There has been a high school downtown for over 50 yrs. My older sister attended Jones Commercial High School and graduated in 1975. There has never been an incident like this occurring at the school. Nothing wrong with a high school in the middle of downtown. You also have John Marshall School of law downtown and Roosevelt University.
