- A simple fix! To the annoying rattle that sounds like a loose screw or a plastic to plastic rubbing inside the steering wheel of a 2011 Ford F150 SVT Raptor.

This is fantastic thank you I've been dealing with this for 3 years.. I couldn't figure out where the hell it was coming from. Today while driving back from Florida I spent some time poking around when I was at speed on the highway and I definitely could figure out it was coming from the airbag area. Going to fix this as soon as I get home
I didn’t necessarily have this problem but my steering wheel was getting loose. And I didn’t know how to get the airbag off. So thanks a lot, best thing that happened to me in 2020 so far!
I need to do that, do you tighten the black screw?

I know you posted this a while ago, but I had that noise in my 2012 F150, just as you said, when hitting dips in the road, etc. I was skeptical that such a simple fix would do it, but hopeful, as it was getting pretty bad. And sure enough, it worked! Thanks for posting this.

Hey. Just wanted to confirm my same diagnosis. Did the rattling mostly occur when the vehicle was at idle? Rattling seems to happen only when I’m at a stop. You’re not joking it’s annoying
In my case it was mostly when driving on imperfect roads. But, if you hear something similiar in that area then most likely it's a similar problem like I had. Sorry for replying so late!
Did you confirm that it was the same thing causing noise for your car? I have a Jeep and have the same issue: rattle when the car is in drive but not moving. Sounds exactly like a wire tapping on something! It's the most annoying thing!
