TY Mike, these vids are important to me. Mentally there helping me through dark times. You and Shawn Ryan helped me greatly. You'll never understand but TY
Thank you Mr. Ritland. Not comparing, but Jocko WIllink and David Goggins have taught me much.
Tough Times Pass , Tough People last .. Chose to be tough ..Stay strong ✌😎
Amen brother. They help me too. Keep ya head up
To all that are in this spot, just remember life is a gift, each day find something that makes you smile or laugh,,, it may be looking at birds, or watching a dog at the park fetching a ball. Anything that makes you smile.
Remember, Life goes on, it always does.
In his" 8 seconds of courage" he distilled the very essense of who he is as a man ,a soldier and a leader ,i hope he realises that though he lost 4 of his brothers he saved 22 men including a future general ,in those 8 seconds he redirected an effective vest from hitting the target ,i suspect the investigation would of shown substancially more devastating loss of life had he and his team not reacted as they did -Damn Mike this interview of the many i have listened too of yours was truely epic .Thank You.
Great interview. This hero is the definition of an American. Thanks for sharing his story with us.
Awesome interview! Mr.Groberg thank you for your service and sacrifice and everything you continue to do to help our troops and their families.
Mike, your podcast and your guest are always outstanding. Your podcast and The Shawn Ryan podcast are the two I always look forward to listening to. Thank you for producing and creating a real podcast with interesting stories that have good perspectives and life lessons.
Read his book in one sitting.Absolutely amazing American 🇺🇸
This is the reason I look forward to my commute to work tomorrow morning.
Men like this protect our country. 🇺🇸
I couldn’t make it through the day without watching a few episodes of Mike Drop it is so uplifting and confidence reaffirming. Thank you for all you do. It would be epic to meet you. I haven’t been in the military but I’ve been held hostages been all over the place and done some interesting things. So I’m like the gum on the bottom of a boot.
Congrats to this wonderful man for mentioning his wife going through IVF.
It's tough to go through but the reward is so great. We got twins.
Good Job Drop. Awesome To See You Guys Talk So Smoothly, Verry Cool! THANK YOU MR. GROBERG + MR. RITLAND. #USA
I love this guy's openness... You can tell he probably has no media training & I LOVE IT! So many people tell these stories but don't open completely up...
These interviews are incredibly important and wildly under viewed. Your sense of humor is fuggin brilliant as well. Thanks, from a shit heel civilian.
I lost my favorite leader David Gray that fateful day. This gave me some closure after 10 years.
Hell yeah man.. great human being as well as highly intelligent thoughts on proactive communication.
Great show as usual. Interesting to hear the point of view from an Officer. When I was serving with 82nd as a young enlisted guy in the Infantry I saw both kinds of new LTs. The ones that came in like him were accepted and trusted almost immediately and greatly respected.
Thank you Mike. Keep doing great things 💪🏻
Yo that penis story legit had me spit my coffee all over the computer. That’s the funniest shit I ever heard.
I love the fact that special ops guys give a platform for conventional troops...One mission; victory!
Great podcast. Flo has a compelling backstory, and is definitely the real deal, from a military leadership standpoint
They give a few here and there. I don't believe America or some of these guys like to admit, but these battles were fought by mostly 20yr olds. The things these special forces guys talk about over their careers are not half of what regular Army, Rangers, and Marines did on a day to day basis. Neither of those battles were going to be one or lost because of the various specialty fighters, Seals, Green Berets, MARSOC Marines. They did great work but held no bearing on the outcome.
@@robbyrobinson4500 green berets won Afghanistan before everyone else came in and lost it.
Super interesting warrior and a humble, really smart guy. Thanks for having him on and great interview.
Outstanding, gents
U got one of the best content out there 👊🏼💪🏼🤙🏼
Mike, another great one . Florent's MOH story is pretty compelling and as usual your style of interviewing is really good .
Keep up the great work Mike, really enjoy these podcasts!
This is now my favorite of your podcasts, thanks!
Thanks Mike for an other great podcast! Thank you for sharing your story.
Thank you. I got a lot out of this, Florent and Mike.
Finally caught one early!! Love the podcast mike. Your interviewing skills are top notch.
Great job Mike! Great guest, humbling story.

What an interesting dude. Thanks Florent Groberg for telling your story. Another Mint MikeDrop episode.
Great interview!
Great episode as always
Awesome 👏🏽 perfect for a strong Sunday 💨 🪴
Kennedy was a great man, friend, teammate. God bless.
Mike, you should really have someone from Border Patrol on. I have a friend who's been with them for 20 years and worked his way up. The true situation with immigration is horrifying. It's unsustainable. You living in TX should know better than most
I like how Flo goes from english into true french when pronouncing french districts etc without blinking, now i know he grew up french but going from 1 pronounciation to another without hesitation is a linguistic skill.
Literally anyone else who speaks a different language does the same exact thing….
You obviously dont speak another language
@@byronbass1370 English German and Dutch.
@@Sarge80 really don’t understand why your impressed by that then. 🍻 no bad feelings, no emotion when typing
@@byronbass1370 He has been in america since early age, to then still keep your accent is amazing to me.
Mad respect sir . one brave soul !!!
such a great interview. TY
Good to hear from a fellow infantryman for a change. Thanks.
Have heard every single podcast. You and Shawn Ryan and fkn killing it bro!
The MikeDrop podcast don’t fukn miss
I can sympathize/empathize with IVF treatments, I've been doing Lovenox everyday for 3 years...
thank you guys - very inspiring - all the best on your pregnancy folks
Thank you Sirs! Shared.
Awesome dude and story.
Awesome way to close out the weekend shipmate
Outstanding podcast
Need more leaders like Flo.
WOW..WHAT A INTERVIEW
Can’t wait to get to work tomorrow, put my ear buds in & finish this podcast, I listened to the first 20 minutes when it dropped. I’m a huge fan of your podcast Mike, you do a great job 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸
Survivors guilt is the worst part of situations like this there is no rhyme or reason to why some people die and you live when by all accounts you shouldn’t have lived.
Can’t wait to dive in. Thank you gentlemen 🙏
Great story 👏 👌 👍
Great guy.
Good episode Mike
Yes, another 👏
Excellent channel 👍
Great episode
This man's optimism is infections.
👍🔥 Much respect from Sweden
Hell yeah
Damn, I'd like to have heard more about his uncle
Yo!!! Finally a cold Chef Boyardee dude!!! Same here. Beefaroni? Cold out of the can. Dinty Moore beef stew? Cold…Never heated an MRE. I was 1st Gen brown bag MRE and that chicken ala king and chicken and rice were epic
Same here. My fav was ham loaf with escalloped potatoes!!
Mike I been a butcher for almost 20 years I know all about being picky! I would recommend U try Snake River Farms American style waygu. The gold grade rib steak is out of this world! Thanks for doin what u do and what u have done! 👌💪🇺🇸
Bro I love how you said notee dame like an American then correctly pronounced it in French. I think French it a hard language but I picked up Spanish really well. It's great to know at least 2 languages.
I know this is a shit statement from me but the fact this guy endorsed Hillary is a big issue.
Can't make everyone happy, beauty of this country is freedom of choice and always supporting POTUS in office
Nice mic boom!
Mike, when’s the Devon Larratt episode dropping? I really enjoyed the Jeff Depatie one too. Cool to learn more about JTF2
I know mike, I comment a lot. But it helps your Channel. I really like this guy also, I'd like to be friends with this guy
We had a SFAT and FET with us in 2012 Northern Afghanistan. Quickest way to get blown up is to listen to them. A separate team got hit just like this story killed 4 just like this I'm literally speeches after hearing this story its dejavu
Nice Paneri Mike!
Keep the interviews coming or im coming for you
Hey mike, are you aware that an AD on youtube is using a bunch of your video footage? It's a product called "hushbark". Saw it and recognized your videos.
Dakota Meyers is a great M.O.H recipient love his book he says he feels the same shame that he couldnt save more of his team mates
it is interesting, you said "i'm there to protect the "boss" ".
Mike: you should get Sean Parnell on here.. he did a 5 + hour pod with Jocko some time ago and it was EPIC.. I think you and your audience would enjoy it
wow .... what a fucking warrior man !!!
Atta boy.
Please get Edward B Byers
Real many pancakes, or flapjacks, not crepes. Sweet and salt is the best, deep fried chicken and waffles with maple syrup Vermont 100% pure maple syrup only which just happens to be the best in the world by the way
Sorry but Canadian maple syrup is by far the best. Vermont? Lmao yeah right pal
Ok guys maple syrup is all the same, stop fighting.
Fuck yes.
Great book. It's not nonfiction but it could be? In fact I thought it was nonfiction until I found out it wasn't
Thé evil of utilizing a child to sacrifice themselves in terms of hate is incredible cowardly!
Last time I was this early, my wife was upset. 🤙
Tell your wife men are talking, and please don’t interrupt. Politely of course
The story about the guy laughing is the same as Dakota Myers story about him bout to shoot the afghan.
1:12:00
Smartest most humble officer I’ve heard
This dudes unit replaced us in Afghanistan. 4th Infantry Division replaced us, 1st Infantry Division in the summer of 2009. I was in the Kunar in Eastern Afghanistan.
nice i replaced viper platoon at vegas in 09
Did he say multi family investment? Is that like buying property and splitting it up into lots?
You should have kept coming a little farther north east instead of staying in the Maryland area you going to come up to Vermont we're very diverse here especially in Burlington you're welcome here brother come check it out
I enjoyed it, but I still feel the need to choke myself.
