- The Miami Hurricanes defeated the Virginia Tech Hokies, 38-26 in ACC Football play. In a rain-soaked Miami, Tyler Van Dyke threw for 357 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Hurricanes. Wide receiver Mike Harley Jr. caught a 55-yard touchdown pass, Brashard Smith a 75-yard touchdown pass and Charleston Rambo led all receivers with 116 yards receiving in the game. For Virginia Tech, quarterback Connor Blumrick threw 2 touchdown passes and rush for a touchdown.

@@melallen2591 Sweet, I grew up in Murder Gardens (Miami Gardens) Graduated from Miami Norland and went to alot of Canes and Dolphins games in the Orange Bowl I wish they would have just renovated the Orange Bowl The Canes haven't been the same since leaving the Orange Bowl.

Dorsey used to see where the coverage wasnt and throw to a spot and let his athletes make plays. Van dyke is the first qb miami has had that does the same.
Yep, Dorsey wasn’t the most athletic but he was definitely the most intelligent. Good football smarts.
He has really developed into a good qb. Has three more years he can play at Miami.

I'm a Virginia Tech fan (25+ year season ticket holder and going to games since 1978) and I "hate" Miami (sports "hate") but this game was, for we Hokies, about much more than a simple win or loss. Miami played hard and good for them. They played hard for their seniors.
But after Fuente tanked our program, after he took the money and quit on his players and team, missing the last two games, this was about the players and JC Price. They didn't quit. They gave it their all. Our players have been coached down for 6 years. But they are trying and I'm proud of them for it.

At times I saw total offensive domination and at times saw defensive ineptence

Miami probably loses if VA Tech coaches had a clue. Now I see why their coach got fired. The entire staff is a bunch of idiots. They bench QB Burmeister, who was slinging it great for a QB that can only run and gives you no threat in the passing game. Their down 12 late with a QB in the game that can't throw the ball past 10 yards smh.
Ehh you aren't wrong about the coaches but wrong about Burmeister he has been hurt since like week 3, so every game we play he is our starter based on him being the best being 75%... its a shitty situation but it seems they are trying to just get to the end of the season without him being seriously injured.
@Jds1616 No he didn't. I watched the whole game. They benched him because he fumbled on the first drive of the 2nd half that led to 3 pts for Miami. Then the backup QB ripped off a few big runs for VA Tech and then the coaches acted like he was the next Peyton Manning and we never saw Burmeister again.
