What I love about how this scene was shot is that each interlude keeps its integrity. That is, we see one bit, and then rewind and see that moment from another character's POV. It's one of my favourite scenes EVER.

It's cool to see the different expressions, from Billy being zoned in and relaxed, Faraday being excited and amused, Vasquez being nonchalant, Sam Chisolm being Patient and Calm, Then Goodnight being tense and twitchy. All of them were killers and top shooters in their own right, but each of them reacting differently to an oncoming gunfight.

That's because 100 or so years before this gunfight, they started rifling gun barrels to make the bullets spin. A spinning projectile is an accurate projectile.
Really good movie I loved how Denzel brought together a group of people that had different cultures with one goal to die for a good goal SHEEPDOGS that defended the flock of sheep with their lives.
Shhhh, AdamRK78. You're going to upset someone. There are millions of movie watchers who don't have a f#c&ing clue about anything created before 2012 and many think what's on the screen is real anyway. My buddy wouldn't watch Sci-Fi because it was "fake" so he said he'd like to watch something with John Wayne instead, SMH.
the Mexican and the Guyvacho standing back to back in the street taking on all comers. lot of symbolism in that considering they didn't start off the best of comrades.
KidColt_1945 Even then that’s probably not going to happen. When you shoot the bullets, the cartridge expands just enough to want to get stuck a lot of the times. I’ve cleaned my Ruger Vaquero pretty well before shooting it one time and only got a couple of shells to slide out like that. It sure as hell doesn’t happen that fast either, lol.
Not going to lie when I first saw this scene in theaters, I was on the edge of my seat wait to see who was going to move to take the first shot 😂 that was intense asf
This movie in three sentences: (1) "Will you shoot all these people for me?" (2) "Will you come shoot these people for me?" and (3) proceeds to shoot all the people.
I found out how that trick works, because normally, you fire a revolver or any gun and the brass expands slightly to fill the chamber, in this case the cylinder has six of them, and when it does, the ejector rod is necessary to push out the empty cases. But what they did here was to take .44 Special cases, which are slightly smaller in diameter than the .45 Colt rounds that revolver is chambered for. By doing that with that scene with the one handed empty, the cases fall out really quickly because they are narrower. The gun wasn't fired with those, they edited that reload into the scene. It's actually a pretty cool trick.
I hate remakes. This movie is one of the rare exceptions. The scene I like especially in this clip is when the horse carries the dying rider up to the fence, where it stops and eventually he falls to the ground.

A lot of people complained that they took too long to start shooting....um...what do you think the term standoff means?
exactly. Some people with their lack of patience. Anticipation is what makes it so exciting, the tension!
Jessica Cortez I don't see anyone complaining...
agreed, the stand-off is the crucial part of the scene and i feel like it's perfect, as well as the transition into shooting with the music.
My god, if _this_ was too long, I don't know how these people would think of The Good, the Bad, the Ugly's trio standoff!
Movie's criminally underrated
Everyone else: Guns, Revolvers, throwing knives
Wilson Fisk: *Throws a goddamn axe*
Don’t forget the jump tackle to take a guy off a horse
His character in this I believe is John Horne played by Vincent D’Onofronio
I realize why he seemed familiar..
Its MiB’s Edgar.

It was great to see Denzel and Ethan Hawke alongside each other in a flick again. They mesh well together.
Yes I forgot about them in the movie training day. Good movie. 👍
same director too, Ethan is such an old head now i didn't even think about it wow that's 🤯
Barely interacted in this movie, shame.

It's amazing how accurate they were with the revolvers if you compare them to stormtroopers with their automatic fire high tech rifles lol
Faris Razannafi stormtroopers ae very accurate actually.
Making each bullet count instead of just spray-and-pray tactics.
Standard stormtroopers didnt have automatic weapons. The E-11 was semi automatic
That's because 100 or so years before this gunfight, they started rifling gun barrels to make the bullets spin. A spinning projectile is an accurate projectile.
That's because it's hollywood nonsense, people missed alot in gunfights back then and duels were non-existent
