hopefully. Because of this engine/valve cover the coils were never meant for it so the part that holds them in the valve cover typically needed to be cut off. New valve cover I will be machining it to fit them.
The Denso packs I'm using are off of a Suzuki Hayabusa. They fit pretty well but, are a bit too short, requiring spark plug extenders. Only issue has been slight movement of #1 that bugs. Looking forward to those cam/timing specs. Thanks guys@@COMotorsports
@@samdemond1 watch the engine build they're in there.
Thank you for answering my questions.
❤️ Thanks we appreciate the support.
This channel is where i learned how to fix my mk4 gti
Great update gents!!
The car looks awesome, colors look great can't wait to see it all together an at the track.
Love it. Give hope in my build.
It's great to see you guys again. I just picked up a 2004 Audi TT 3.2 for some fun to go with my scirocco 16v.
🎉🎉🎉 amazing tuning
Another great vid. The ingenuity you guys have is top notch. 8 injectors into something thats only fitted for 4?? Insane but f***ing awesome. Thanks for all the info guys. Oh and good job checking them wheels lmaoooo
That's pretty good power out of a 4-banger... good job fellers!
Gonna need to re up on my Hoodie, going with the zip up this time. Thanks again for the content to keep me fired up during the winter.🍻
Gettin there 👊
Love it!
Nice!!
Tdi stuff. Alh ! Pd ! New tdi 5 cylinder stuff! Great work ! Mk3 looks and sounds nasty!
Love your content !! Just wondering, what gearbox are you running ?
Looks like you were spinning on that 30PSI dyno run at about 11 mins
I think you just mentioned that
Because of You guys I'm buying a mk7 gti next week with 40000miles on it and it's defo gonna get modded😊
Get it!
So when youre making more boost and its not making more power, are the IATs going way up as well? Curious if you're keeping an eye on temps before/after the IC?
Great progress. Amazing to see the power output out of such displacement 🎉 .
I have a question on the intake manifold. Is it beneficial to get a bigger plenum ( IE, HPA, RPC motorsport etc) when going on a bigger turbo. This is for a 2L TFSI . Some forums say the plastic is enough, some say billet/aluminium manifolds turn the intake system into a heatsink etc . For 500-600hp crank target, what will be your opinion on aftermarket, bigger plenum manifolds?
I would start looking at intake manifold at 500hp
@@COMotorsports any particular reason why? Boost ? Is it a restrictive factor beyond 500hp?
@@NelsonSakwa Flow for one, strength for two. Also to make that sort of power most require some sort of secondary fueling so W/M or secondary injectors will be required so stock manifold simply isn't ideal for those scenarios.
hello, from Latvia!!!
love your content!!!
i am building abf clone in quattro, just wondering,
what cams you using?
Cat Cams
parametrs, if you can tell?@@COMotorsports
I live in the US with a MK6 GTI. I'm looking into doing a built motor (or getting a crate engine). I saw you guys have a built short block on your website. Do you ship to the US? And what does it come with?
Are you guys going to do a vr6 build or have one in the works
We always have VR builds in the works.
Which Gearbox/Gears are you running?

What CAM position sensor setup is this?
Ive got INA's 1.8T sensor version on my hybrid ABF-T with elite1500 ecu and found you while trolling for sensor setup info...
got my haldex mk1 close to first startup,
Just cant find confirmation of "HOME" wiring for the 1.8T cam sensor
I built it myself. It's covered in the series of what I did.
Im not familiar with vw stuff as yet what engine is this to be holding 1000hp and its single cam
It's 16v cylinder head (dual cam) with a 1.8t bottom end.
@@COMotorsports out of curiosity, why the head swap? Is that head better than the 1.8t head in some way or is it a 1.8t rotating assembly in the 16v block?
I read your other comment and understand why it shows mph. I’m just curious what rpm that turbo starts to kick in at.
I'll put it this way... 6500rpm it only makes 350whp... 8000rpm it makes 1000whp. Lag is sort of irrelevant on these cars. Once boost is built on 2step it never falls during the run due to transmission and never lifting off the throttle. So the only concern with lag is how long it takes to get on 2step, which it does well.
@@COMotorsports what about for the street?
@@DustySteel this isn't a street car lol so not sure if l what you're referring to.
@@COMotorsports so you wouldn’t be able to drive it to races and race? I’m just trying to figure out the correct turbo for my car and my mechanic friend says that anything over a GT28 won’t be streetable. I appreciate you answering.
@@DustySteel look at it lol. Definitely not doing much street driving in the old girl.
When will we see a B5 on the dyno👀
Maybe once I get an awd dyno
Which transmission can withstand such power?
Modified 02A/J
@@COMotorsportsisn't the 02q like the bees knees? Would there be any reason to pick the 02j over 02q
8:37 clayton can you show the dyno results after each run before sticking the camera in his face lmao
Great video loved it good thing I opened RUclips I didn’t get notified for some reason

Happens a lot
Repeat post, let's talk about appropriately sized catch cans and not the tiny tiny badly designed junk most euro makers sell.
Well... to be honest on any OE Turbo'd VW engine most of the decent catch cans are sort of adequate in size as there's great baffling from factory for them so they don't chuck much in the catch can. For NA to Turbo then lots needs to be considered as you can see mine pushes a lot of oil because there's no baffling in the valve cover to prevent the oil from escaping. On the previous setup, and in my MK1 I just ran a drain back to the pan as one or two pulls on the highway it would barf out the filters. So in most race (circuit/drag) applications I will drain back to pan to prevent the chances of overflowing and going under the tires and causing a much worse scenario. On this setup I plan on having a much more elaborate catch can and valve cover so I won't need to worry about puking under tires.
@@COMotorsports I agree, but even with baffles in the head/vc still see a lot of blowby on some engines and as stated..a k04 or smaller will unlikely throw oil like a gt30xx turbo or similar or bigger and running 20-45psi. But, the knowedge of applying an appropriately sized catch can or re-circ setup is severely lacking and it is a good topic to address a lot of silly problems many can't seem to grasp.
@@UngluckInc agreed. Definitely worth talking about. The amount of "I need new valve seals, or my turbos blown" I hear because of PCV related stuff is very high. Lol
@@COMotorsports Exactly, oh no my rings are gone...no..your 6oz catch can on your 30r 2.0l 20v is a mni vacuum to pull oil and water vapor into the engine bay @ 25psi WOT lol. Let's do it.
Why kph instead of rpm on graphs?
It's MPH... and it's just easier to read for you guys more so than anything. If I don't hit the end MPH I have set on the dyno then the dyno records the power on decel and it makes the graph look confusing. (There's a spot in the video where you can see what I'm talking about). We know what we're looking at but folks on the internet typically wouldn't understand so we just make it less confusing for others.
@@COMotorsports yes mph, sorry for typo. Understand you, for ex blue line at 11.56
