I have flown 3 times with Malaysian Airlines from AMS to KUL in 2005, 2006 and 2010. For me it was one of the best airlines ever I have flown with. I had always great experiences with them as well the stuff and the food!!
One year on after this video is posted. I am a Malaysian and when I watched the part where each crew member introduced themselves, I teared a little bit because it shows how ethnically diverse Malaysia is. This airline endured a lot in recent years especially in 2014. It deserves to be saved because it carried many Malaysians in the most important milestones of their lives. For me, it was MAS on the KUL-TPE-LAX take took me to the US for college and likewise the reverse when I left the country after graduation.
It’s amazing that they can fly 12 hours today with two engines. Back in the 80s airlines could only fly this distance with four engines, usually the 747, and perhaps with a stopover. Today, that trip can be flown nonstop. Great video again, Sam! 🇬🇧 🇲🇾 Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
My first trip ever overseas was Malaysia Airlines in 2010. It still was my best experience flying as of yet. They stopped flying from Cape Town South Africa. I can't wait to fly with them again someday. I have never flown anything but economy but that's ok as I just enjoy the flying experience when I get the chance.
I flew Malaysian AL from Manila to Kuala Lumpur on the B737-8. Then onto London with a 16 hour flight on the A350. It was a time of firsts, first time on Malaysian AL and also the A350. I was in economy class but even that was first class airline first class hospitality i would fly with them again. Thank you Sam for the review.

Air Zimbabwe has one of the worst services in the world and runs really old aircrafts but they didn't have any incidents in about 40 years. You should do an MRI to check whether you were born without a brain.

Fantastic to see the extra leg room economy looks really spacious. Flying on 14A and 14J in the next couple of weeks MH3 & MH4 and it looks well worth the extra £60 each way for a 12 hour flight!
Hailey Hedland it’s funny because if those two incidents (which were not their fault) happened to Singapore airlines or British or any other highly renown airline no one would be saying this. They are a great airline that had some bad luck, but you are ignorant saying this
The NOTAM area only cover up to 30,000ft from the Ukrainian government on that day, and they did not close off the airspace of the warzone area, and MH17 have flown above that NOTAM at 33,000ft, and they get shot, plus there are 200+ passenger aircraft flown the same route as MH17 that day, the case is just classified as "in the wrong place at the wrong time".

Malaysians are some of the funniest and warm people you will meet. When you are friends with a Malaysian they embrace you and you are a friend for life. It is really a shame we don’t have more Malaysian restaurants in the UK as it’s one of the best cuisines. Anyway to my Malaysian friends I miss you very much.

My family use to travel to the far east via Kuala Lumpur when I was a little child so the airline holds a very special place in my heart. They were better than SQ in the early 2000s so I hope MH can find its mojo back

how were they unavoidable? they shouldn't have been flying over a warzone, and nobody know what happened with 370 but the report states that the pilots must have turned off the transmitter for communication, and that he must have made those turns.
MH17 certainly wasn't entirely the airline's fault, but flying through an active war zone where multiple military aircraft had been downed was kinda reckless. The MH370 disappearance is still debatable, till it's found and the cause of the crash is determined.
You dumbasses.. MH17 wasn’t the only airlines that fly the Ukrainian space! It was an active routes,Singapore and Indian place were using the same path.These two airlines just less than 30 minutes apart during the MH17 incident! FIA hasn’t regulate the area as a war zone too!
@@fanta6285 Singapore Airlines and another airline is lucky because they are just 15 mins apart, on the same route too. It was an active flight path, and at that time of the incident flying around will just cost much more fuel and time. No one will do it when large air regulators did not deem the route as active warzone.
Love Malaysia Airlines use them a lot flying LHR to KUL, but honestly being 6”3 I found the new business class seats on the A350 a bit small when in flat bed mood especially down by the feet a little to boxed in, but other than that i always enjoy my business class service with Malaysia Airlines from beginning to end, the crew goes beyond to ensure absolute perfection

Flew Malaysian Airlines from Stockholm connecting London to Kuala Lumpur with my family on A380. Was amazing experience, the great crew service, hospitality is top notch, a very Asian expertise. They are very nice with kids too. Their pilot skills are superb, esp with landing!
I've been waiting for this. Proud of being Malaysian. You just can't go wrong with Malaysian food. Is just marvelous. I noticed how Malaysian Airlines first class offer plenty of meals in a dish compare to other fist class aircraft, which is worth it! As a food lover, Malaysia Airlines is what I'm going to choose. Hi Sam, great video BTW! Eventhough I am a Malaysian myself, I never got on long haul flight onboard MH. Perhaps, I will consider booking a seat on the airline's long haul route in the near future. Your video gives me that inspiration to try out my nation's airline. I did quite a few medium and long hauls myself before, but mostly on other airlines. So, I will strongly consider MH next time.
I totally agree Sam. I flew once with Malaysia Airlines from London-MNL via KLA. From London to KLA that was A380 my first time with A380 Im so impress aside it s a huge plane, the Cabin Crew staff are professional and you feel the hospitality and friendliness of the Crew I Salute you guys. Also I wont Forget the unlimitted Gin Tonic Drinks hahahah…….I had a good experience of Malaysia Airlines. Thanks once again.

Previously tried the seat on the introductory and training flights while the aircraft was deployed on domestic sectors. The First Class Seats imo are just too narrow and is only comparable as a better Business Class product. Would've preferred if they narrowed the side storage so as to install a wider seat as premium customer pay top dollar for the extra comfort over the Business Class cabin but this is not present in this a350 First Class. The regular Business class seats are at least not so claustrophobic inducing and are much more comfortable. Still have to give it to Malaysia Airlines as their Crew and overall services is still good. Great to see them providing the best as they can to you. Most of my flights i can see most of them looking rather fatigue due to hectic rosters and min rest. Hope Malaysia Airlines tries to get back on track.

The MAS crew are so down to earth and genuine. Unlike SIA crew are trying hard to please the passengers and so fake. On the NEW YORK TO SINGAPORE flight most of the Chinese female crew were trying hard to speak in their phoney Yankee accent. Just because majority of the passengers were Americans, what a farce. And their meals on board are yummy and represent authentic Malaysian cuisine, especially nasi lemak and satay. The name says it all MAS golden service.
As a Malaysian, I hope one day malaysia airlines will achieve 5 star airline like others asean airlines such as garuda indonesia and singapore airlines

Sam, Thanks for your review. I am thinking of Malaysia Airlines again to LHR . As Malaysian, I have in many previous journeys avoided MH flights due to their in-flight services. Its been 4 years since my last KUL-LHR flight. Have opted SQ and EK instead all these while and I really hope their Business class services have improved.
I used to be so terrified of MH because the two crashes, Bermuda Triangle crash and the MH370 idk what happened there but since I watched this it makes me on a good term with MH but it’s impressive how cool the first class seats are! malaysia airlines is a great airline. I have taken their short-haul international flights before, from(if my memories work correctly) Kuala Lumpur to Medan, indonesia. it was a 1-hour flight (0 hour in local time zones XD) and even though it is so short and being in an A320 economy class, it is still very good experience and they provided free peanut and orange juice. and mind you, the ticket price is only at around 20USD! I would definitely say great service, it is a Cathay Pacific(a very good Hong Kong airline) experience for a budget airline price! definitely would recommend Malasia airline for those travelling to Malaysia! (P.S. Avoid AirAsia if your budge would allow you to do so. They are pathetically uncomfortable and there is NO legroom. of course, the fees are cheap.)

The adorable tall guy in premium economy, the lovely staff sounding like Miss Universe contestants as they introduce themselves and the fact that Sam wasn’t lynched by economy passengers as he wandered around in his first class pyjamas! i had a same experience with u. malaysia airlines is the best airlines in malaysia. they got a well hospitality and very nice cabin crew. i wish i have opportunity to travel with their 1st class as well

@@cactusamber1703 actually after mh370 went missing, flights to Europe still continue. But when mh17 crashed, flights to Europe and the US are cancelled. Malaysia airlines said that they will bring back the flights before 2030 and after they released the 787 (MAS said they will order the b787 before 2030 but not yet planned
Thumbs up Malaysian Airlines. This is the best investment MAS had made. Truly s beautiful aircraft and Malaysia airlines did not skimp on shoulder Room. MAS still offer generous 3-3-3 seating arrangement instead of 3-4-3 that squish you like Sardines.

For a second thought the first class seat can be a bit wider by reducing some space from the storage space isn’t. It will be great then.

Nice video Sam and it is good that Malaysia airlines is back on track as a Premium class airlines with Premium service. Last time I flew in business class via a380 from London to KUL. The food was fantastic and I can say its unbeatable 🤣

People should never get a bad image of Malaysia Airlines based on the unfortunate past events, which were unavoidable from the Airlines side😕
Nevertheless, Malaysia airlines is still the nice hospitality throughout the world despite the criticism of unavoidable accidents before.
how were they unavoidable? they shouldn't have been flying over a warzone, and nobody know what happened with 370 but the report states that the pilots must have turned off the transmitter for communication, and that he must have made those turns.
MH17 certainly wasn't entirely the airline's fault, but flying through an active war zone where multiple military aircraft had been downed was kinda reckless. The MH370 disappearance is still debatable, till it's found and the cause of the crash is determined.
You dumbasses.. MH17 wasn’t the only airlines that fly the Ukrainian space! It was an active routes,Singapore and Indian place were using the same path.These two airlines just less than 30 minutes apart during the MH17 incident! FIA hasn’t regulate the area as a war zone too!
@@fanta6285 Singapore Airlines and another airline is lucky because they are just 15 mins apart, on the same route too.
It was an active flight path, and at that time of the incident flying around will just cost much more fuel and time. No one will do it when large air regulators did not deem the route as active warzone.

Love Malaysia Airlines use them a lot flying LHR to KUL, but honestly being 6”3 I found the new business class seats on the A350 a bit small when in flat bed mood especially down by the feet a little to boxed in, but other than that i always enjoy my business class service with Malaysia Airlines from beginning to end, the crew goes beyond to ensure absolute perfection

Flew Malaysian Airlines from Stockholm connecting London to Kuala Lumpur with my family on A380. Was amazing experience, the great crew service, hospitality is top notch, a very Asian expertise.
They are very nice with kids too.
Their pilot skills are superb, esp with landing!

I've been waiting for this. Proud of being Malaysian. You just can't go wrong with Malaysian food. Is just marvelous. I noticed how Malaysian Airlines first class offer plenty of meals in a dish compare to other fist class aircraft, which is worth it! As a food lover, Malaysia Airlines is what I'm going to choose. Hi Sam, great video BTW! Eventhough I am a Malaysian myself, I never got on long haul flight onboard MH. Perhaps, I will consider booking a seat on the airline's long haul route in the near future. Your video gives me that inspiration to try out my nation's airline. I did quite a few medium and long hauls myself before, but mostly on other airlines. So, I will strongly consider MH next time.

From London to KLA that was A380 my first time with A380 Im so impress aside it s a huge plane, the Cabin Crew staff are professional and you feel the hospitality and friendliness of the Crew I Salute you guys. Also I wont Forget the unlimitted Gin Tonic Drinks hahahah…….I had a good experience of Malaysia Airlines. Thanks once again.

Wonderful video Sam. Terrific cockpit take-off footage. And excellent to see the video concentrated on the subjects viewers want: service, food, etc......and NOT SELLING ANYTHING !!....well done !!
Previously tried the seat on the introductory and training flights while the aircraft was deployed on domestic sectors. The First Class Seats imo are just too narrow and is only comparable as a better Business Class product. Would've preferred if they narrowed the side storage so as to install a wider seat as premium customer pay top dollar for the extra comfort over the Business Class cabin but this is not present in this a350 First Class. The regular Business class seats are at least not so claustrophobic inducing and are much more comfortable.
Still have to give it to Malaysia Airlines as their Crew and overall services is still good. Great to see them providing the best as they can to you. Most of my flights i can see most of them looking rather fatigue due to hectic rosters and min rest. Hope Malaysia Airlines tries to get back on track.

Singapore food and hospitatility are far superior. This would cost Malaysia airlines nothing to rectify but they just can't be bothered.
The MAS crew are so down to earth and genuine.
Unlike SIA crew are trying hard to please the passengers and so fake.
On the NEW YORK TO SINGAPORE flight most of the Chinese female crew were trying hard to speak in their phoney Yankee accent.
Just because majority of the passengers were Americans, what a farce. And their meals on board are yummy and represent authentic Malaysian cuisine, especially nasi lemak and satay.
The name says it all MAS golden service.
We should stop the negativity and just be proud of our Asian airlines / Southeast Asian airlines all climbing up the ranks ✌

I am thinking of Malaysia Airlines again to LHR . As Malaysian, I have in many previous journeys avoided MH flights due to their in-flight services. Its been 4 years since my last KUL-LHR flight. Have opted SQ and EK instead all these while and I really hope their Business class services have improved.
I used to be so terrified of MH because the two crashes, Bermuda Triangle crash and the MH370 idk what happened there but since I watched this it makes me on a good term with MH but it’s impressive how cool the first class seats are!

malaysia airlines is a great airline. I have taken their short-haul international flights before, from(if my memories work correctly) Kuala Lumpur to Medan, indonesia. it was a 1-hour flight (0 hour in local time zones XD) and even though it is so short and being in an A320 economy class, it is still very good experience and they provided free peanut and orange juice. and mind you, the ticket price is only at around 20USD! I would definitely say great service, it is a Cathay Pacific(a very good Hong Kong airline) experience for a budget airline price!
definitely would recommend Malasia airline for those travelling to Malaysia! (P.S. Avoid AirAsia if your budge would allow you to do so. They are pathetically uncomfortable and there is NO legroom. of course, the fees are cheap.)

Malaysia airlines said that they will bring back the flights before 2030 and after they released the 787 (MAS said they will order the b787 before 2030 but not yet planned

Thumbs up Malaysian Airlines. This is the best investment MAS had made. Truly s beautiful aircraft and Malaysia airlines did not skimp on shoulder Room. MAS still offer generous 3-3-3 seating arrangement instead of 3-4-3 that squish you like Sardines.
