Dollywood Summer Celebration! Drone & Fireworks Show, Rides, Bubble Show, Summer Food & More!

- Join us for a HOT, fun summer day at the beautiful and incomparable Dollywood theme park in Pigeon Forge, TN in July 2022 as part of our mega summer road trip (day 3)! Dollywood's summer celebration 2022 is going on that includes limited time special food and drink offerings, special shows and performances, and really cool roadside attractions all over the park! We try some summer food, take in some shows, like the Gazillion Bubble Show, and of course ride some of our favorites like Lightning Rod, Blazing Fury, Firechaser Express, Mystery Mine, Thunderhead, and also see the special summer night time drone and fireworks show - our first time ever seeing a drone show, and of course the classics like the Chapel, Dolly's childhood home and the Calico Schoolhouse! We also hear a tale of a new Big Bear coming to Dollywood in the Spring and show you a fun little way they're promoting something new coming to Dollywood - what appears to be a brand new roller coaster in the works!! I also add in lots of little tips about ride details, what to expect, what kinds of things you can get, bag storage and more as we work through the park. Lots of fun was had and lots of sweat was poured as we partied it up and show you the summer 2022 fun going on at Dollywood!

It was so funny you mentioned people honking at you in the tunnels,they aren’t honking at you. People do it for fun to hear the echo. It’s something we do in the Midwest for some reason. So the next time you’re in any tunnel and you’re in the Midwest it’s OK to honk your horn👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. Have a great rest of your trip!🍻
That's true, but the actual Tennessee reason we honk in tunnels is tradition. We honk to ward off evil spirits and remember people who have died in tunnels. Honking horns in tunnels is a good thing. Be Safe Take Care

It actually stems from way back when people traveled the tight, winding mountain roads, people would honk to make other drivers aware they were coming around the tight, blind curves. I grew up going to the mts every summer and how my mom would do that when we drove thru the Smokies. Back then people were more courtesy drivers and the roads weren't as good as they are today. Some of the tunnels too would only allow one car at a time.
I always thought it was for good luch and to let others know there's a car coming

We go down to Orlando theme parks often, but this is our home theme park. 🦋 Dollywood has an Amazing Fall & Christmas Festival, but Their Summer festival is giving them some competition! Great work Jackie! 👏

If you make it up to make it up to Massachusetts check out old Sturbridge village, and the Plymouth plantation. If you can only do one I would say old Sturbridge village.

When I rode Blazing Fury's twin in Branson MO called "Fire in the Hole" they had a real Dalmatian in the ride station!
Been so excited for this, I love your reverence for Dollywood like the chapel and the Parton home and the Mystery Mine song . Happy your favorite opened for you . The drone show was cool ! Looking forward to the rest of the road trip too my family just loves you we all watch together and even our dogs watch !

Loved the bubble show! My daughter and I were there back in May. Two people gave us their Express Lane passes as they were leaving. Yeehaw! Couldn't ride Lightning Rod. Again chicken!

I need to go to Dollywood. They have so much to offer. I am blown away by everything you experienced. I love the food passes, they were big portions of good. All those roadside attractions looked so cool. The coasters looked like they go really really super fast. I mean I am down but I still get scared. The bubble show was awesome. The drones were spectacular. They have so much going on there. I think I would love to spend at least 2 days there. There was so much packed in this video. Thank you for sharing with us. 😊

We visited Dollywood for the first time this weekend. We loved it! Mystery mine was a great surprise. The park was decorated was Christmas due to the filming of a Dolly Parton Christmas special for NBC

I absolutely LOVE Dollywood! I've been going there off and on since it was Silver Dollar City. Blazing Fury is still my favorite ride there!

Some of the hoses flag poles axes etc. come from a tv show called American pickers they where hired to find some antique fire equipment for grand opening few years ago

I've only been to Dollywood once - when I was in Kindergarten! Definitely need to get there as an adult. It looks gorgeous! Looks like such a fun day, and the fireworks were awesome.

I actually saw THE EXACT SAME bubble show in Dollywood back in the summer of 2011-So glad to find out he still is doing the same Wonderful show! One of the most Pleasant surprises I’ve Ever had at a theme park!
My daughter was sitting on a bench waiting for me to come out of the restroom near Aunt Granny's restaurant. She saw a skunk walk into the shop across from the restaurant and walk out a few minutes later. Then a minute or two after that, the shopkeeper came out and closed the doors. I can't imagine what she was thinking when that skunk was in her shop!!!! Very close to Aunt Granny's, they took a picture of a bear crossing the pathway in the middle of the night and posted it on the news station. So I guess the bears enjoy the park when we're not there!

Jackie you HAVE to go to the Harvest Festival. I went for the first time last year for two days and it was sooooo fun! Save up your money because they have the cutest artists come in with their stuff. I bought a witch cornhusk doll that hangs from the ceiling and it is the most magical and adorable thing. Also, the pumpkin displays will blow your ever-loving mind. And the music. Oh my gosh I want to go now.
There first and second of August.. Didnt get to do everything or see everything. Lightining rod was my first ride I rode too. Spent first few hours just exploring the park, found a locker, stash all my things then just went ride crazy, wild eaglex3 Thunderhead, lightining rod x4, blazing fury.. fire express and mystery mine ride had crazy wait times.. park was awesome!! BIG BEAR,BIG STEEL COASTER COMING NEXT YEAR..
You make me want to go to Dollywood again! It’s been like 20 YEARS since I’ve last been there!!! I LOVE air time so I definitely want to ride Lightning Rod!!!!
Disney has always been our go to vacation site with the kids. Would really like to go to Dollywood soon instead.
@6:08 OMG the salad cup is a larger version of what McDonalds started back in April of 2000 (24 years ago!) called the McSalad Shaker! It was my FAV thing to get for lunch back then! (yes I'm old, lol)
I have NO idea why they stopped serving them as they were a SUPER convenient and non-messy way of having a perfect serving of salad:)

You guys will really enjoy the Pumpkin Luminights festival at Dollywood in the fall as well as Smoky Mountain Christmas at Dollywood. You guys should try the world famous cinnamon bread at the grist mill on your next Dollywood visit. Thank you for another awesome video!

I agree with you about the bins at ride stations and think Universal studios needs to have them. As you know Blackpool Pleasure Beach has ones that rotate for multiple trains I love those.

I'm so glad you got to go back already! We started planning a Dollywood trip after your first Dollywood video. It had never occurred to me before to check how far away it is, and it turned out to be less than five hours from our part of North Carolina. Our trip is coming up in a week and a half, and we will definitely be looking out for that bubble show!

The Gazillion Bubble Show is by far one of the best theme park shows I have ever been to I wish I went to every show and not just the last one. And holy cow I just realized we got the same hat from the smokey mountains!
Also if you went on the train you can see the construction zone and when I went on it the ride op told us there is a chance of us seeing a bear on the ride out
We did and I saw it! And funny about the same hat!

I actually don't know if I showed that part in the vid, the train ride is soooo long and the vid is already long enough so I only showed a few parts like the drones which I thought was really neat. But we saw the footers of the new coaster from the train and also while riding Thunderhead you can see them really clearly!!
That butterfly tree was gorgeous! Makes me want to get some interesting spot lights to shine on the tree I have in my front yard at the very least. The drone show looks like it was a blast.

Dollywood is such an amazing place and a park I deeply love. Please tell me that you got the cinnamon bread. One of life's greatest gifts! I am hoping in future visits you can get to the waterpark. It is so good. Can't way for your next adventure!
I’ve been going to Dollywood since I was a kid in the 80’s. The Blazing Fury is my all time favorite ride anywhere. Love it! So glad you guys enjoy it too 😎

We live in Savannah Ga. We go to Universal and stay at the Hard Rock Hotel each time. We will be there for a week in October. We watch you and Rick Flix. But I have to say, we love your mountain trips so much. We waited in anticipation for this one. Not sure if you have been to STAMPEDE of Dollys. Also Anakesta or the Gatlinburg sky walk is a must do.

Love your videos. Dollywood is my home park. I live about 10 minutes away so my kids and I are there often. If you have a gold pass it can be used as a time-saver with no charge the first hour the park is open.
