    It’s nice to re-visit books I read awhile back through these videos! So helpful and often I find that you picked up something way more valuable and helpful then when I read. Saves me time from having to re-read the whole book and can instead quickly get the key points that I can then implement right away!!!! Thank you!

    This is an awesome video, The book is on my must read list. I hear a lot about empathy and putting yourself in the other person's shoe's in negotiations, persuasion, influencing. It's a master key, and the more you use it the better you'll get at it.

    I am addicted to your channel. Your little summaries and the cute, clever animations are always spot on (except for the occasional spelling mistake!). Please keep up the good work.

    The content is informative and engaging, making a strong case for viewing sales skills as essential life skills. It encourages the audience to reconsider the concept of sales in a broader, more relatable context, and provides practical advice for developing these skills to improve personal and professional interactions.

    Handling and conveying to people is very hard. They have ego, don't want to listen, try to brag about themselves and the worst is it's switch of attitude from person to person.

    So in a sense the power dial dynamic is similar to the law of reciprocity. You give them power to which they feel compelled to give something in return, ideally a sale.

    Thanks Nathan for yet more valuable insights. Who would you say the book is targeted towards? And where might you place Pink's messages in the context of other recognised authors in this space, i.e. Robert Cialdini; Zig Ziglar, Jay Abraham?

    • @ProductivityGame
      @ProductivityGame  7 лет назад +6

      Maru Ririnui great questions. I would say it's targeted for the knowledge worker who needs to constantly sell their skills, ideas and work to get ahead. It's just as much for an entrepreneur as it is for a project manager working in a large corporate firm. Pink references all the great persuasion/sales experts you mention, so I would say it's a book that's trying to curate all the best sales knowledge and make it relevant for the 21st century worker.

      Good enough for me, I'll have a read. The most insightful sessions I attended at a Usability Conference a few years ago were on selling ('The 6 Step Sales Cycle online' by Bruze Tognazzini) and focusing on benefits over features

    Thank you very much Nathan. May I suggest you to put more of your opinions in your vidéos, as a conclusion ? Is the book Good ? How is it compared to an other book in the same field ?
    Do you plan to review mastery from Robert greene ? Or perennial seller from holiday ? Thank you again.

      Thank you, Johann. Great suggestion, I will put more emphasis on my opinion. Please note: I don't put every book I read on this channel, only the books I find helpful to my productivity/effectiveness and I think will help my subscribers. Therefore, all my book reviews come highly recommended. Mastery is a great book and I do plan to make a video on it in the near future. Just finished Perennial Seller, hope to share a video on it soon.

    Regret video sir ! How to do when the buyer is playing cunning games, no perspective of seller and it's just a price war. How to deal with arrogant, unprofessional buyer ? I know it's better to avoid but I feel there are many like this and it's difficult to avoid.

    Let's apply that logic to the example of cleaning. If I am motivated to clean at only 3/10, how would all these techniques be applied to make me more motivated? The theory isn't adding up to reality

    Another great summary. With yet another typo... it's Michael, not MichEAl! I'm now getting quite distracted by these typos. How's about having another disinterested party review your presentations - someone who doesn't know anything about the topic and can read it with fresh eyes?
