Paul Revere & the Raiders Have Love, Will Travel Stereo Remix 2024

Here’s Paul Revere & The Raiders at perhaps their most inebriated. I remixed this single using both the Mono and Workout album’s Stereo version to give it more aural depth. Then cutting back to one for the stereo one first the verses because they are two completely different vocal takes along with a lot of shouting which the producer encourages. I have shortened its length so it doesn’t overstay its welcome. The song, recorded in 1964, probably better than any other, indicates what they were like before they signed with Columbia Records, when they were volatile and hungry. For years they traveled through the Pacific Northwest playing wherever: Armouries, VFW Halls, whatever. They were the most intense thing you could experience during those years and their version of Louie Louie, helped set the song as an Anthem of the youth at that time. It was a powerful thing to behold and every other band was in their shadow whether they wanted to acknowledge it or not. They were Gods! As soon as the ink dried on their contract with Columbia things got very bumpy, but they eventually prevailed with a handful of big hits.
