  • New F150 had a rattle in the gauge cluster area. The noise turned out to be two plastic clips behind the bezel. Once the noise was identified I removed the two white clips behind the gauge bezel and applied two small pieces of electrical tape to the clip posts to stop the plastic on plastic rattle.

    I’m basically at the point where I’m putting electrical tape over every single clip behind the plastic. The rattles are everywhere.

    Yup, my '19 makes an infernal "clicky" rattle. Mine seems to stop when I pinch the whole thing near the top. But I've also gotten it to stop by pressing on the bottom portion as well. I will give this a try! Thanks for the video man!

      Did you figure it out? Mine has the same issue

      @Kevin_Knox 2 года назад

      @@jisforjeff1950 I did in fact. it was the gauge cluster all along. I put tape on all of those plastic clips that drop down the section underneath the steering column for good measure, but it ended up that the "male/female'' mounts for the gauge cluster were the culprit. I put a layer of electrical tape between them and haven't heard the clicking rattle since!

      @@Kevin_Knox Whats the male female mounts? Ive got a rattle that sounds like what your saying.

      @@nicholaswenninger3728 If you remove the cluster, you'll see the mounts i'm talking about. BTW just for the record, that rattle is still gone since I did that fix.

    any thoughts on what i think is dash rattle . truck needs to be at operating temp, traveling at 50mph for it to start. Once it starts it doesn't stop until i drop below 40 mph. Returns once i pass 50 mph. Smooth roads. Somedays- not a sound, other days- rattles all day long

      Hopefully this works for you too, it would definitely be better than having to get a new dash.

      @@BoundCountry thanks for the video of course it is really helpful. But I meant in general I never had a good experience with American cars and my last car was a 2021 f-15 which was loaded with issues. Bought a used Lexus and it is absoloutely seamless and perfect.
