Just saw your comment. I had $260 (cash) sat on there and it just slid into that gap. I opened the slider which made it worse.

This was extremely helpful getting the center dash apart, as a first step to some other instructions I was following on the F150 forums, to fix the airbox selection issue (stuck on vent only, no floor or defrost!) Unfortunately, those instructions did not work for what I found behind all the control panels on a 2016 F150 Platinum........ Would you by chance know how to fix that issue???? Otherwise I have to have the dealer pull the whole dash apart and give them probably $1k - $2k which I can't afford in this biden economy...........

Pry tool or scim wedge is what I call it at work. I’ve seen the exact orange ones come with some dash cams and backup cameras, but you can buy them too. Just don’t go with sharp metal ones, if you get a metal one make sure it’s rounded
