Slash is a HUGE Aerosmith fan. In his memoir he said that the album Rocks was the record that made him want to pursue guitar.
He said fuck multiple times infront of a school band. Gotta love slash XD.
It's funny how his voice still shakes in front of the crowd after all he's been trough.. I mean the guy played sold out stadiums with stone cold coolness, but when it comes to speaking he's still a bit shaky :)) That means he is human after all... which means there might still be a little hope for all the guitarists looking towards this guy :))

You have to think about the fact that he is extremely iconic and his style was different at the time. Guns N' Roses is a band you cant forget about in rock history because they still made their mark in the glam and grunge era. You can't deny that slash is a great guitar player because the even the say he is. Let alone he's jammed with some of the best. Even if you dont think he deserves the award you should at least have some respect for him keeping his style and relevance.

To be fair though Slash didn’t have much a choice but to give it back. JP hounded him about it for months trying to buy it back. Keeping a guitar knowing the original owner wanted it back would have ruined having it for Slash. Would have tainted being it’s new owner.

Aw Man, Joe Perry really has a lot of love, respect and admiration for Slash. He is wearing his heart on his sleeve here man! I love Slash and was and still is a huge fan of him but seeing this also makes me have a newfound love for Joe Perry! He's a really nice fuckin guy!

True af! Some people, especially those are playing for just a while think shredding is the hardest skill to master! While Ill not say its easy by any means, the thing thats exponentially harder is writing riffs and licks that are beautiful and thought provoking, and Slash has been doing that for over 25yrs now! Its not the bpm that matters, its what touches the soul!
People pointed out Saul is not technically great guitarist(yes I have seen his mistakes, he is not good at bending and his guitar is sometimes out of tune)but he is surely great riff maker and has a great feeling. Sometimes it is not about scale and splendid picking ability, I love blues musician and jazz guitarist, those groove and feeling, rhythm are also important. But I admiring shredder too, and also slapper.
Songwriters like Jim"bo"my Page and Brian May are actually great. Check out their bands.
How is Joe still standing these days? This is awesome, legend introducing legend. Maybe next year Slash will give Joe the award :)
