Appreciate you having us on there Mike, always a pleasure hanging with your tribe. Looking forward to next month.
And a big thanks to you guys for all that you've done and continue to do. I live in Hollyweird, Commiefornia for my career, but I'm from Roanoke originally and I never forget my Virginia roots (my family fought in the Revolutionary War). Praying for you guys and visualizing continued success for you.
These interviews Matter!
Thank you for your service guys.
Dissapointed you guys only train cops. I'm a SOF vet as well but I'm not an elitist with my knowledge. You claimed you are about spreading knowledge but only want to train cops. Meanwhile the citizens are getting their life savings taken by these SAME cops via illegal civil asset seizure just like the Nevada State Troopers and DEA took that retired Marines money in that viral video. Your allegiances clearly lie with the state. I'm sure you will sell plenty of swag and merch though off the SOF brand. Keep the grift going but just know real guys see through the fascade.
Oddly quiet when asked about training civilians. Why the discrimination?
DJ Shipley's interview on Vigilance Elite is freakin unbelievable.
It was insane that just in a few weeks it already hit 1M! That makes shawns most popular video. Now obviously Travis Kennedy episode had a million but that took about 6 or so months for it to reach that. DJs episode is just gonna keep getting views. I feel like and video that says ST6 is gonna get a ton of views.
For real!!
That episode was like crack, I couldn't turn it off. Shawn really hit the nail on the head with the idea of that show in general.
Yeah it was and Mike's was awesome also.
Four hours didn’t seem that long. Shows how good of an interview it was
Just started this one very good
Cole has the eerie calm that says a lot more than words ever could.
Indeed, Cole is a bad dude for sure just really calm and takes in everything
He seems like a hell of a friend to DJ too. I'm sure its mutual and they're like brothers.
Check out the 43:57 mark, the man is zoned for at lease 1min 30sec.
@@Football4life2013 Those are the eyes of a man who's seen some shit
@@Football4life2013 yeah seems like he went somewhere for a minute...crazy stuff
Cole’s eyes tell all… would be dope to hear his story on SRS as well.
There was some pain and intense anger there. However I wish him and all of them peace and happiness. They all deserve it
Cole is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet in your life. Like literally one of the nicest guys I know. You are misreading him trust me.
@@timgobet5404 I'm sure he is. All warriors are humble. Because they know that when the beast is unleashed, its gonna suck to be the other guy. Like Venom in the MCU. Eddie is a humbe dude and when Venom comes out, we all know what's gonna happen
What others have stated is there is some deep rooted pain there.
Yeah he seems like he’s bottling lots of stuff, the way he talks and his eyes yeah he must’ve been good at his job….
@@jhorgos12 Shawn Ryan show. Another Seal that hosted DJ and others on his show.
I enjoyed DJ’s interview on The Shawn Ryan show 💪🏾🇺🇸
The best ever
Dude that interview was the most intense video i watched and listened to, that I actually felt! Awesome
That story he told about 22sas, That they were wearing 🇺🇸 patches was pretty funny 😄 You're right was one of the best interviews I have seen with anybody 👌🇬🇧
@@nickjohnson710 omg that had my laughing so much loved it!!!! Cheers 🍻
I watched the interview twice in 3 days!!! Love it!!!
Had a professor in college tell me something that really stuck to me and I took it into the army. "two dull swords tend to make each other more dull. A sharp and dull sword can go either way. Two sharp swords tend to sharpen each other." Every time I see these guys, and now with Mike, all I can think is how I probably needed guys like this around me.
So well said.
It's amazing how that applies to everything. I was fortunate enough to have have colleagues who were at the top of their game. Everyone was trying to out preform eachother and it only made everyone better.
@@ROB_DEADNOISE
Damn, 17 in BUDS. These guys were chasing bad guys when I was chasing tail. Thanks for your service. Love hearing these stories
If I'm right, DJ was 22 in 2007, which is when Jason Redman got shot. I'm 22 right now and it's honestly surreal to think that he was the same age as me, out in the sandbox getting into firefights.
They were doing that too and probably with more success.
It's cool that DJ and Cole have each other. Everyone deserves a friend that even in complete silence, with only a look, can 110% understand exactly how you are feeling.
1000% 👊 True brothership
Lol is that still the case with all the legal drama? Doubt it 🤷
@@JohnSmithyy365 You mean the legal stuff with Slade ? the original 3rd member of GBRS ?
@@joeyjojojr.shabadoo915 I thought they had beef with Cole but I’m not sure, heard it on Shawn Ryan’s podcast and I don’t understand the drama at all. If you could elaborate I would appreciate it

All three of these dudes are national treasures and legends 🦅🦅🦅
Real men. True Patriots with honor, ethics and decency.

The look in Coles eyes was intense at 42:50. Like for a 5 seconds he’s was searching a room for bad guys. Glad y’all made it out safe. I love the all the knowledge y’all are passing on from your experiences.
It’s almost as if he noticed something in the room that gave him a flashback from a mission possibly? When I look in his eyes it’s almost like he wanted to get up and clear the room. Must be wild what these men deal with mentally day to day.
He looks internally tortured
The vigilance elite podcast with DJ was heavy and intense but totally relatable to a lot of us out here.
Never miss any of these updates. These guys have legit knowledge.
He just wanted that spartan beard to show, cool guy points!
Big time….that two part series with them getting Mike up to speed on the Sig. That was gold.
@@LK-bz9sk ha then I saw a short of Mike in bed showing of his new sig LOL. All solid dudes for sure man.

Love listening and learning from these guys. Would 100% tune into a GBRS podcast.
My father inlaw was in Sharks and Raiders, that generation of Navy Seals in WW2. He was stationed to the USS Horace Bass. I had the honor to have this Great man close in my life for 46 years. He passed at age 94 . Incredible knowledge and skills I learned from his training.
DJ Shipley is definitely Legit AF guy, just a natural humble guy and a great story teller and tells it straight.
These dudes are awesome, they make sick longboards too
that fracture burning they do is fucking sick
Stolen designs
In all the service and hi profile missions Cole and Dj have been involved in their biggest accomplishment and most important mission is what they do for these Gold Star kids!!! The loss of the father/mother will never cease to hurt but to have someone their as a father figure/mentor or just a friend is one of the most important things to these kids and their development!!! You guys are awesome and the work you are doing is important and needed.
While not an operator, I was a Submariner and can relate to DJs story. My Dad was a Submariner and I grew up in that community. Retired at 41 and had spent 36 of my 41 years were that. BZ gents.

Cole seems like the epitome of “speak softly but carry a big stick”
Dude is otherwise boring as hell lol...
There are a good number of men from the SOF world who take being a "quiet professional" more seriously than a heart attack.

Love listening to DJ talk. He’s so eloquent and passionate. You can really feel/see it when he speaks. And man, what a life full of hardships to overcome. Really great guests to have on!
This is my favorite veteran channel. Semi-serious, the perfect amount of humor, reverent when applicable, and always on point. You strike the perfect balance brother.
AT 15:30 THE TEARS COME! MUCH RESPECT FOR YOU BOYS AND WHAT YOU DO FOR YOUR GOLD STAR FAMILY.
DJ- "you can learn from every single person on the earth"...Deep man...but so true, never discount others. Great advice.
Man, hearing these guys talking about skateboarding and CCS magazine is crazy. Deep down they are humans just like the rest of us, with the same hopes and dreams. Instead of chasing those dreams, they chase evil and sacrifice their wants to meet our needs. An incredible group of men.
Just found this channel. WOW! Thank you. Got out in 07. STRUGGLED adjusting to civilian life. The usual.. addi tion.. alcohism. Got it togeather in 2012. Thanks to my daughter, my brother from the rangers. Finally got out of the sand and home. Will follow this channel for sure.
DJ Shipley and Cole give the absolute best interviews .. I could listen to him talk for hours . DJ if you see this please think about a podcast to keep telling your story and the stories of the men you served with . The country I feel needs to hear this now. Great job mike on your interview.
You saw his interview with Shawn Ryan right?
These two Seals are legends. Humble and so dame skilled. Heroes like them need to be around the young kids of today.
Dj your 4.5 SRS seriously helped me. I struggled adapting to civilian life struggled with addiction and eventually ended up in prison till I could turn it around. Head up my guy
Thank you to all of you who have served our country! Salute! 🇺🇸💪🧨
watched DJs interview on the Shawn Ryan shown and his story was crazy.. All these men and women that serve our country truly are heroes 👏
These guys seem to be on the verge of tears, like at any at any moment. Crazy to think they’re deadly but so soft spoken and reserved
Cole is a really cool dude. i wish him nothing but the best! The same to DJ!
Thank you all for taking the time to inform and dare your knowledge. Most appreciated brothers!
Mike, I’d like to see a conversation like this with Andy. He often downplays his time is Devgru. Weather his downplay of his time there is well founded should be up to us. He brings comedy as needed but I feel like we haven’t seen as much of an in-depth look into his career as we have some other. Especially his transition out and creating his podcast. We know how it happened. But I wanna hear struggles and successes in more detail. As well as both of your involvement with BRCC. Great show. Please don’t stop. Ever. 🙏🏻🤙🏻🇺🇸
What makes you feel so entitled to his career? If he doesn’t want to talk about it then he shouldn’t. Doesn’t matter how cool you think it is. Their stories aren’t for your entertainment.
@@turdferguson460 I mean their friendship is awesome and their banter is entertainment. That’s part of the business they have chosen to get into. I respect what they choose to keep private but he has revealed a lot but just not in detail as much as some others have. I feel like out of everyone in the spotlight, Andy downplays his career sometimes and I feel like it deserves a little more detail. That’s all.
@@SavageSon.FJ62like the other guy said: just be satisfied with the little bit he shared so far. Most of you couldn't relate to what you are so eager to to hear about anyways; unless you went the same route
I appreciate these talks, as a civilian it helps me to hear the perspective of the men who gave it all for this country.
Thanks for what you did and are still doing for the USA guys, we really look up to and appreciate you. GOD bless y'all.
Thank you for what yall do. I am a pastor and I regularly think about the vets I served with who are constantly struggling. I try to minister and serve them however I can. thank you for caring about your brothers and sisters in arms.

Another great podcast!!! The amount of experience and knowledge between those three men is priceless. DJ's interview on Shawn's podcast was amazing. Cole needs an interview of his own, I'd like to hear is story too.
Watching this podcast first off I have nothing but love and respect for all these guys and I can’t thank you enough! Secondly I couldn’t help but notice how cole is when answering certain questions I can tell this honorable man has gone through some shit and I can see it eats him inside and out I see the same coming out of DJ. I love seeing these guys coming forth and telling there stories you would be amazed what an hour or 2 can do to someone’s life. There needs to be more of this veterans or civilians it doesn’t matter everyone come together collectively and TALK always remember your not doing anyone any favors being dead. I encourage everyone to step outside your comfort zone and talk to someone you don’t know give him/her your attention always PAY IT FORWARD! Thank you Mike and field craft!
Was a Chief on my last boat. And having to learn how to communicate in a new way as a Supervisor was amazingly difficult.
Rode the boats as well, A Gang for most of my 10 years. Biggest challenge in transition as well was communication and lack of commitment. Even now I miss the comradery.
I appreciate every moment you spent, and action taken, overseas for our great United States. THANK YOU.
I love listening to 2 dev gru guys and a Green Beret having just regular conversations about whatever. Its soo interesting just listening all 3 of these American Heroes.
He doesn't like to talk about it due to friction in the teams I heard, but Mike was Delta aswell. Not sure how long.
I greatly appreciate you guys opening up about the challenges of transitioning to civilian life after a phenomenal military career! I had always wanted to be in the military but chose the path of college then marriage and a family. I always taught my children, "When you see a vet in public, pause and thank him/her for their service." Your piece here has exponentially increased that desire to let you all know how much you are appreciated and that the sacrifices you made were not in vain. At 58 I still dream about how life would have been had I chosen the military and, while your thoughts expressed here have helped me accept my choices, I wonder... Perhaps I will be able to train with some of you in the future. That would be a dream come true. Keep up the fantastic content!!
Love these interactions yall have 2 great companies 3 great dudes.
I totally honor each of your experiences and service. God bless you! I am a Viet Nam vet and we had our times to deal with for sure BUT, you dealt with a world of hell in the sand box and I applaud and honor your service. I say to you THANK YOU!!!!
Did DJ just reference a CCS magazine! That brings back memories from the old days!
Also, DJ's smile when you said "Army vs. Navy" 25:16....lol
Gotta love the competition between branches!
These are some of the few podcasts I can go back and watch again and enjoy them again
Really enjoyed this. By the time this was ending I found myself disappointed that it was doing just that, ending. Endless amounts of knowledge and experience sitting at that table and I can’t thank all 3 of you enough for it. I wish you nothing but the best in your future endeavors and endless happiness. All of you certainly deserve it.
The Honesty & Truth & Struggles hearing them is so refreshing
There’s a saying-
The military got the best of me, and my family got the rest of me.
Doesn’t have to be that way
That pretty much sums it up. I feel like I have nothing left to give
“ The tee shirt folder has an issue w the COO....SEND IT!” You guys are on to a wholly new dynamic in corporate America. WOW. THATS what is needed. Truly showing your employees (family) value and worth. That’s LEGIT!!! 360/720.

its so sick to find out that so many US Navy SEALs are former or current Skateboarders --- from the East Coast teams like these dudes or from the West Coast. Many Skater/SEAL's out there.
Yea bill rapier said he skated on some deployments while he was at the command
Lots of skateboarders in the Navy as a whole as well. 7 of us on my one ship alone.
Yep It kinda makes sense. These dudes getting out now were in high school/college growing up in the golden age of mtv and skate culture in the US. The way I see it when they get out they’re trying to bring back as much as possible about their childhood and what life was like pre enlistment. Their entire lives has been childhood/pre enlistment and now they’re entering the next chapter getting out of a near 2 decade career in the seal teams. Really all they know is seal teams and their high school years. It’s a great community. My age group 25-30 years old currently grew up watching 9/11 happen as young kids and then we grew up skating and many of us enlisted or went on to serve in other capacities. Skate culture can bring a lot of different people together and that’s what I like about it.

Learned a ton here about DJ and Cole. Really like the heart and mind behind what’s driving them, and GBRS as a company, including product design and Knowledge Transfer. Most likely will never really get in their business family circle due to lack of background, and that’s ok. However, when the money is there, the timing is right, and the growth is sustainable will invest in DJ, Cole, and GBRS Group as people and as a company. Maybe an additional hundred acres, building equipment, supplies, labor cost, West Cost branch. Wherever they are wanting to grow or need to grow at the moment and could use a little help. A friend with a good and genuine heart is never a bad thing. Just bless their socks off one day. Nothing in return needed.
