Counting down the days! After we upload we usually spend the rest of the evening plotting the details of the week. Since Jan 1, 23 we’ve been trying to be extra efficient to make sure we can move into the van and re-start our nomadic lifestyle in March! So far we’re hitting schedule!!

I’ve done a bunch of upholstery. If you do upholster again, aside from “easing the edges, I wrap with “Batting” then I use muslin to make a nice “tight package”, before topping with the finished fabric. Makes for a smoother, even, finish. I also cut, shape and sew the finish fabric’s corners. This keeps bulky gathering overlapping at the corners from occurring. Happy upholstering!!!!❤🎉

Any time you're working with someone productive (not to be confused with they're just like you). You will never have a problem executing whatever task/s with zero problems. As the same vision and mentality is present.
I used to work in a Ford seating plant. We made the foam cushions for the luxury Ford vehicles. We used electric carving knives to cut and shape the seats where needed. It sure saves time, effort, and mess.

To round the corners of foam easier than cutting and sanding each surface, just use contact adhesive on the side and glue it to itself (use a lollipop stick to push in the centre and both sides naturallypull together). I do this building puppets all the time, it always leaves a nice rounded finish.
I have had two different recliners in my van (Ford Transit 250 - medium length). Because I use my van as a mobile office, I wanted a really comfortable seat where I could go to the park and open the side door. I highly recommend recliners. I did take mine out because I found another chair that was equally comfortable, but easier to take in and out of the van. I use my van for disaster relief, so I like to have everything in there be something I can easily take out on my own. The recliner was a bit too heavy for me to do that without assistance. I did not find it comfortable trying to sleep in the recliner. I was hoping it would be comfortable for that purpose, which would have allowed me to get rid of my bed. It didn't work out from that angle, because my height and shoulder width didn't line up with the recliner. Also, the recliner tended to keep raising up on me instead of lying flat. Great video !!!

Why do you think the recliner is more for Ladi & not for me? Kinda more for me cuz I’m the social one haha. I’d say this time my office is also better, bigger table and it swivels. But neither of us really own either seat, just depends on that day’s dynamic. No pattern here that warrants concern 😇
This is awesome! Do you know how far it comes out from the wall? I think in my build I want to have 2 of those on one side of my van, and a desk with a rolling chair on the other, so I wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any clearance issues!

Yes! It will be convertible space, but I think we have a better idea than the actuators. We’ve learned at the cabin that even though it’s an awesome feature, at night it can wake the other up. They just aren’t quiet enough yet, but I think we sorted the next best thing
No armrests? No cupholders? No leather? No electric actuators? No thick layers that cushion and hug you with love? No in-built massage? What kind of recliner is this? Ladi, you're loosing your touch, mate! After waiting for so long, I feel somewhat cheated - LOL Me thinketh: that recliner would be a better position to work from. Can that monitor be lowered enough. Maybe some sort of legoon mini-table is also in order for this recliner. From now-on, Lazy-Boy Recliner is the new must in any luxury van! I've seen it before, someone put a big recliner in a minivan mod once. I plan to try this myself sometime. Your video is kinda a waste of time tho, no one is going to re-build a recliner, sweetie and most people don't have those 100k+ campervans.
