Another excellent video Nathan! In order to contribute on this matter, I use a very similar way to correct color. I usually create a new layer changing it into Color mode. I use the eyedropper tool to collect a sample and then I paint over the affected area. Proceeding like this, you can take different samples in different areas in just one layer. It is a good way to correct the ugly orange shadows caused by the flash.
