In his" 8 seconds of courage" he distilled the very essense of who he is as a man ,a soldier and a leader ,i hope he realises that though he lost 4 of his brothers he saved 22 men including a future general ,in those 8 seconds he redirected an effective vest from hitting the target ,i suspect the investigation would of shown substancially more devastating loss of life had he and his team not reacted as they did -Damn Mike this interview of the many i have listened too of yours was truely epic .Thank You.

They give a few here and there. I don't believe America or some of these guys like to admit, but these battles were fought by mostly 20yr olds. The things these special forces guys talk about over their careers are not half of what regular Army, Rangers, and Marines did on a day to day basis. Neither of those battles were going to be one or lost because of the various specialty fighters, Seals, Green Berets, MARSOC Marines. They did great work but held no bearing on the outcome.
