Trivia: When I went up to the observation deck, yellow sands from the continent were blowing into Hokkado and there was almost no visibility all morning and afternoon! I went up to the observation deck around 13:30pm but I was unable to see anything! I almost gave up on making this video but around 3 hours before my flight back to Tokyo, finally the yellow sands were clearing up. I hastily bought another ticket and went up again. This video was the best I could do this day.

Thanks again for your video. I love the design of the fort. I never had the opportunity to visit it myself. But i visited his brother (or sister) on the other side of the world. Fort Naarden, the Netherlands. It's shows the centuries of friendship and cooperation between our countries. Much love from a random Oranda jin.

A shame you missed the cherry blossoms. I was in Hakodate for the peak weekend and it was incredible (worth the incredibly cold, windy weather). I was in Japan for 6 1/2 weeks, and I managed to catch cherry blossoms just about everywhere I went, to varying degrees. The most striking though were Fukuoka and Hakodate, both of which were at peak.

You are lucky to be able to catch sakura season in so many places! I was in Tokyo, Himeji ruclips.net/video/1VR03I3b3Qc/видео.html and Kyoto ruclips.net/video/XDeQaRZ_xyA/видео.html this year. Hopefully next year, I'd like to visit Hokkaido too.

@@VSV_Japan Yes, I was really lucky. A week after Fukuoka (Hakata Castle ruins are a wonderful place to film at peak, even worth the 2,000 yen to get into the light show), I was in Kobe, and Asashi Castle ruins was amazing. Full bloom trees that were just starting to shed their flowers on a breezy day. Made the lake bordering the northwestern side of the castle rise absolutely beautiful.
