Excellent explanations to a lay perso’ns understanding of some commonly believed ‘matters of the heart’ …dispelling some myths with reality. The part about asymptomatic readings, how to spot real signs and deciphering clues for an impending attack were easily understood. Thank you Doctor Aggarwal and thank you Manju for getting us this very helpful capsule.

Dear Manju, kudos to you for bringing forth these health stories. They are indeed very useful for busting some common myths and adding to our knowledge about specific ailments. My takeaway from this episode is the danger of plaque in our blood vessels "bursting" as opposed to remaining stable. It has aroused my curiosity to know more about this phenomenon. Many thanks to you and to all those who have shared knowledge on specific health issues on your podcast. Best wishes!

Thank you for your comment Vinita. Yes, plaque rupture seems to be a serious trigger to clotting and heart attack, plaque deposits are per se not so threatening. This has been my surprise understanding as well. Knowing one’s risk factors and managing these with life style changes, exercise, diet, healthy state of mind, is crucial. Thanks for your interest.
